Absolutely the BEST off-road video of the Pan America to date! Great job, guys! Glad to see people finally pushing these bikes and seeing what they can handle!
Met Mick a couple of times now. What an awesome man. Brilliant. You are right. He is inspiring.. Thanks Mick. And he did really good with my brother.. 👍👍👍👍 😃 😊
@@Motomarsh you really can yes. I’ve been to Mick Extance Experience day Twice. And I stayed in the village for three days just last week. Mick stopped and spoke to me on the road. But yes. He’s such a fantastic guy. And his passion and skills sharing it with other people. Is what it is all about. I hope Mick’s dream does come true. Which is to put these skills in to the CBT… He is right in the idea for the skills that would be taken onboard for road riding. He is a legend. But mate so are you. Wicked video mate, really shows what the Pan Am can do. I have been lucky enough to work with mick at ABR festival and step in for him at the Adventure Centre......what these bikes can do is amazing. Harley realy did get it right for once.
@@Motomarsh indeed they are mate. Love mine to bits. Even though I ride it offroad, I dont have wires spokes on it so have to be abit careful. But still goes wherever I point it. Even on standard tyres.
Ok this is the best video I've ever seen on the Pan-America Harley. What you just put the bike through most wouldn't even try it. And up hill. I'm impressed.
Just watching the video got my adrenaline going! Mick Extance and yourself are obviously accomplished riders. Think I need to book a few sessions with Mick Extance at this HD Adventure Centre in Wales to improve my off-road skills, seems like a lot of fun 👍. Note: HD supplies the bikes here so you do not have to worry about riding/dropping your own bike.
I saw my first pan america in real life today at my mates place. Those things are fucking huge!!!! Man I enjoyed watching you two taking on those trails like it ain't no thing. Really inspiring.
Incredible video! My 2023 made it 30 days and 733 miles (never off road). It's now in the shop for 10 days as of 10/4. This is the reason I bought the bike, unfortunately I got a faulty one. Praying the correction whenever it happens will bring me this joy.
Looked like you really enjoyed that mate. Big buggers when they go down aren't they! I think a big part of why I got rid of the Africa twin was the DCT. The DCT was incredible but like you said, the clutch is so important to what we do off road. The traction control looks like they've got that spot on. 👊
Best off road ride on any bike today. I'm actually looking to buy an adventure bike. I'm checking them all out. Looks like after this video I'll have to take a closer look at the Harley Thank you.
I think there is so many good bikes on the market at the moment it is hard to choose but Harley-Davidson have really done wonders with this thing for their first try
So I took this Pan Am out on a easy road test ride last week. You're Vid guys was an amazing unbelievable bit of footage as to what this bike can do! I've linked You're vid to direct people thinking how does this bike handle off road? U guys certainly answer that question 😆 Awesome vid 👌
Mate! More of this if you can! That crash looked crazy! Could see it literally rip you off the back of the bike! Looks such a laugh though mate and that was SOME riding on bikes that big, never thought I’d want a Harley 😬 perfect advert for it though 👍
Awesome video mate. I've got a Honda Africa Twin and love it. I've seen the Harley adventure bikes and always thought they might be a bit of a soft core adventure bike, but you guys definitely changed my idea. Wicked Channel Mate 🍻🍻
I have an AT as well and also didn't think really highly of the HD but seeing this does change my mind a bit. I do love my AT though. I had a Multistrada but just didn't handle off road like my buddies AT, so yeah, I traded up.
Best Pan-America vid I've seen so far... by far... by a long-shot (Since the "get-go", if you know what I'm saying...) Appreciate it, for the thought, consideration, insight, and motivation. Most of these "other" Pan-America "reviews"' have been or become about as bland and appealing as getting served a bowl of lard for breakfast.... Think you captured entirely the "hell yeah" that I think I believe Harley-Davidson was wanting for and a whole lot of folks were hoping for. Shoot... Think Harley-Davidson could have advanced their game, their play or their stance or position in the current market, if they would have hired you or sponsored you, in some way or another, to promote and showcase their product, from the "get-go"... Dog-gone... Just feel like was the vid have been wanting to see or have been searching for, for a couple years now... Thanks. Appreciate it
I bought Pan America after owning a 2018 GS. I had few experiences with a GS offroad and they were not good ones. So when buying Pan America, I had no intent on ofrroading, but to use bike as a tourer and daily commuter. One day my friends called me for a small trail ride, and i agreed to try. And boy oh boy, my world was shaken on how good this bike on trail is. Even with my low skill I managed to go everywhere my friends with midweight bikes went. In the end all company was pleasantly surprised on how this bike handled. So, for me, this is something I was not anticipating when buying it.
I winced in pain myself when you got jousted off by that stick. That had to hurt like hell. Great ride though. That Pan America is impressive for a big bike.
Generally speaking, if you have some dirt bike experience, riding a big bike like that off-road isn’t too hard….what IS HARD is the 6th time you have to pick it up out on the Trails and still have the energy to get back out of the Trail LOL Great video 👍🏻
Of all the ADV channels I am subed to, you are the only one that I have seen take the Pan Am to the next level. What an awesome ride. Now get it out in WERNDDU next.😂 OHHHHH!!! That was the loosing end of a jousting match bud. That had to hurt.
You did an excellent job showcasing the bike. Rather than nitpickin' gripes that many bikes have. You literally got on the damn thing and rode the fucker. You deserve some credit from HD, this video seals the deal with me. I'll admit to say that i will pave this bike much more than dirt but, it will see the dirt nonetheless. Thanks homie
@@Motomarsh you see a lot of bogus 'reviews' on here, but this one just seemed so genuine, you kept mentioning lightness and the way that tree had you off only went to prove it, if the bike felt heavy, you'd have probably stayed on... Looks like an incredible bike to be fair, I'd love to get your opinion on a bit of road riding if you get the chance.
The suspension is super clever all electronic see you can set it to be super soft or hard depending on what your preferences. The bike also lowers itself when you stop and raises once you pull off again
Your off road riding is far beyond my ability - and I have an aversion to scratching up a $25K motorcycle - but good to know the Pan Am is capable of handling enduro tracks. For me its road touring, twistee mountain roads, and some fire roads...
That's true but you can't go for a ride out on the lanes then do some off road and then carry on the cruise. It's so impressive how good at the off-road mode is on this. My enduro bikes are around 10k and we literally throw them down mountains. It's painful but I have to remind myself it's what I bought it for 🙌
I would say this is 80% designed for road use, say riding to Europe and back so the fact it can do the off-road so we'll is amazing. I'm sure when making the bike they thought green lanes would be the most off-road it would go so I was very surprised when I pushed it and it delivered.
