They made a documentary where they went with Niles and took him back to Vietnam. It’s really interesting.

Was honored to serve in the 173rd for part of my military career and lucky enough to meet some of the Vietnam era Herd Vets during the reactivation ceremony in June of 2000.

I remember being on an American Airlines flight and upon landing,
The Captain said to remain seated as a fallen soldier was being loaded off the flight! The passengers were very respectful! Then a small young choir broke out in "God Bless America" and everyone joined them! One beautiful moment I will never forget! Love from Texas

I can't even make it through Chris Kristofferson talking without crying. Another great reaction and thanks again for honoring us veterans. Wrong Side of Heaven by Five Finger Death Punch is a very informative video about veteran issues. Sadly it's an old video and the statistics have gotten worse. Currently 22 veterans take their own lives each day. The band has another great video dealing with survivors guilt called Gone Away.

Gone Away is a cover of The Offspring. Both versions are good.

Thank you for your reaction, great job honoring our vets! I was in high school that day and lost drafted classmates. I cry every time I hear this.

Fear comes in the silent times. Once action begins you don't have time to think about being afraid.

One of the guys who died & who's picture is shown (Daniel Sobota) is from my home state of Illinois. He was only 18 years old. So young. So sad.

We lost my cousin over there. He was a Marine but, only 21. My Uncle and another cousin were drafted at 19 shortly after. My Uncle still struggles with what he went through.

It's hard but, this should be a mandatory video played on TV over and over at LEAST once a year. I've never seen this, and although it's sad and considered a downer... we Americans can forget so easily what our freedom costs! After 9/11 i know i felt love from strangers and we came together as a country stronger than ever.. i hope it doesn't take another tragedy for us to love our fellow man again 💔 but sadly, i think thats whats coming 😢

The imagery is nothing compared to the smell. If we had smell-ivision, we would never have another war.

I think the movie "We Were Soldiers" was based on the same conflict that this song was based on. I could be wrong, but I think I read that somewhere.

My cousin served in the Army in War of Vietnam for 2 years n said it was HELL. The soldiers were called baby killers. The Vietnamese would strap bombs on women n children n make them walk over to our soldiers n set off the bomb. Their soldiers would tell them if they didn't their whole family would be killed. When out fighting they would often see children carrying rifles n would shoot at our soldiers. Many times my cousin would run into them n had to shoot. To this day he has nightmares. Please react to "Courtesy Of The Red, White n Blue" Toby Keith n " Arlington" by Alan Jackson
