Honestly, as a former logger, this was painful to watch. Why? Because one of those larger logs would have been plenty for a single drag. Trying to overload the drag doesn't just put the equipment and operator at risk, especially on that steep of ground and without fluid in the tires, it takes longer. I couldn't help thinking he could have made two or three drags in the same time he was spending just trying to winch that one overloaded drag into position. And then there's the downtime repairing unnecessary damage to the machine - and the cost.
I was thinking the exact same thing I could have gone to the deck with the first 2 unhooked and came back for the other in the time he spent frigging around with that one. Either that or they need a bigger machine if they wanna pull that much
Pulling lateral is never a clever move - reduce the payload and move forward to be in front of the drag and create a better pull angle. Obviously in training?
Looks to me like your cutters don't know how to put a tree on the ground. They need to learn how to put the butt facing the skid trail. Your are spending so much time pulling them in its just wasting time.

At the end, I thought the cameraman was going to drag the machine operator out of the cab and fire his ass. Must be his nephew driving or something.
Random Guy He sure ain't a skidder operator. If he knew what he was doing he would have already been back for another skid!
