Man I got them for the first time this year love the nostalgia of these shoes like seeing stars at the time wear them even the candy cane but I do feel as someone else said they don’t put so much soul into the sneakers these days
I had the og. It holds a lot of sentiment to me. It was my second Air Jordan shoe - but first to purchase with my own money that I worked hard for as a 16 year old. It wasnt until February 1999 that I could afford em. Black toe never went on sale! But the white/red did which I copped for $99 in April '99. I copped this new 2024 retro. It looks goods. But feels soulless. The leather is too stiff and too tumbled for my liking. Still just happy to have it back in my life.
@BucketNakedz thats cool man. Thanks for sharing your story with the AJ 14! I feel the leather is pretty good and should break in nicely..not "premium" as described on the snkrs app but still nice. Nothing compares to the ogs of course, but overall JB did pretty good on these when you compare to other retros.
Jordans are not hooping shoes anymore they are primarily in the “lifestyle” category . You can see the difference, the OG looks like a true hooping shoe
I feel like the OG was heavier ?... and the New chrome shank plate is cheaper looking then the original . But overall its a Beautiful sneaker great video ...
I love the way they look however I'm not a fan of the leather, too stiff. The 2014 version used softer leather. Not sure if it's the quality of leather they used OR just PU coated synthetic leather. After seeing what they can offer for the recent fire red 3s, white/red (Japan) 12 2023, and reimagined 4s, even the playoff 13s 2023, I was expecting either that or close to that. And my left pair on the lateral side inside the shoe, the stitching on the black fabric portion is jagged and lose thread. My favorite colorway of the 14s. The white/red (Chicago) 14s are my second favorite.
@judgeandthefamily4191 closer than other retros, they aren't perfect by all means as I pointed out in the video. Plenty of differences but I think they look good.

Do you remember they recalled the kids pairs in the 90’s because they used actual car paint on the cherry 14’s I’m that old it made the news

@TheDudeAbides1998 it's decent leather imo but not "premium" as stated on snkrs app description. 210 should be premium though for that price tag
