- Hey folks! In today’s video we’re doing another modded Balatro run. This time, we’re trying out the morefluff mod which includes several unique jokers, new decks, and a new card type in color cards which accumulate value to make their use more effective. During this run, I hit a ridiculous combo that allowed me to continuously print negative jokers to accumulate more jokers than I could manage resulting in a truly chaotic build. Enjoy the video!
Balatro is a poker roguelike deck building game centered around creating powerful synergies and winning with big hands. In it, you can combine valid poker hands with unique Jokers in order to create varied synergies and builds. Earn enough chips to beat blinds, including challenging boss blinds, to make it to the next ante and progress your run!

Roffle stumbles into a casino, he’s looking to play a game of poker. He’s carrying a 6 inch wide deck of cards in both hands. At the table he sets the deck down nice and neatly, and asks the dealer to deal him 27 cards. Without hesitation he plays one 2. The spectators and the dealer look at him in confusion. Roffle draws the first card off the top of his deck. “this is my first Jimbo, plus 4 mult…”
Um akshualy the deck would be 46in (115cm) thick

Fun fact: As far as i can tell, the black swatches seem to be capable of making the same joker negative more than once. Throughout the run, they repeatedly gave you more joker slots than you had jokers capable of becoming negative.
i noticed that too, an hour in i was like "12 open joker slot?!?! how even"

also philosophical jokers give +1 joker slot
I've also played with this mod, and had the black color card effect a polychrome giving it an invisible negative tag.
@@Corvustyx he started getting more negatives than should've been possible well before he got showman for multiple philosophical jokers.
I think it’s cause of the philosopher joker, the pipe looking one, it gives a joker slot so when it’s negative it’s +2 and that just snowballed and then the game stopped caring and just giving slots equal to what black provides
1:21 90% of Balatro players quit skipping blinds before hitting it big.
Me after resetting 100 runs because I didn't beat small blind in a single hand (99 of the runs I skipped were insta-wins and the one I play through sucks)

Either the dev or a mod needs to make it so you can click on the numbers for Jokers and Consumables to pull up something like the Deck menu to sort and interact with them. It's not often that things get to this unmanageable state, but it would be a good feature.
Also additional filters for the Deck to be able to say see how many enhanced cards you have, or seals, etc
Like a Rolodex view of your jokers that you can scroll through
An optimized version of this would be great for a charity stream idea
I noticed something funky going on. Whenever you used the black card it was giving you the number of additional joker slots as it said despite you not possibly having, for example, 16 non negative jokers. I think some jokers may have had multiple instances of megative on them as a glitch

I think it’s funny that he gets that joker that shuffled his jokers pretty early on then for hours just out of habit he still moved every joker he bought to the middle of the stack.

it really caught me off guard. I guess the overlap of Music-Theory-History-And-Software nerds and Balatro players might be significant.

It has to be super rare for a game to crash in such a way that it doesn't even generate a real crash report, just displays the failing code on screen as if to say "fuck this"
That's just how Balatro crashes, I've seen other games do this too
The immolate was immediately used on the game itself
It looks like one of the modded jokers tried to modify the played 6 but it had been deleted by the sixth sense
That was a real crash report, it has exactly why it crashed (it tried to generate an aura effect without a proper object reference). That's basically exactly what devs see when games have an automatic crash report that gets sent.
Simplified joker was the villain of this run, I wonder how much shorter the run would have been if simplified joker just did not exist
Lmao, while I did fall asleep once watching this, my headphones died seconds after and paused you to ensure I didn't miss anything.
You keep gaining more slots, I think the card is making cards double negative hahah
my only theory is its the philosophy joker, since its +1 slots (so it would normally take one while giving one but when negative it gives two basically)
I don't know when exactly, but i noticed that it hit the negative huge joker again at some point, so yeah, it adds the negative to the negatives
We see at 2:41:51 that the Perkeo has 2 negatives on it, so yes
@@masterofdoots5965no, the first negative is describing the effect in the description (-1 consumable slot), the second negative is the -1 joker slot

The worst thing about this many jokers is that cavendish could’ve gone extinct and we would never know

Journal: I'm on day 2 of the climb--ascending to the end of the Roffle video. I still haven't reached the midpoint, but I know I will find it. I've left a trail of Jimbos to find my way back, but he stopped buying them 20 minutes ago. They told me to summit would be madness, but he already has two Madness jokers, so there's no turning back now.

I play the game a lot on steam deck, so i learned that it is a tad easier to move around cramped cards when playing on controller if you want to be an absolute tryhard.

Idk if this will ever be pertinent again, but if you want to find a specific (scoring) joker you can identify them during the scoring phase instead of trying to find it blindly. Simplified joker (for example) would be the one mildly shaking during the +4 animation. Just grab it then and move it to one side so you can sell it after the round. It'd still be a pain in the ass but I know it works for under 200 jokers at least.

I must say, it is very rare for me to stop gamming to watch someone play something.
And the fact it's Balatro makes it all the more funny to me.

Roffle somehow managed this run better than the game ever could
I sat through all of this, worth it in the end.
There should be a setting or mod where once you reach the point where the score for the hand is "on fire" then it goes to like x20 speed until all the points are calculated.
I feel that mods like these, that add a load more jokers & make it so you can get a tonne like this, should have a screen where you can look at all of your jokers, a bit like the joker collection screen, in a similar way to how clocking on the deck lets you see all of your cards.
That way, when you end up with too many jokers to see what's what you can see what you want to sell. keep, how jokers are scaling, etc.
As few times as it might happen that you end up with 50+ jokers, it sure would be helpful to expand the joker slots so you can move them around as you need.

I understand why not - Games where its a problem are few and far between - but it would be nice if there was some sort of system in place for when you have so many jokers and/or consumables that accurately moving or selecting them becomes genuinely difficult. My first thought is a "list" view button, that would list every joker in a row and let you edit them from there; itd be a giant list with 150 jokers, but still easier to use than the mess at the top of the screen.

around 1:03:30 the ceremonial dagger sound effect goes off. But that is probably the toilet-based joker (brainrot) that sacrifices the leftmost card to add chips to itself. can confirm it uses the same sound effect.
