I am reading comments and laughing because the point is not to critisize every single note or to compare two bands. The 69 Eyes is the greatest Finish band in genre and they can cover anyone. They did it their way. Thanks for supporting Rammstein ❤️

Reasons why this is NOT, NEVER EVER a bad cover:
1) Sounds like it was released 20 years ago. Like really, when u listen to it, it resembles of something between Savage Garden and Blessed Be era. The frontman's voice is really deep, much more bassy compared to the latest albums.
2) The production is clean and brilliant. I mean u can really hear well the lyrics, all vocal articulations, the punch of guitars and the depth of the bass guitar. If you are into music production you will agree with this.
3) 69 eyes + Rammstein = 2x combo
4) All the band members are 50+ years old guys. Let's hear how will all the haters here sing at 50+ and when we'll talk.
5) Don't like the video? Since when do people listen to "videos"? Music weights more than videos. They are musicians, not film makers.
6) Go start a band that will last 33+ years, release 13 albums (some of them gold or platinum), go on tours with the same damn members since 1989... and then we'll talk about "bad" songs.
7) Music and private life (including penal accusations) are two different shits. Elvis was also accused of disturbing things. Still Elvis is Elvis (in terms of music).
8) You think this is a bad song? Go listen to Cardi B and Justin Bieber then. Don't forget to watch the Barbie movie (for video part, okay?)
9) If you have nothing good to say, just fucking skip. I bet a lot of the haters here haven't ever taken a guitar in their hands in their entire life.
10) Perkele vittu saatana! They are Finnish guys. Everything Finnish rules.

You know this sounds worse than both new and old Ramstien albums right? The mixing is much better on the original which is over 20 years old. As for their age, Rammstein is also filled with dudes over 50 and their last album was pretty good (well Zeit was kinda boring but the self titled from 2019 was good)
The mix is probably the biggest issue here. Its way too bass heavy and somehiw the guitars sound kinda muddy while the drums lack any punch. It honestly sounds more like whoever did the mixing/mastering didnt know how to handle music with heavier distortion and/or they recorded with subpar equipment. Their last album seems to have the same problem, its just less noticeable because their guitars and piano lean more towards a higher range.

It's interesting because if anything I hear the 69 Eyes in Rammstein's more recent work, some of those could easily be Helsinki vampires songs or have elements thereof, for example "Schwarz". But I feel like this is a bit of an odd choice for tracks.
This makes me miss doing fire dancing / breathing.

This is really bad. I know this song was released to support Rammstein when they are having a hard time. But there's nothing to grab onto in this version. The vocals are ineffective, the guitars are weak. The only thing going in this song is the drums.

Why are they doing a cover of this band in a time when Rammstein are accused of sexual abuse by several women? And before anyone comments "innocent until proven guilty", justice systems are not exactly perfect when it comes to acknowledging and punishing sexual abuse, so even if they're "not guilty" (which is extremely unlikely after so many statements of so many women coincide (which ironically does not make this a coincidence)), that doesn't make them innocent. Perhaps this tribute album was too long in the making for bands to be able to pull out.

Big naaah, with all respect to The69Eyes, they're a gothic band and they simply don't have that Rammstein energy, especially in the Vin Diesel-testosterone-punk-overkill of a song as Feuer Frei! Doing Rammstein covers is extremely difficult since the songs are already perfect and adding, removing or changing something will quickly throw the song out of balance and decrease the quality. Also Rammstein songs suit better for metalcore bands like Caliban and Thy Art is Murder (or Heaven Shall Burn should cover Rammstein) than gothic bands like The 69 Eyes or Motionless in White. Why? Because there always has been this gothic feeling and sound present in the whole Neue Deutsche Härte sub-style (Unheilig, Megaherz, even Oomph!, Knorkator or Stahlhammer) but Rammstein were never really much part of it, they came from the punk background and even though Till Lindemann's voice sounds very deep and gothic, it would definitely suit bands like Type O Negative, the Rammstein predecessor bands were pure 80s punk, sometimes inclining into Suicidal Tendencies style so there have always been more of a energy and anger in their music instead of darkess and mystery. That's why it simply doesn't work with this song. AND MOST OF ALL THE AWFUL GERMAN ACCENT!!! Don't even try, if you're not German or Laibach. Sorry, Thy Art is Murder...
