I love this sermon so much! It is truly the way to win souls and grow the church. You are born in sin. The only way out is Jesus. We are nit "good"...we are all sinners...and we have broke every commandment according to the bible. Further, understanding our mindsxarexan "emnity" against God. "Our hearts are wicked beyond all things who can know it?,". It's so key to understand what kind of sinner we are before we understand the Love that Jesus showed at the cross. We loved him because he first loved us. Sometimes I wish pastor would just hammer it home more! You are on death row condemned to death and hell. I want to hit this one more time cas a comment...I wish pastor would describe believers and church as a hospital. Broken people in need of a savior. We are not worthy of the holiness and purity and the justice required to be with God. The son was so necessary. We deserve the justice of eternal damnation. No doubt we are human born against God. We can never meet his standard of holiness and purity of God. The cross is our only way out!. The grace of God is so incredible I struggle for words through tears. Jesus talked 3 tines more about hell then he ever talked of heaven. Hell is not made for us! Yet it is God's justice for our inability to meet God's standard of holiness. God cannot even look upon sin. He could not look upon his son on the cross...because he was burdened with our sin. Imagine Charles Spufgeon said: "Hell was bore out of sin". Further, Spurgeon painted a picture one sunday in surrey gardens where he preached alot....saying,"angels looking around at the cobwebs on the crown wondering what is wrong with us". The angels understood the holiness and purity and justice of God. We seem to miss the mark. All this to say....",we needed a. Savior like Jesus for the terrible sinners we are". I use the word "terrible" because it's as nice as I can be. If we showed our hearts on display what would they really look like to the church to the world. "Terrible is going easy. God made a beautiful creation us and we turned our backs. Sinned and Jesus came back and just showed up the bible says..paraphrase we would crucify him again. The point is we are under condemnation and we needed the grace of God to save us. Thats why God's love is so amazing ❤!!!!. We deserve nothing..and through Jesus we get everything! THATS LOVE. He loves us so much! He allowed his man/God/son to die shamefully on the cross. The emblem of suffering and Shame. In a perfect being Jesus God's son. THATS LOVE. I fall down in tears and if your not in tears when speaking of hell you really do not understand the depth of your savior! Even so he died for you rose again and conquered death. Repent of your sins. We die with Jesus on the cross we raise again a new man. I'm not saying we do not sin I'm saying the savior has grace for our sin. THATS LOVE! So I pic up my cross and march on knowing full well I'm only saved by faith and the grace of God. I deserve nothing...I fall to my knees...God said his grace is "sufficient" for me. I love my savior so much! I humble myself daily to my savior. The good news of salvation is necessary because I was dead in my sin until I died with my savior and found the grace and love he offered. I cannot say enough about how much of a sinner I am needing how much of a savior I have.
