- The final versions of Dipper and Mabel are MUCH different than how they were in the concept art and unused character designs before Gravity Falls began.

Some of these designs were so weird, but most of them actually looked really cool, it almost makes me feel nostalgic.

Here's an idea: that older-looking Dipper concept art is what Dipper looks like as an older teen. Perhaps we might even see that look in a sequel series(or just one short animation, or a book or something.)

It’s cool to see the unused character designs. I noticed one of the Dipper designs looks like that Army-outfit kid in Summerween who harassed Stan, and early Mabel’s cowgirl boots were eventually (somewhat) put into Pacifica’s design.
I can't believe this fandom is still going strong. Alex must feel so proud of everyone for sticking around this long. Funny enough I got the lost legends book today! I hope we see more of the twins in the future even if it's not animated :)
I still miss this show I’m not in the fandom anymore and I’ve grown out of my hyperfixation for it but it’s still really good and I can’t wait for the Netflix special

Seriously.. I just realized that the show is called “gravity falls” because of the machine in the basement. If you have watched the show which you obviously have when the machine is on it turns off gravity.

Okay wanna know something weird? I've never seen the first Mabel concept art you showed but it looked exactly like that in one of my dreams (it was basically a much scarier version of gravity with a completely different story)

The teeth of the pilot is a little weird-scary because they got thin-lined lines in between their teeth to show there’s multiple teeth like most cartoons do, but instead really thin, so thin you can barely see em’ in a weird way!

Something that I noticed is that Dipper always had the pine tree hat at the star of the show in the pilot. Rather in the official show, he has a different hat at the start and then gets his pine tree one later on.
