Do you think they wouid fit in a Louis Vuitton GM agenda binder? Love your review and video. Maybe with version 2 they will make better, more fashionable agenda type binders.
@@coquettenatalie If it's an A5 it will probably stick out a bit. A5 is 5.8 x 8.3 and LifePlanner paper size I believe is 7x9. I think you're right; the more people request it, the more likely they'll eventually offer it.
Love your review. Honest.. I have watched many reviews on the Binders and some people can get nasty about it, but it's still so new to people. I've always been a EC fan and was thinking of doing the binder because i get tired and annoyed when having to uncoil and recoil planners. I know I'm late on commenting but you did a very good job.
First time watching one of your videos. You are the first reviewer of the binder to catch that the rings are made to coincide with the coil holes from a Life Planner. Nice job. Nice video.
That's so interesting. When I saw the sneak peek the first place my mind went was whether or not the rings would match the regular EC holes. Makes it much easier to transition to the binder.
Thank you for this video Meka. You've done a great job getting into the binder, testing things out, showing us the different content and the A5 comparison.
I love you tested it with the A5 planner. Definitely a way now to use the EC style pages with other Binders. The binder provided seems to be to be good for someone who doesn’t take their planners on the go or as a beautiful storage binder for pages not used.
New subscriber here. I have been dying to see this ring bound planner! Thank you for sharing! I think that’s the way I would go because you’re able to do more customization with the ring bound than you can with the coils. I’m really liking it.
I’m so happy I found you, this is the first video Ive watched of yours. I personally love the binder because I normally carry my folio with me in my purse and the accessories or awesome
So I just placed an insanely expensive order for the binder, pen pouch, stick on pen tab and two large corner tabs. I am admittedly sold on the kaleidoscope pattern colorful. I’ve had coiled before but here’s why I’m going for this set up this year.... I love the idea of taking the papers out to plan each week, I feel like with a binder I can easily toss in bills etc in the corner flaps to attend to, and I can easily remove old papers. I WILL be shoving this in my work bag and yes it will likely get hammered but I like the idea of not having coils catching on everything in my bag, so essentially this seems more streamline for me. Yes the whole punch thing is a pain but I usually use sticky post-it’s or use washi tape weekly to just add lists as needed. All that being said I just dropped $100 on all this but I love their paper, I love the attention to detail and happy Mother’s Day to me!!
It sounds like this is going to work out great for you! As far as it being expensive, I think when you know that something is going to work out really well for you, it may justify the cost.
So happy I found your video! You are the first person I've seen to review it. You have a lot of really great ideas. I'm thinking the binder is going to be way too big for me. Back to the coil.
Really hoping they do a notebook binder - I freaking love the Mohawk paper but I would much prefer a binder situation for school rather than the notebooks.
Thanks for explanation about ring placement. Crazy placement makes more sense. But the dashboards aren’t much use to me since the binder is more a storage type than a carry type. So still not sure quite sure what I think.
How have I only just found you?! Loved your video and while I’m pretty sure I’ll still be getting the coiled neutral planner, you very nearly had me converted to the binder! 😂 Fantastic review, thanks for sharing! Xx
Val Far I hated that when I did it ruined my folder over time so I always put them on my covers instead because it will still remove and stick onto other covers with no problems
Totally with you on the non-committal planner thing. I'm coming around to the new binder, but portability sorta stumps me. I converted my current ECLP to a discbound, and I frankenplan with pieces of HP planners and inserts. Now, I can just create what I want with an EC notebook and 2 planners. I'm curious how it fits in an A5 though. Can you show us - here or on IG?
Unfortunately I won't be able to get ahold of my supplies until next week, but I know there's overhang. It's not a perfect fit, but ppl do it for the functionality.
Oh my goodness. This may be the first year I try an EC. Love the binder. But not sure I like that they don’t have a 1/2 hour increment on the hourly layout.
I agree with you. I like my neutrals to be neutral. Black, Grey, white.... If I want some color I would add it. EC- please remove the color from the neutral. Could you tell me of a good Etsy shop that offers stickers in black, white and grey.
In the publishing world, that cover is referred to as soft touch matte. I love it, but it does tend to get dirty easily. I agree that corner protectors would have been awesome.
Thank you for this review! Very detailed and I was wondering if it would fit in a different planner so thank you for answering my questions! New subscriber 😊
I believe LifePlanner pages are 7×9 inches. Since these are standard LifePlanner pages, Google image search "Erin Condren life planner page size" and you'll find images where ppl have marked the measurements.
Would this be good to manage two schedules? Ie: night shift and online school as well as Doctor appointments for a special needs? Like I mean so many doctors that there have been days that I overbooked almost.. Help? Trying to manage two adults and a child (household) with school for two! Thanks
You know im about that A5 life....but the ring positions...WHY? so that means no hole punch. means a new hole punch. its unique but if you like to free style and add to your planner then this is a speed bump. not a stop sign tho. i wonder what the mesasurements. the cover is cute.
I actually really like that it's not meant for A5. There are already so many A5 options. This gives the benefit of more writing space, plus the ability to swap out pages. I figure it's easy enough to use a single-hole punch.
Ty for the video. I am not thrilled with this binder at all. Simply because of the ring configuration and the cover is too rigid for me. It’s not something that I would be carrying with me.
I am curious to know if the planny pack is big enough to fit around the front hard cover of the binder system? Thank you for your review and honest suggestions!
Loved this review! Thank you. Random but do you know if the rings would line up with a regular 3 ring binder at all? I would love to use the inserts in my own binder. Thank you!
Thank you! Nice review. I’m assuming they’ll sell extra notes pages and extra sections or it seems a binder would be pointless. It’s pretty. I definitely prefer coil/o-ring over binder or hardbound.
Great review! I've been wanting to get my hands on an erin condren planner for a while now. Just want to know how the paper size of the binder compares to the coil? Is it a bit bigger or the same with just the binder itself that's bigger? I tend to go for the bigger ones for more writing space lol. Also the website specs said the binder covers would be "book cloth-wrapped". Does anyone know if it's similar to the material used for some hardcover books? Thanks in advance to anyone who has anwers!!
I would have preferred the ring binder to be more like a Kiki k/Filofax as it looks too much like a folder the way it is now and not a cute planner :). I’m going to wait and see what other inserts/accessories they come out for it first and then decide which way I’m going to go.
The layout reminds me of those DIY printable inserts that try to be a little different from the old EC layout, lol, I don't like it. Just not worth the price tag, it looks cheap.
I super don't love this binder. I will probably sell mine. Its giant, there isn't a page protector insert so I'm sure the first and last pages will tear unless you take the time to align the pages and turn them towards the center as you close it. The cover seems cheap and mine doesn't lie flat.
A D-Ring configuration would have been better but they'd have had to make it even bigger. I'm sure you can find someone who would like to buy it from you, hopefully at cost.
Did u really say there was outrage about rounded corners??? Yet we ignore our own vets and homeless...i wonder about our priorities as a nation when decor becomes so important...sorry, but All the hoopla over a piece of paper that is not a masterpiece by ANY stretch of imagination baffles me.
If you've never put these in an A5, please watch a video first! They are not a perfect fit for any A5 binder since they're larger than A5 inserts.

Meka Allen Yes I think I’ll get the normal coiled one again next week. Will wait for the later versions....
Will this fit into one of the folios?
@@nanetteo1081 I don't think so.

I think I actually like how the rounded corners look. The binder is a nice idea.
Oddly enough the rounded corners are starting to grow on me.
Oh man, I would've been so excited if they used nine rings and basically brought back the deskfax! I wonder if the holes would line up...
Beautiful planner

Makes total sense!
You're amazing, thanks for using a kit to show us how that's look!! Hi from Puerto Rico

Savannah Carlon Yeah, that might be nice.
I agree. Maybe they'll sell a lined paper pack for the binder.
Thanks for explanation about ring placement. Crazy placement makes more sense. But the dashboards aren’t much use to me since the binder is more a storage type than a carry type. So still not sure quite sure what I think.
It's good for long term storage, but I can see it being useful as a desktop planner, too.
But yeah, not too portable. Totally understandable for that to be a dealbreaker for a lot of folks.
How have I only just found you?! Loved your video and while I’m pretty sure I’ll still be getting the coiled neutral planner, you very nearly had me converted to the binder! 😂 Fantastic review, thanks for sharing! Xx
Hahaha! I'm glad you stayed strong. You know best what works for you. It definitely has both pros and cons to consider.
My issue is I would have no choice about papers because of the placement and number of of rings. I hate not having options!!!
BD Walters why not just use a single hole punch? I’m sure she will come out with a punch for it though
BD Walters all you need is a single hole punch and cut the paper to the exact dimensions of the Erin Condren paper
:-) Friendly tip: Place the pen holder on the folder so it's always there and not on one cover set. Nice review, btw!
Good idea!
Val Far I hated that when I did it ruined my folder over time so I always put them on my covers instead because it will still remove and stick onto other covers with no problems
Thank you - have been trying to get a look at this binder everywhere!
Thank you Meka! I like it all!
I agree with you, neutral is no colour. Black, charcoal, grey and maybe tan, but definitely no colour, especially pastels.

They would have left the inserts unpunched, so that the customers would have the choice to rings.
Maybe they'll do that some point. Ya never know. I think for now they are testing the waters for ring bound and inserts in general.
does anyone know where i could find long sticky notes like the one of the inside of the binder?
Try searching "sticky notepad" on the Erin Condren site.

I'm sorry I didn't mention it, but they just launched officially today. So they're live on the site now.
