    I agree with you on Mario 2. So original and charming.

      I definitely like it more than the “real” Mario 2

    My list
    Kirby's Adventure - $30.50 - A game that I played as much as any game when I was young. I consider the last great game that came out for the NES.
    Final Fantasy - $24.99 - It started arguably the most recognizable RPG franchise and saves Squaresoft.
    Blades of Steel - $6.33 - The NES had some all time classic sport games, BoS is one of them!
    Zelda II: The Adventures of Link - $21.77 - My first introduction to the Zelda franchise and a game that will holds a special place in my heart.
    R.C. Pro-AM - $9.37 - This is the first video game I have recollections of playing. I remember going over to my older cousin Jason's house and we would play this game. Lots of nostalgia.
    Super Mario Bros. / Duck Hunt - $5.99 - The game that really started it all. No way I could exclude a Mario game from my collection.
    Total cost - $98.95

      You got a lot of the heavy hitters for $99! It seems like people either love or hate Zelda II - I went straight from the first one to A Link to the Past back in the day. I've tried it a few times but bounced off fast. I need to go back to it.

    Pretty solid list! California Games and TMNT would be far away from my list, haha!
    After some price-checking I'd pick. SMB3, Batman, Faxanadu, Rygar, Tetris, Gradius, Dragon Warrior and Ninja Gaiden. A mix of action, platformers, puzzles, rpgs and a shooter. I think I landed on 98 bucks and definitely a decent way to build your collection :)
    Love the video, keep it up!

      Awesome list! I can't believe I skipped Tetris AND Gradius -- thanks for watching!

    Great List! Here is what I would get after checking Price Charting.
    Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt Cart - Super Cheap for what you get.
    Dragon Warrior - Great Rpg and game length for price
    Gauntlet 2 - Fun cheap Multitap game for when I have 3 buddies over.
    The original Tmnt game - Hard but great for a good price.
    Startropics - Such an underrated and great adventure gem of a game and again cheap.
    Tmnt 2 The Arcade Game - Fun 2 player Arcade game and again cheap.
    Batman - Cheap and great action Platformer with great music and graphics
    Jackal - Super Fun Coop top down shooting game. Also cheap
    Ghosts and Goblins - Cheap, fun, and challenging. This one will take a while to get through.
    This all came out to $99.90 and that is 9 games total. I would say that is a pretty solid start for what I got for how much I spent.

      9 games for $99.90?! I love this list. StarTropics doesn't get enough love - I was just playing through it again last night.

    that's a damn good list for $100. Honestly, I do not know why an adult who is into NES in 2024 couldnt spend nearly as much money as a little kid could in the 80s. In the 80s, $100 would only buy you two games, and NES is now way more expensive than it was, obviously. But you know, if $100 is the budget for NES, this is an impressive list. I would have left California Games off of the list anyway. The $8 in cash is worth more. But the rest were genuinely great games.

      That's a really good point about buying in the '80s. I don't blame you for hating on California Games 😄 I like it, but I think nostalgia has clouded my judgement.

    I like to play with the kids, mostly in co-op, so:
    -RBI: $10
    -Bubble Bobble: $10
    -Dr. Mario: $10
    -Life Force: $15
    -The Little Mermaid: $10
    -Super Spike/World Cup: $7
    -Double Dragon 2: $13
    -Tecmo Bowl: $11
    -Jackal: $13
    Total = $99 for 9 fun mostly multiplayer focused games.

      That's a lot of fun for $99

      @@Watcher-Gaming Yeah, it's the big single games that mostly are expensive. It looks like a lot of the smaller more co-op focused ones can be had cheaply.

    I would pick:
    Kickle Cubicle $20-30
    Willow $10-20ish
    Zelda 2(there's a grey and a gold cart) $24 to 30 no idea on the other cart. I think the grey is actually rarer, not sure?
    Legacy of the Wizard $10
    Those are my picks.
    Some runner-up's/honorable mentions are:
    Shadowgate $10
    Deju Vu $12 (why is uninvited $100+ argh)
    Startropics 1 and 2 about $20 and $25.

      @Watcher-Gaming  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Zelda 2's an interesting pick! I need to go back and try playing it again. I want to love that game, but I'm so bad at it. Startropics was sooooo close to making my list.

    Great list and the OG Turtles game gets way too much hate. It was a blast and playing as all four turtles and getting to cruise in the van was huge fun. My list:
    SMB3
    The Legend of Zelda
    SMB/Duckhunt
    Mega Man 2
    Ducktales

      Also, Batman is a top ten NES game for me personally. It’s so good and actually very manageable to beat without save states because of infinite continues. I still can’t beat Joker though. :(

    • @Watcher-Gaming
      @Watcher-Gaming  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes! The NES had a few games that did this, but having characters with different abilities and being able to switch in real time is awesome.

      @Watcher-Gaming learning the rules of the game. First rule every single stage has respawning pizza with the exception of the dam me level and the techno drome all you need to do is leave a room and come back in. There is no run button in this game, this means jumps are done either from standing still or from walking forward. Lastly level 3 has respawning the most powerful weapon in the game turning all turtles into walking glass canons.

    • @breathstealer5486
      @breathstealer5486 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @Watcher-Gaming of course that's just to get you further on a more reliable time frame once you realize there's no run button the jump at the damn should be easy. Once you're able to heal regularly you should make it at least to the airport if not the technodrome every single time

    • @Watcher-Gaming
      @Watcher-Gaming  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I feel like an idiot. I didn’t realize there was respawning pizza! Thank you!
