Iqbal is a quitessential Indian Poet who transcends the time & space equilibrium.
Like all of us Faiz was also a big admirer of Iqbal. Congratulations Manish Gupta for bringing another gem into focus!!

First of all how can you compare Allama Iqbal and Faiz Ahmed Faiz as they were not contemporaries and there time zone was different. Faiz sahab was Allama Iqbal's admirer as well as junior and was pursuing M.A. when Sir Iqbal left his body. Both belong to Sialkot and Faiz sahab's father was best friend of Allama Iqbal and was with him in London, where both of them were studying Law.
Allama Iqbal was always in praise of little Faiz and written a letter in favour on Faiz sahab so that he can get admission in the famous Government College of Lahore.
Faiz sahab has written two nazms for Allama Iqbal during his college days and one got published in Government College literary magazine "Ravi" and the later one is included in Faiz sahab's first poetry collection "Naqsh e Faryadi".
Faiz sahab's time period of poetry was different. No doubt that after Mirza Ghalib both Allama Iqbal and Faiz Ahmed Faiz are considered as giants of Urdu Poetry. Just for earning popularity people start comparing Iqbal and Faiz.
Allama Iqbal is also considered as National Poet of Pakistan.

अल्लामा साहब और फ़ैज़ साहब की बराबरी से अच्छा हमारे लिए तो ये हुआ कि दोनों मक़बूल शायरों ने अपना काम बड़े अदब से और ज़िम्मेदारी से निभाया । और यही हमारे लिए तब्बसुम की बात है हमे गर्व है तमाम शायरों पर जिनकी वजह से एक और दुनिया पर नज़र पड़ी है हमारी , यूँ ही ज्ञान बांटते रहिए । ज़िन्दगी का एक ही मकसद है जो मिला उसे आगे बढ़ाओ 🤗🤗🤗
