I’m a graphic designer and I LIVE in InDesign. To fix the pixelated issue, you might just need to right click, then go to display quality, and switch to high quality. Guessing that’s the issue! (Which wouldn’t be an issue once going to print.. indesign just does that so your file will load faster) love your work! Edit: I see someone else already commented this, but leaving my comment to help algorithm 😄
To fix the pixelated appearance of your InDesign images go to InDesign -> Preferences -> Display Performance and set your settings to a higher quality. Usually, InDesign is pre-set up with lower quality to save space and work faster :)
Indesign reduces the quality of the image previews to load faster, there is a way to turn it off, i don’t remember off the top of my head, but it should be full resolution when you export it :)
Your loose work and sense of color is just beyond amazing, Em!! Absolutely love how your book turned out!! I hope you will get a print version of that some time for yourself!

I was thinking maybe I could use your art for my artist study (if thats okay obvs), because I wanted to do "Imagination vs Reality" and I thought your art style would be really cool for the imagination side. 😅♥️
The messy studio was so relatable 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I never end up tidying (unless I clearly didn’t feel like painting for a few days) because I tell myself that it’s gonna be a mess all over again anyways 🤣
i dont know if you ended up finding the answer, but the pixelation helps to keep indesign running smoother, in actuality the quality of the image is still high quality, but the thumbnail display on indesign is of a lesser quality to help the program run better!

I have a couple of questions - what kind of paper do you use, both the cut paper and support? Also, what size scissors did you use? I’m becoming an art teacher and would love to incorporate something like this into my lessons 😊
I use paper from seawhite of brighton sketchbooks, and the paper I collage with is usually just printer paper which has been painted with acrylics. The scissors I use are just a mix of what ever from around the house, my favourite is are my crayola scissors, which Im pretty sure are meant for kids! Oh and I also use some small nail scissors for the super detailed stuff.

You could print the book with Mixam, they have a lot of print options, aren't too expensive and make pretty good quality stuff ^^
