Thanks for the video. If you had agreed to the reserve (about 13k think you said) and offers came in at that level would you have been compelled to accept or could you walk away ?
A very informative review describing the whole process through in detail. Super thanks for this....normally people waffle on with their life story and why they walk on this earth 🙄🙄
Hello Gary glad to hear the Cupra sale was pretty easy! I similarly sold a mk6 Golf GTI a few years ago not with Motorway or WBAC. Did it online, a guy came out to appraise it, sent the info on his tablet. They knocked me down but I stuck out for the original price. He backed me on the condition and I got what I wanted. Hassle free is really a bonus nowadays! Looking forward to the S1600 vids. 👍🏻
It’s definitely a less stressful way to sell a car. I hate the thought of selling a car privately that’s worth north of 10k, plus people are quite reluctant to buy cars of that value privately too. Thanks for watching 😊
@carfocused Hey! Im the lady that assisted you with listing your vehicle. I got to work and everyone was so impressed with our phone conversation and your honest and positive review💛💛
Good 2 hear u had a,good experience with motorway I've got 2 say I sold my Mk2 ST focus 2 we buy any car & they were really good aswell got alot more 4 my car than any garage including ford was going 2 give me so well worth shoping around
Exactly mate - try and hide all the scuffs / imperfections etc from the start, then wonder why the price is knocked down. I was just 100% honest with the condition and then had no nasty surprises!
Result! My mate was going to P/X his 520d touring next week for 8k - I convinced him to try motorway and he’s been offered £9,300 for it! He’s well chuffed now!
Did a deal with Motorway, when the guy turned up,he said there was a chip in the windscreen, which literally was microscopic ( I know everyone says that)started pulling the car apart,he said it was his job to find faults as he gets more money from the dealer,I pointed out to him where the bus stop was. Avoid at your peril.
I used Motorway for selling both of my Ford Puma ST's. One sold for more then the reserve price but the other one didn't sell as the highest price was £1k below reserve. As you mentioned though, very easy to set up and follow the app. I would certainly try Motorway again. Please to hear you got basically what you wanted. Now we get to look forward to Fiesta vids 👍
I've used a few over the years now, motorway has been good a couple of times now. Not many people have the money for cars over a few grand these days for private sales so selling to trade seems to be the only way! Always good to try a chunk of places as they all differ for me every time 😅
Thanks for sharing this, i tried CarWow's version of this in April and it wasnt the best. I got really low offers and didnt bother with it, got more selling to Arnold Clark.
I used Carwow in Feb 2023 to sell my 15 month old low mileage CLA 35. Carwow use exactly the same format as Motorway. I rejected Carwow's reserve estimate because the car will automatically sell at that price without me needing to approve it, so I told them to set the reserve £500 higher. My car sold on the day of the auction for my reserve price, then the dealer contacted me and arranged to pick up the car which happened 4 days later.
Found this very helpful! Happy you had a good experience with Motorway as I have only heard positive things online particularly compared to WBAC. I am guessing CarWow charge more fees given there high profile TH-cam channel?
Hey Sam, glad you’ve found it helpful. As for CarWow, I didn’t try them as I was happy with the offer from motorway and I needed a quick sale. It would be interesting to compare them both! Wbac will need to up their game as more and more people will just chose this direction instead in order to get a better price.
Same experience as I had with CarWow last year. I expect to sell my current car with either CarWow or Motorway when the time comes. I got £3k more for mine than I’d been offered as a trade in!
When I tried to sell my tesla they set a reserve about £1k lower than I wanted but never told me it was possible to get more. They basically said thats all I'd get
Would be interesting to know what or how the process continues if you turn down the first 'highest bid' ? Do you then just go into the next day's auction or ....? Cheers
@carfocused Hey! I'm actually the lady you spoke to that helped you list your vehicle on Motorway 💛 - got to work and everyone was so impressed with your honest and positive review.
@@oyamavato3961 - Can I ask a question please…..if I agree a sale but when the dealer turns up they then offer me a price substantially lower than the winning bid price, I’m I still obligated to sell the car to them?
FYI WeBuyAnyCar were offering me around £13800 - that’s without deducting anything for imperfections….
Did you consider using Carwow as well?
AND you know there would of been deductions from them!!
Thanks for the video. If you had agreed to the reserve (about 13k think you said) and offers came in at that level would you have been compelled to accept or could you walk away ?
There is no obligation to accept any offer 👍🏻

😂😂 thanks for taking the time to comment 👍🏻
That’s good to know and see you had a good experience! were there any hidden admin fees?
None at all. What I was offered was what I was paid 👍🏻

Oh what a small world 😁 You’re welcome, always happy to share and recommend companies when they do a good job 😊
Interesting mate - will bare this in mind as i might be using them in the future ...
Nothing to lose in giving it a go! My mate got £1,000 more selling his 5 series touring through them!
Good 2 hear u had a,good experience with motorway I've got 2 say I sold my Mk2 ST focus 2 we buy any car & they were really good aswell got alot more 4 my car than any garage including ford was going 2 give me so well worth shoping around
Glad they gave you a good price - they offered over £1,000 less than motorway for mine!
Glad you had a good experience the people who complain are the ones who aren't honest in the first
Exactly mate - try and hide all the scuffs / imperfections etc from the start, then wonder why the price is knocked down. I was just 100% honest with the condition and then had no nasty surprises!
Sold my Mondeo through them, made 800 more on it which I was over the moon with. Pain free collection and transaction 🎉

Great to hear your experience - has similar with carwow looks like they use the same process
Great news. Sounds very similar to my experience with Carwow
So easy and hassle free isn’t it!
Very helpful, thank you. Subscribed 👍🏼
Thank you!
I think I would have done the same.. Saves a lot of hassle, etc ... Never considered Motorway tho. .... Well done 👍
Definitely one to consider if you’re thinking of selling at any point!

Seems to be the complete opposite of the experience I had!

@@CHUNKYLOZZA indeed matey 😊 At least there’s no obligation to accept the highest offer so really there’s nothing to lose in having a go 👍🏻

Hang this in the Louvre. Thanks for sharing your experience! 🙌
My pleasure!👍🏻

They can never say for sure until it’s gone out to auction. You should have let it run!
Very interesting gazza
But how much did fees cost you no mention of them?
I didn’t get charged any fees - literally the process was as described in the video. They made me an offer, that was how much I was paid 👍🏻
@@CarFocused Motorway get paid by the buying dealer after its collected its usually around £4/500
No fees to worry about
Fair play if they don't charge good you got what you want

I’m not sure - but yes I’d assume it would go into the next auction…
I wasn’t happy with my offer, was told I’d have to take pictures again and go for another auction. Chances are price would be similar, maybe less.
