      i don't think phil being a good coach is relevant here. here, they are talking about how phil would also do the slightly more selfish thing that is joining a talented team instead of a friend's team.

    Steve Kerr is an absolute class act. Amazing coach, got the absolute most out of Steph, Klay, and Dray (and possibly the young guys, time will tell) but always credits the talent around him. Yes he came into a great situation, but like I said earlier, he got the most out of that team and there have been lots of coaches who have failed to win with talent around them. exactly why I was upset that casey took the pistons job. they had no talent when he got there and stripped it further..same with silas. its good to just want a job but its OK to be picky

    I think Bob Myers stepped down from gold state because he knew the warriors wouldn’t be giving Klay Thompson the money he wants. He became to emotionally attached to that core group of players and couldn’t be the one to tell Klay, “you’ve achieve great things, but as we stand we can’t pay you the 💰” He didn’t want to have to tell him 2015 was years ago and that we’ve all AGED. Ps I’m a warrior fan, that’s just a though

    No coach can take a team without talent to a title. But many coaches can lose with a team with enough talent to win a title.

    Phil would surely go to coach Steph and Klay. But I don't think he is answering the phone to coach Draymond.

    Steve Kerr landed in the best situation ever for a coach. A team that was built by another coach . A team that was surging.

    What about Mark Jackson

    • @judyclarkson5887
      @judyclarkson5887 ปีที่แล้ว +22

      Kerr took that team to another level. Anyone who noticed know about this. They played just like everybody else under Mark, running isos, offense kinda stagnant, heavy pick n roll and all that. Kerr was the one who introduced that players and ball movement system, made that move by replacing David Lee with Draymond in the starting lineup, and started employing Curry occasionally as a decoy rather than as a classic PG who handles the ball all the time and kinda sharing that duty with Draymond.

      What about Mark Jackson. He had a great team just didn’t know how to coach what he had. You can have an ideal roaster but if you can’t coach, it’s pointless.

    Context: The Knicks sucked back then while the Warriors was promising young group that was one game away from beating a power house Clippers team. The knicks literally got nothing except a frustrated Melo and a huge NY fanbase.
