I don't think holding a meeting for African Americans is racist. Afr. Ams. are connected not only by color, but by a shared experience. It makes sense that they would have meetings to discuss their problems. Not only Afr. Ams do this, but Asians and Latinos as well, just not in such a public forum.

Asians in the US were "voluntary minorities," so even in the face of white racism, they knew it was necessary to trade in "moral power" for the power of self-achievement and earned success. As "involuntary minorities," blacks rely solely on the "moral power of innocence." In a tragic way, a crippled black culture is seen by liberals as a necessary condition for black moral power and the continuation of welfare and entitlement. I hope blacks can summon the will to evolve from this stance.

My grandfather came to this country from russia in the 1930's and you know what? The government made him work in the Coal mines of Pennslyvania for 2 years without pay, because he was russian and russia was communist, (sort of like a slave) just so he could acquire a residency. And this was in the 1930's, but you don't hear me bitching about that. I am glad he did it, because now I am an american enjoying some of the rights that he didn't always have.

I don't think that Caucasian people holding a meeting to discuss their problems would be racist. We all know that there are problems that are unique to the Caucasian community. As long as the purpose of such a meeting would be to genuinely improve the performance of Causcasian people as citizens in the global community, in the absence of any type of influence from white supremacists, I think it would be acceptable.

thats not the point, I didn't say that for symptathy. The point is, if you go back far enough, everyone's ancestors in some way shape or form were mistreated. If you are truely a descendant of a slave then you should be happy they endured so that you can live in this country because I am happy my grandfather endured. And if you aren't happy with this country then you are free to leave.

@staticxx7 well said ...No excuse for being racist no matter which color...
But somehow since there is no neutral judge action will cause reaction according to Newton's Second Law of Mechanics which pretty much apply to humans too..
People need to forgive and respect each other for their own peace..

Actually they did play a great part in building this nation. Also people of color worked in and built the factories that you speak of. Do your homework preferably English literature then the history of African Americans in the U.S.

  • @Alexn1067
    @Alexn1067 16 ปีที่แล้ว

you say you have no shortcomings, perhaps not in material possessions but somewhere along the line you feel unfullfilled.
If you don't want to say why you are pissed, then don't even bother to make the effort to say you are pissed.
Genocide? please there is a difference between mistreatment and murder. Blacks have had equal rights for 40 yrs now and healing process has just about concluded. Now its time to move on. No more excuses, no more hard feelings, unity or death.

  • @properbeatz
    @properbeatz 15 ปีที่แล้ว

And I can guarantee that you could not back up your claim.
I am a white guy who has witnessed racism running rampant in my city of New Orleans.
The oppression of blacks in todays society has nothing to do with the word nigger.
White people are smarter than that.
We are victims just as they are, but in a different way.
Most people do not realize how racist they actually are.
Whites have been bred into racism just as blacks have been bred into ignorance.
    Stop your unsubstantiated insults.

Thats a possible assumption when trying to understand why races of people feel the same however being black allows one to experience things from a black perspective. Could it be possible that similar experiences has shaped our perspectives as a hole or atleast play a role in the general black perspective?
Also I have noticed that most blacks that we consider uncle toms have different experiences. IE blacks that didnt grow up around their own race have trouble understanding their own race.

I think he makes a lot of sense, but at the same time it's not all really true. Black people in power are not just mannequins even if that's how it's seemed. Little by little, they have increasing influence in the direction of the country. I think it's okay to play within this system and it does work over time.

    Slavery was ended in 1865.
1964, blacks began to see more rights.
    It is a current problem.
    Ha.
I like that line "learn history."
    If only you knew.
If there is a demand, there will be a supply.
Whites wanted slaves, blacks sold slaves.
    The only difference:
whites built their entire country (USA) on a slave economy.
    We benefited,
    so should blacks.
    Fairly simple?
    Understand?
Give me some examples and quotes from Farrakhan saying these things.
