Hi Lona, and you're welcome x and trust me I use to have a field day in the beginning trying to familiarise myself with shipping. And I haven't had a bad experience thus far but honestly it did give me a little bit of anxiety because I couldn't track it and it may take longer than usual, especially now with Covid. Track and signed is the most safest option but it's relatively more expensive. So it's whatever option you feel best accommodates your situation x
This entire video was very helpful! I have one question, I own an etsy store and my international customers pay for tax along with the item price. On the customs form would I need to write down the amount included with tax or just the price and quantity of the items purchased by the customer before tax? For example one item which is £25 but a customer has had to pay a £5 fee will the total price on the customs form be £25 or £30. Thank you again!
Hey, I’m glad you’ve found the video helpful! I’m not entirely sure tbh whether you should include the tax price too but if they’re specifically asking about the price of the product in your custom form then I would just put the price of the product which is £25 in this case x

The customs labels are for items UP TO and OVER certain thresholds, so I think you read it wrong by saying I've never posted anything over £270 - because the customs label CN22 is for items under that amount. Have you not had any problems with this? Or do you just send personally instead of your business? And if doing that, do you not include any business flyers or postcards etc?
Hey sis, and no I'm afraid I haven't ..yet! But it does estimate 6-7 days. But I would say when I was sending my package to Denmark, it took more than a week when the delivery aim is 3-5 days. I'm assuming the delays was due to COVID, so it might not always arrive at the given time frame mama x

For letters, what stamps would i need for Italy? Hi Kieran, I was informed a custom label is only required if 1) the item is valued over £270 or 2) the item weighs over 2KG. Those are the criterions for needing a customs label. You can get it from your local post office, they're really small and convenient to stick on your package.

Hey Abbie 🧡 and I’m glad you found it helpful! They usually ask you to fill out a customs form if your package is valued £270 or more. Also they require a customs form if the item weighs more than 2kg! You can pop into your local post office and request to get one and stick it on your package if it meets the requirements 💛 (it’s small and convenient)

Hey there :0) I'll be sending lots of packages to the States from the UK. One think I noticed on Click and Drop is that there isn't a box to fill in for the state it's being sent to. Will they figure it out based on the zip code?
Hey Stephanie, I'm pretty sure the postal clerks at the post office will double check to ensure it goes to the correct address. But the zip-code should give them the info they need for the parcel to go to the right state :)

Hi there and I went back to my intl shipping label that I did and yes I confirm there is still a barcode being produced even if it is intl standard. I can still ask for a receipt but I just don't have the tracked no. hope that answers your question :)

Hey Littleman Rio! Hope you're well and I'm glad you're starting your business soon and sure I can help elaborate. So there's 5 categories: UK, Europe, Zone 1, Zone, 2 and Zone 3. So the first two are obvious, and Zone 1: is mainly covers North America (excluding the USA), South America, Africa, the Middle East, the Far East and South-East Asia. Zone 2 are countries such as: Fiji, New Zealand, etc you can find the list on the Royal Mail website. And Zone 3 is the USA, exclusively. Lastly yes, you're right! Diff world zones has different prices, and they ascend as you transcend through the zones. Zone 1 being the least expensive to Zone 3 being the most expensive. These zones are just categories to group locations/countries, so we can estimate how much it will cost to ship there and it's dependent on the weight of the package too, the heavier it weighs the more expensive it will be. I hope this breakdown helps you out. I'm gonna do an updated video but I got exams atm so I will upload when I can :)
Can you select on Royal Mail if you don't want to show your return to address ( your address )? Because I want to do my labels through them but I just don't want to show my address to everyone when it's shipped :) Really informative video, will definitely come back to it if I have to send something international!
Hey Janett, I hope you're well. Fortunately, they already have that option for domestic shipping labels. I will be doing an updated video on domestic orders and there's a box you tick, if you don't want your address to be revealed. It can be easily overlooked as it's so small :( Also for intl shipping labels they're changed it recently where you can also opt out of showing your address. I hope that answers your question x
Hey and yes you do it’s called CN22 custom form and you can literally get it from your post office or you can fill it out whilst your buying your shipping label and stick it on your parcel. It’s required if the package weighs over 2KG and/or if the item is worth over £270 x when I did this video my package weighed less so I didn’t have to fill out. But recently I had to so I’ll do an updated video x

Do you know if Royal Mail has one of those services where a Royal Mail van comes to your warehouse/work place to collect and ship high volume orders instead of going to the post office?
Another question do you have a set delivery charge for international orders because seeing from your video they vary depending on the country so how do you figure out a set price for international delivery without your brand taking a loss?

Yes I do! My set delivery charges is based off the most expensive zone which is the USA 🇺🇸 that way I’m not dipping into my profits but also take into consideration how heavy your packages weigh! The heavier the more pricer etc
It’s relative to the dimensions of the poly mailer but the small letter option isn’t always viable as it’s so small (paper thin). So I usually always opt for the large letter x

Hi, im trying to send a product but not a letter. I'm done signing all the information and that, but do i need it to put it on a box and print the labels? Or are they the ones who's gonna provide it for I went to pick the collection from home so they can get it from me. Im just so confuse for this will be my first time. 😟
Hey Christian, and don't worry I was very confused in the beginning as well. If you've finished inputting all the necessary information then you can print it out at home if you have a printer. But if you don't have a printer you can go to your local printing shop and print out the shipping label and stick it on your package, I would recommend sticky paper made for labels (amazon sells them), if not then I'm sure you could glue it on. I have never picked the collection from home option so I'm not sure if they will provide the label but it would be wise if you just printed it out yourself just incase they don't provide that service. I hope that clears up your confusion, if you have any more questions I'll try my best to help you :)
They usually weigh the items and they have this letterbox size guide to ensure it fits through x if it doesn’t then you are required to pay more for the postage

Kaniyas Space thank you so much. How would that work for the international orders ?? The item will need to be tracked and signed just because of what I’m selling. It says it will be £10.07 to send to USA. I know I may sound silly but how would they pay it, as it’s around on the website with the price of the product and shipping.

Hey girl and yeah I had that same issue because I didn't opt for international tracked which would of cost me £9.17 as opposed to £3.66 without it being tracked. As far I'm aware if you don't apply a tracking no. then the owner is liable for that, unless you apply a compensation amount in which Royal Mail will step in. It's honestly a risk you must be willing to make, in my case I was sending it off to a friend so I was routinely checking up on her, to make sure she received her order. But I'll continue to do some research and if I find anything interesting I'll be sure to send it your way xD
Hey and I’ve just popped into my local post office to enquire about your question and they said you only require a customs label if you are shipping an item that weighs more than 2KG, so if it’s less than that, then you don’t need to place customs label on there. Hope that answers your question

Hi Manaahil, hope you’re well and welcome to the UK sis, I hope your transition is smooth 💛 and tbh I’ve never dropped it off at the postbox. But looking through the Royal Mail website it allows you to send it through the postbox if it’s international standard and it needs to be small enough to fit through + also add the custom form on the package too. However, if you want the service to be intl tracked you can’t ship it via the postbox because it needs to be electronically scanned at the post office/delivery office x hope that helps and if you need any more clarification, I’ll try my best to help 🙏🏿

Hey Osas I’m not sure how to rectify that issue perhaps enquire with your local post office x and you can hand write your shipping label just ensure it’s eligible 💖 lastly I have never needed to confirm my identity, I just take the receipt they provide as evidence that I’ve shipped the package. But if you wanna take any form of ID with you for precaution, then go for it mama

For example Europe is 3-5 days and world wide delivery aim is 6-7 days and from my experience albeit limited experience, it does arrive without it being tracked. Opting for tracked and sign is more expensive but if that’s an option you can afford then by all means go for it 🖤 there’s more security

It honestly depends on the weight of the hoody and where you plan to send it? Domestic or intl? If you give me the weight then I can give you a rough estimation
Just looked it up and if you did it via large letter (polymailer) then it’s from £5.90 (click and drop) or if you do through a small parcel it’s £8.90 but I think you can get away with a large letter. Btw this quota is for intl standard. For tracked it starts from £14.30
@@nadeemm04 for shipping alone? That's excessive especially if you ship it as a large letter and put it into a polymailer. If you want it tracked then it shouldn't exceed £20 and that's even pushing it.
Custom labels are only for items valued up to £270 which in that case a CN22 form is required. Or if the package is valued over £270 then customs form CN23 is required. However, if your package is no where near that price then you don’t need a customs label as far as I’m aware

Hey Nia, so you could look at the different zones and the USA is the most expensive shipping being Zone 3, so you could use them as an indicator to how much to charge. My weight on avg. is consistent (for my past orders) and if it was a little bit more then I would just subsidise it x
They can pay through your website (if applicable) if not then you can accept payments through dm’s if you’re just starting out - and let them know the price of shipping so it can be included in the overall transaction

Hi Chris and thank you for your well wishes, really appreciate it :) and I went to my local post office this morning and she said that it's a part of the regulations. So incase the customer wants to return the package, they know where to return it to etc so I'm afraid there's no way of opting out (as far as I am aware). In regards to the second question, I've just checked the RM website and because the item weighs more than 2kg it won't be sent as a "small parcel" but rather a "parcel" which is really expensive; a reference they gave was via ParcelForce worldwide for £71.05 with a 30 day delivery aim + up to £0 for loss/ damage and it won't be tracked. Yikes. Also, btw the overall limit for sending package via RM is 30kg..lastly, I do have a paypal account but it's just a personal preference to use my debit card.
One last thing actually, I've recently received my business bank card so I'll be doing my transactions from there and leaving my debit card for my personal things
Good question and I checked & it said that Royal Mail ships to over 230 countries and territories xD but I didn’t come across any countries that they don’t ship to but I’ll double check for you x

Hi Kieran, I was informed a custom label is only required if 1) the item is valued over £270 or 2) the item weighs over 2KG. Those are the criterions for needing a customs label. You can get it from your local post office, they're really small and convenient to stick on your package.

Hey Abbie 🧡 and I’m glad you found it helpful! They usually ask you to fill out a customs form if your package is valued £270 or more. Also they require a customs form if the item weighs more than 2kg! You can pop into your local post office and request to get one and stick it on your package if it meets the requirements 💛 (it’s small and convenient)

Hey there :0) I'll be sending lots of packages to the States from the UK. One think I noticed on Click and Drop is that there isn't a box to fill in for the state it's being sent to. Will they figure it out based on the zip code?
Hey Stephanie, I'm pretty sure the postal clerks at the post office will double check to ensure it goes to the correct address. But the zip-code should give them the info they need for the parcel to go to the right state :)

Hi there and I went back to my intl shipping label that I did and yes I confirm there is still a barcode being produced even if it is intl standard. I can still ask for a receipt but I just don't have the tracked no. hope that answers your question :)

Hey Littleman Rio! Hope you're well and I'm glad you're starting your business soon and sure I can help elaborate. So there's 5 categories: UK, Europe, Zone 1, Zone, 2 and Zone 3. So the first two are obvious, and Zone 1: is mainly covers North America (excluding the USA), South America, Africa, the Middle East, the Far East and South-East Asia. Zone 2 are countries such as: Fiji, New Zealand, etc you can find the list on the Royal Mail website. And Zone 3 is the USA, exclusively.
Lastly yes, you're right! Diff world zones has different prices, and they ascend as you transcend through the zones. Zone 1 being the least expensive to Zone 3 being the most expensive. These zones are just categories to group locations/countries, so we can estimate how much it will cost to ship there and it's dependent on the weight of the package too, the heavier it weighs the more expensive it will be. I hope this breakdown helps you out. I'm gonna do an updated video but I got exams atm so I will upload when I can :)

Hey Janett, I hope you're well. Fortunately, they already have that option for domestic shipping labels. I will be doing an updated video on domestic orders and there's a box you tick, if you don't want your address to be revealed. It can be easily overlooked as it's so small :( Also for intl shipping labels they're changed it recently where you can also opt out of showing your address. I hope that answers your question x

Hey and yes you do it’s called CN22 custom form and you can literally get it from your post office or you can fill it out whilst your buying your shipping label and stick it on your parcel. It’s required if the package weighs over 2KG and/or if the item is worth over £270 x when I did this video my package weighed less so I didn’t have to fill out. But recently I had to so I’ll do an updated video x

With intl shipping I would always recommend going to your local post office or delivery office to ship it off.

Yes I do! My set delivery charges is based off the most expensive zone which is the USA 🇺🇸 that way I’m not dipping into my profits but also take into consideration how heavy your packages weigh! The heavier the more pricer etc
It’s relative to the dimensions of the poly mailer but the small letter option isn’t always viable as it’s so small (paper thin). So I usually always opt for the large letter x

Hey Christian, and don't worry I was very confused in the beginning as well. If you've finished inputting all the necessary information then you can print it out at home if you have a printer. But if you don't have a printer you can go to your local printing shop and print out the shipping label and stick it on your package, I would recommend sticky paper made for labels (amazon sells them), if not then I'm sure you could glue it on. I have never picked the collection from home option so I'm not sure if they will provide the label but it would be wise if you just printed it out yourself just incase they don't provide that service. I hope that clears up your confusion, if you have any more questions I'll try my best to help you :)
Quick question, when you get to the post office, do they check all the parcels to make sure its large letter or small parcel ? xx
They usually weigh the items and they have this letterbox size guide to ensure it fits through x if it doesn’t then you are required to pay more for the postage

Kaniyas Space thank you so much. How would that work for the international orders ?? The item will need to be tracked and signed just because of what I’m selling. It says it will be £10.07 to send to USA. I know I may sound silly but how would they pay it, as it’s around on the website with the price of the product and shipping.

Hey girl and yeah I had that same issue because I didn't opt for international tracked which would of cost me £9.17 as opposed to £3.66 without it being tracked. As far I'm aware if you don't apply a tracking no. then the owner is liable for that, unless you apply a compensation amount in which Royal Mail will step in. It's honestly a risk you must be willing to make, in my case I was sending it off to a friend so I was routinely checking up on her, to make sure she received her order. But I'll continue to do some research and if I find anything interesting I'll be sure to send it your way xD

Hey and I’ve just popped into my local post office to enquire about your question and they said you only require a customs label if you are shipping an item that weighs more than 2KG, so if it’s less than that, then you don’t need to place customs label on there. Hope that answers your question

Hi Manaahil, hope you’re well and welcome to the UK sis, I hope your transition is smooth 💛 and tbh I’ve never dropped it off at the postbox. But looking through the Royal Mail website it allows you to send it through the postbox if it’s international standard and it needs to be small enough to fit through + also add the custom form on the package too. However, if you want the service to be intl tracked you can’t ship it via the postbox because it needs to be electronically scanned at the post office/delivery office x hope that helps and if you need any more clarification, I’ll try my best to help 🙏🏿

It's all relative especially because of covid, but they usually aim to deliver it between 6-7 working days

For example Europe is 3-5 days and world wide delivery aim is 6-7 days and from my experience albeit limited experience, it does arrive without it being tracked. Opting for tracked and sign is more expensive but if that’s an option you can afford then by all means go for it 🖤 there’s more security

Just looked it up and if you did it via large letter (polymailer) then it’s from £5.90 (click and drop) or if you do through a small parcel it’s £8.90 but I think you can get away with a large letter. Btw this quota is for intl standard. For tracked it starts from £14.30

Hey Nia, so you could look at the different zones and the USA is the most expensive shipping being Zone 3, so you could use them as an indicator to how much to charge. My weight on avg. is consistent (for my past orders) and if it was a little bit more then I would just subsidise it x
What if you want the customer to pay?
They can pay through your website (if applicable) if not then you can accept payments through dm’s if you’re just starting out - and let them know the price of shipping so it can be included in the overall transaction

Hi Chris and thank you for your well wishes, really appreciate it :) and I went to my local post office this morning and she said that it's a part of the regulations. So incase the customer wants to return the package, they know where to return it to etc so I'm afraid there's no way of opting out (as far as I am aware). In regards to the second question, I've just checked the RM website and because the item weighs more than 2kg it won't be sent as a "small parcel" but rather a "parcel" which is really expensive; a reference they gave was via ParcelForce worldwide for £71.05 with a 30 day delivery aim + up to £0 for loss/ damage and it won't be tracked. Yikes. Also, btw the overall limit for sending package via RM is 30kg..lastly, I do have a paypal account but it's just a personal preference to use my debit card.
