Great skating! Glad your back! I almost picked up a pair of 72s when I got my AEON 60s but now I am more interested in these 80s! You are a bad influence on my bank account 😉
I apologize for NOTHING!! I’ve got my eyes on those new Sam Crofts AND the 72’s as well haha. However, to further my bad influence: these 80’s are easily the smoothest skates I’ve ever rolled on. The soul/negative are massive, no wheel bite, soft landings even on higher airs. My literal only complaint is the liners and that’s just cause they’re not broken in yet and I’m a baby 😂 Hopefully we can shred together in 2021, my man.
@@MattBurke820 I have 72s. The fun fact about them that they have the same ride height like an ufs with 60mm wheel, but roll like greased lightning. Also has a quite big hblock for a flat. It is a great skate.
So I'm sitting here. Wanting to sleep in tomorrow, but commited to a ride share I do for a guy I've been giving rides to for a while now. Its dry right now (rare in oregon). And this pops up. So what I'm getting at is if when I wake up tomorrow its dry I'll grab some skates and fight through the cold (you can why can't I?) and skate the park in the town I drop him off at. I'm not going to get better watching you skate, I need to skate. Lol "it was boring as hell" I do want to try aeons. But I've got so many skates that are fresh still. Happy things are working out for you man. Keep rolling broski.
I've wanted the 60's for a LONG time, but couldn't pass up the 80's. Those 60's look so, so sick, though! Looking forward to getting the new Sam Crofts that they just announced yesterday. Such sick skates.
Appreciate it! After skating the 80’s, I’m even MORE considering the 72’s and 60’s. These skates are so much fun. If you get a chance to hit the 72/80’s, I strongly recommend it!
Grinding has always been my main thing and unities are one of my most comfortable, so it actually felt pretty natural! The REAL problem I have is when I’m cruising with some speed and do crossovers. I comically over lift my feet so I don’t trip myself up haha. Appreciate the kind words! ✊🏼
Another great video. Love the idea of these skates but sadly just too narrow for me. Looking forward to seeing more on em. Thanks for all the great content this year man and a Merry Christmas 🍻🤙🎅
The Aeons are too narrow for you? I'm swimming inside these things haha, but I've also got the most narrow feet on the planet, so that makes sense hah. I appreciate you checking out the videos, though! Merry Christmas to you as well!
I just love these beasts. Would make clips on them all day! Recently got some RB Hydrogen wheels for them. Curious how they'll perform. Anywho, you're really using the grooves compared to me. Awesome clip!
Damn man. I see A80 videos popping up everywhere and I'm grinding my gears for a while to get one. I have an A72, I love it, but still. I actually love my A72 so much, because of that I'm considering an A80.
The 80’s have been on my mind for quite a while, but I’d be lying if I didn’t almost build the parts for a 72 and put that together, as well. The 72’s seem like they’d be a blast... but these 80’s are a TON of fun. If you get an opportunity to pick them up, I’d say go for it, absolutely
Great stuff man. I've been looking for a first pair of aggressive-style inline skates and came across your video. I've been skating fitness skates for about 6 years now, but want to make the transition to aggressive. I'm used to 90mm wheels and I know the difference is stark between those and traditional aggressive skates (58-60mm etc), but I really want to get into tricks more. Would you recommend these skates for that purpose? I'm worried that if I go too small I won't be able to trek across longer distances very easily. I'd be interested to hear what you have to say since you seem experienced. Thanks and keep your head up (a lot of folks don't take the pandemic seriously here either sadly - California).
Would it be hard to learn to grind on these? I’ve looked at the 60s but keep coming back to the 80 because of all you can do with freestyle and urban skating as well.
I did not mention that hah. The liners run pretty true to size. I’m usually between a 9-10 in sneakers and the 9/10 liner fits me perfectly. However, I’ve got suuuuuper skinny feet, so it feels like my feet are swimming inside the actual boot and getting pretty bruised up inside them. I just ordered some ankle protection to help against that, so hopefully that’ll work. But, long story short, in my experience they run pretty close to true size
I rode the kizer 76mm frames for a year. I actually felt like I had better consistency. It’s hard to miss soul grinds with such a tall frame. Stay Positive Bro! Florida isn’t doing any better or worse than any other state. Vaccines should help!
The taller frames and faster speed has me in a whole new world, I love it. Trying to stay positive, but florida is doing way, way worse than 47 of our 50 states and getting worse cause of desantis haha. It’s all a nightmare, but I do hope the vaccines will eventually help things a bit 🙏🏼
Honestly it's a LOT easier than I was anticipating, but it's still kinda weird hah. It feels a little bit like being on stilts at first, but super fun. The hblock tricks are a little bit odd, though, since they're so tall hah.
You mean my dog that has heartworms and is kept caged for medical reasons as he undergoes his treatment? Sorry for losing you as you jumped to conclusions 👍🏼

@@MattBurke820 Ok I got to get me a pair! Love big wheelin park but big wheelin park with an AEON shell OMG next level!!! 2021 is the year!

Love my Aeon 80s, definitely heat mold the liners.
Molded them the other day and it was a damn game changer haha. These skates are so much fun
I’ve just got some aeon 60’s. Loving them, ignored them for so long due to not thinking I could fit into them. Game changing skates! ✌️
I've wanted the 60's for a LONG time, but couldn't pass up the 80's.

@@MattBurke820 I have seen the Sam Crofts skates in person! They are damn good looking, hope you snag a pair
Damn skating in the morning when its cold is the best glad you showed some sites
It’s the only time I’ll skate these days! No sweat and no people haha
Your editing is getting really good man! Nice Skating :D
Appreciate it, my man!! Definitely working on it. Trying to keep things moving around here haha
Hope you’ve been doing well ✊🏼
Man! You laced those grinds! I’ve been considering the 80s and 72s. Love my 60s

@@MattBurke820 heck yeah! I’ve been eyeballing the you Roman Abrate 68s (72 frame size)
My brother just bought me 90mm UC Mushroom wheels for Christmas! Cant wait to try em out!!! Love the content keep it up!!!!
Great video and WOW - I also have the 80s and use them for big wheeling / casual grinding ! But that unity man - that took balls! Cudos!

Appreciate it, my man! So stoked to be out cruising around again.
Hoping 2021 allows us to link up and session
These are sitting in a box beneath my Christmas tree! Typical Scottish weather sucks and I haven’t been able to get out on them yet!

Insane props on some of those Grinds. 80s are no joke!

Dude I’m from Miami, would be sick to skate with you one day.
Hell yeah, once travel is a bit safer I’m all for it! There are a bunch of parks in central/south florida I wanna get into
Would it be hard to learn to grind on these? I’ve looked at the 60s but keep coming back to the 80 because of all you can do with freestyle and urban skating as well.
Maybe I missed but do these run big or small? I use size 9 in all brands so I am not sure if I should go true to size or size up.

Unfortunately you lost me at "dog in a cage".
You mean my dog that has heartworms and is kept caged for medical reasons as he undergoes his treatment?

Youre not an ambiturner I see.
🤣🤣🤣 I am not! 😂 so frustrating
