Potosi refers to the richest silver mine in history in the old viceroyalty of Peru (now Bolivia) which was the richest source of the Spanish silver in the 1500s
I'm so excited to play this! Nations is probably my favourite game at the moment :D Such a shame that the new nations are back-to-back. I guess I will need to make some colour copies to use those against one another :(
I know so many people love TTA, but for me, I don't like it much. It lasts 6-7 hours at 4 players which is too long for me and also, war/armies is super expensive and prevents me from building other things and yet I feel like, I can't not do armies because if I get too low, I'll get attacked. And yet, when other people not do war, somehow they get pacts or Ghandi and it doesn't effect them, and I can never get those. Then I get super frustrated. Also, the book keeping is so fiddly and I feel like I've missed something or played something incorrectly. It gives me a headache. And yet, I love the fact that you're going through the ages and getting all these leaders and buildings, technologies and monuments, which brings me to this review. Do you think I would enjoy Nations more?
Not a big deal for most, but still annoys me when blatant misspellings occur. For instance, The Voyages of Marco Polo has Beijing spelled incorrectly as "Bejing". Not sure how those things slip through the cracks.
"Poland over here, they are particularly good at war." *cough* Is there some way to separate out the expansion cards from the base cards? I remember you being irked by this in the first Suburbia expansion. Anyway, this expansion looks awesome! Glad to have it pre-ordered.
+Kenny Barrese yes, they've all got a little icon on them (fortunately, or else i wouldn't have been able to pull them all out of the decks to film this!) :)
+TyphoidBryan Would you say the same for Poland/Ethiopia as well? Coincidences can be coincidences, or game design decisions need not be politically motivated.

It was a literal mountain of silver. Funded Spain for 300 years.
This looks even better than I thought it would. So excited to get this!

The base game is enough for me, tons of game play.
Thanks for your awesome review of this awesome expansion of an awesome game! 👍
hi! What do you think for two players. Nations dynasties or Through the ages:a new story civilization? :) thx
for us, nations, easily :)

Can you mix and match the old nations with new nations player boards?
Yes you can.

Sweet, thanks
Awesome, ty
just wish i could find this for a decent price
Are you missing two nations? There are supposed to be 12 in the box but you only counted 10...
+atonaltensor oops i must have left the other one in the box!
so lame that they went the cheapo route and made it so you cant play so many nations against each other. this went from an instant buy to a pass
America and Arabs are flipsides of the same player card. Too 'controversial' to have them being played in the same game?
