  • The most beautiful place in the Philippines. Char
Balatoc, Pasil, Kalinga- a little secluded gem of a provincial town tucked away in the wildly beautiful mountains of Northern Luzon. Balatoc sits cradled at a high mountain; bounded by a river and the only way to enter the village is through a hanging bridge. The result is a well preserved, secluded piece of paradise.
Upon arriving, you'll be met with crisp outline of emerald; undulating and well-wooded plains, intersected by numerous waterfalls, and diversified by hilly and lush-pine mountains. Even the spaces in between houses are full of trees. With this, the grueling four-hour drive from Tabuk City and a one and a half hour hike from the access road are forgotten once you see the amazing view.
This village is also full of stones, in different shapes and sizes. In fact, some houses are constructed atop big stones. These stones made this place even more beautiful. And what makes it more amazing is the hospitality, respect, and kindness of the people.
How to get there: Via Jeep
The jeep is stationed at a terminal located in front of Balageos Grocery, Dagupan, Tabuk City, Kalinga. There is only one scheduled trip which departs at 8:00 in the morning. The fare is Php150 per passenger and travel time is approximately four hours.
