You guys got very good taste lol John Squire is top class, loved him since a was about 8 years old. Thought he looked cool as f*ck playing his painted guitars, and the number one reason a picked up the guitar myself.
Yeah mate, you've got some skills, I'm a massive fan of the stone roses and I can tell you that your not letting them down/or the fans your doing them great respect and justice for the music 👏 💕🇬🇧
Amazing. It would take me 10 years to do this. Watching your vids, I'm beginning to think Squire is an absolute top-tier genius. His parts are complex and nuanced and all over the place (essentially solos behind the singer) - and yet also invisible in the sense that they work so well for the song that you just hear the song as a whole and don't notice how intricate the guitar parts are unless you listen. I can't think of any other guitarist and band that does it quite like this. What do you think?
Absolutely agree with what you say here he manages to melodically solo the entire time on this song and it only adds to the groove of it it's rhythmic, melodic and intricate. Can only think of Hendrix and Marr that are similar. Absolutely genius guitar player and part writer. He's hardly ever happy to just strum along for more than a few bars for his main parts. Glad you're enjoying the vids more in the pipeline.
This sounds absolutely amazing!! Tbh this isn't my favourite Roses tune, but I really love your playing John. GREAT JOB 👌👌👌 which effect do you use apart from wah-wah?
Thanks Gabi, I love this tune its Squire getting more and more technical as he progresses from early Roses to later. Chorus all the way through and an Electric Mistress for the starting chord
Would be great if you could do What The World is Waiting for, I have never seen a proper cover of that song. As far as I am aware it's a song they never performed live either for some reason.
@@jcalver80 And it was originally 9.5? I thought that the area where it attaches to the body is a set design which means you can't really change them. Was it easy to change?
Thanks again! I got rid of this guitar but I do love the colour, might get another but always prefer Les Pauls. I made the Sunburst Strat in my latest vid might do another in this colour.
The best one guitar arrangement of this tune by a country mile John. Even better than Squires own in 90!
Thanks Aaron mate that's really inspiring!
First class. I love the squire stuff where he pretty much solos through an entire song.
Thanks! Me too 😁
same, squire is the absolute soul of the stone roses

John Squire is one hell of an underatted guitarist
John this is just fantastic…probably one of the most intricate and funky guitar work Squire put to record.
Thank you so much, so glad it's appreciated.
Your efforts for producing a correct tab are greatly appreciated. Also that stratocaster is gorgeous
John squire is the best guitarist of any Rock band to me honestly
I'm with you
Have to say it, this is on fire.
Thanks took me a while to work out haha

I love your vids. It boggles my limited guitar playing mind seeing where John goes with the riffs 🧐🤔🤯
Thanks means a lot!! Yeah he's such a great guitar player. There's lots of Hendrix stuff in One Love believe it or not.
@@jcalver80 Huge Led Zepp inspiration also plus blues influence in Second Coming. Fancy some Charlatans covers?

@@jcalver80 - I got Stuart Palmer to build me a copy of John's white Jaguar back in 2014.
@@neilaspin008 Oh wow! Do you have any videos of it? I'm getting one similar built but not by Palmer. Very very cool!

Definitely on the list 👌🏼
Would love to see what set up you use to get the sound.
Thanks Brian. Need to do some vids soon will try and explain in one
Fantastic mate, can I make a request for some songs from unfinished monkey business? Ideally 'what happened to ya' 👍
Thanks man. Oh tune!! That's a good shout... Will deffo put that on the list 👌🏼
Absolute quality as always mate! Nice lookin strat as well - but what's that little feature on the volume pot?
Haha good spotting mate it's to turn on the neck pickup in the 1st and second selector positions
@@jcalver80 ah cool!
Better than the original!
Really? Thanks!!
Damn.
What gear did you use for this?
I love you!
Please make a video for tell me :)
Thanks Jimmy 😃 so much to do. Will put it on the list
If you don't mind me asking, why'd you change the neck on your guitar?
I wanted a 7.25 inch radius neck 😊
@@jcalver80 And it was originally 9.5? I thought that the area where it attaches to the body is a set design which means you can't really change them. Was it easy to change?
Yes 9.5 Fenders are designed for you to be able to swap necks out.easily. It popped in really easily yes. Fatter neck too which I prefer
Bobby squires has big shoes fill rainbow
Good tone mate for me, Strats often sound a bit toy - that pingy, oinky sound - but this sounds bitchen cool coloured gtr too
Thanks again! I got rid of this guitar but I do love the colour, might get another but always prefer Les Pauls. I made the Sunburst Strat in my latest vid might do another in this colour.
@@jcalver80 Teles and Gibbos all the way
I could do that if I wanted to. I just choose not to.
