Lovely vans but just bit delicate. Mines a 19 plate from new purchase that has needed new injectors, clutch, driveshafts, wheel bearings, timing belt, and coolant pipes. Never thrash it and has always been looked after.
Yeah it’s strange how some are great and some are not. My black van never misses a beat. I’ve owned it from 4K miles and other than normal wear and tear it’s perfect. The white one though 🤦🏼♂️ it breaks down for fun! It’s going into limp mode on the motorway all the time now. So I’ll be back with another video and a lighter wallet 🤣
Ford pulled all timing belt parts in April and that left mine off the road until I changed the timing belt on the drive, but I would still get another as they are the most comfortable be far! The only other thing I may consider would be a Vito as they are sooooo reliable!
Drove ford vans / transits for years these modern ones are absolutely great to drive but just so unreliable and the dpf issues are ridiculous, my last job we had transit's about 17 plates constantly breaking and smoking like a chimney , not on really especially for expensive they are these days id take a 12 plate anyday with low mileage over newer
Definitely agree. This van is having all the injectors replaced at the moment as it decided to keep going into limp mode! 😡 cost a fortune to keep running sometimes.
@@Gibboplay it's shocking mate half the work that needs doing on these 4'5 or 6 year old vans is ridiculous, they shouldn't even be an issue for yearsss, I think they just reflect our modern throw away society now tbh , things are just built to last the warranty or set mileage as you know , I giggle at the price of new vehicle's and how unreliable most are , it is comical they aren't worth a carrot
Thanks. The wheels are 20 inch www.ebay.co.uk/itm/186142488883?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=cL9LvJsuSxS&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=9_VjO7WfRwq&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
Hi yes it’s doing roughly 2 mpg more with the map. Obviously it depends how it’s driven but as an average on the dash after 3 weeks it’s definitely using less fuel.
Cheers mate … put it in my black book for when I get my Transit. Still searching for a good en.
Have one of these vans coming and I didn't know you can't drive them with the turbo gone so I've got some good education there. Thanks
Bought the exact same van from auctions today:)

Belt driven customs are the worst. I got a chain driven one, which is a reliable machine

Who’s ya mapping guy mate ?
He’s a friends brother. Torque titans is his business. Comes out to you and puts a map on. Well worth it.
Hi, Have you noticed any difference in the MPG with the remap?
