The look on Paul Sr. face at the end is priceless. He cracks a smile. Think he may have seen a little bit of himself in Jason's behavior. It may have actually even been a proud moment for Paul Sr., like now that's the enthusiasm i wanna see !!! Jason ain't messing around, you want to start over, let's do it !!!💪👌👍
Rick was the only person on that show that didnt change at all when it came to being on TV. Immediately going "grab him by the throat and learn him something" was the most genuine thing to say. It basically meant "if you dont mess him up I will"
If it were made up they would have had a camera ready to get the shot of the bike thrown off the lift. American Chopper is pretty much all real arguments. Sure producers instigate stuff but the fights are real.
@@alec4672 If that was real, Sr would have flipped out and fired him instead of smiling at 3:20. If Jr did that, all hell would break loose. Why? Because unlike this fake argument, Jr and Sr really fought. There was no make believe with them. When Jr left, the producers needed some drama, hence how this happened.
I like how the camera man was standing outside the office door, it's almost like he knew Jason would be storming out. I guess what i'm saying is this, it's FAKE!
I thought it was pretty telling that for Jason’s wedding Sr showed up in a full suit and tie. But for Rick’s wedding he showed up in jeans and a tshirt with no sleeves, despite him having known Rick for much longer.
I knew Jason Pohl from that scammy "illinois institute of art" he graduated from. A spoiled crybaby country boy, couldn't draw or paint, said racist stuff to kids who drew japanese anime when he didnt have half the talent they had in their pinkies. His roomate bullied him everyday. Jason was fat non-athletic smoker that told people he was going to join the marine corps. no one took him serously. He got a Job with OCC after he kissed tutle's ass when occ visited that golf videogame company ITgames, trying leave his boring desk job there. when occ hired him Jason's ego soared, convinced he was Bigtime, LOL We all knew world would see him for who he his. heard he is divorced now after a domestic violence case and can barely find work with his untalented cocky self.
I get that this wasn't really a good look for Pohlie, but what's the deal with how Senior handled this? When Paulie worked with Pohl designing bikes, they'd both sit in front of the computer, throw ideas back and forth and within a couple of hours have a practical and artistic rendering of what they wanted to do for their clients. I get that Senior is more hands-off. He relies on Pohl to be the designer. He may throw out some ideas and/or engineering focal points for Pohl to incorporate, but that's it. He's not part of the process, he delegates responsibility. Now after several days of fabrication and mock up, Senior is having second thoughts about the concept. Which is fine, I mean those of us that have some kind of process about just take a couple of steps back to move forward in a different direction. But he effectively blamed Pohl for designing a trash concept. Not "I've changed my mind, and I'm sorry but we need to start over," but saying "you designed a piece of crap, it really doesn't inspire me, and YOU need to buckle down and start over!" I'd take it a bit personal too. If your boss isn't inserting himself in the process along the way to effectively put his name on the project and stamp of approval on the original concept drawings, you're the Steve Jobs of bike building. Locking people in a building to make you a bike with someone else's money so you can unveil it and take all the credit in the end, is lame
Not to mention, during this point OCC wouldn’t dream of starting a bike without getting the approval of the bikes sponsor. So Sr changing his mind like that 3 days into fab most likely meant that had to reach back out to Cell Buckle and get approval for the changes. Plus, when you look at the original design and what they eventually finished building, I have to ask how much was different.
Yeah. Having a camera following you around is stressful enough. Everyone needs to blow off steam now and then. He’s still a young man. Cut him some slack. I didn’t mature and learn to manage my evil temper until my 40’s.
If he would have said I know I have seen it and I probably should have said something earlier but can you change it some and give it more of a wow factor. This would have been a totally different conversation
As much if some of it was scripted, this would be a good moment when they realized that all the money they made from the corporate bikes can't bring nack the creativity they lost along the way. Jr was able to have more creative freedom because that was part of the deal when he went solo
Rick, respect your work but you had a lot of work into all of that. How do you not stand up and handle that yourself? What he did would be the equivalent of you taking a hammer to his hard drives...
You can see that Paul Sr. didn't get angry because it was 100% scripted. If an employee had actually done that in his workshop, he would have freaked out, no matter who he was. see his son as a prime example. The bike really didn't look like anything special because it was intended not to be built from the start. This is how TV works. It also makes no sense that Paul Sr. didn't say something earlier the 3 or 4 times he looked at the design beforehand. Smells too much like the show wanted drama for ratings to me.
the fact Jason almost laughed when the owner of the shop says its not up to my standards in my opinion started the problem no respect, and needs to be taken down a few notches. this was a easy design and he should not be defending it when he knows its was a hurry up and get it out of here design. it doesn't matter if the boss seen it 4 times he is the boss and there is a level of respect that's needed. Jason stopped the communication on fixing the half ass design to defend his trash im a better designer then Jr's ass ego.
Well duhhh ok he desighns it,,, and shows him pictures then he sees it three to 4 times then he said he dont like it,,, losses 4days time paying employees . Then he bitches all the time about being in a hurry,,, from the design of the bike i seen was fucking awesome...
The Miz is pissed!!!
That's hilarious lol
I always thought he looked like the mizz

And you know it's serious when the allways calm guy tells you that. In real life though. Not on the Discovery channel.
In real "life" none of the guys are grabbing any throats😢!!!
All scripted!
Rick is actually a dick now.
The funny thing is, he should have said 'teach', not 'learn'! Dumbass.
Sr was laughing the entire time and didn't even blow up on him. It seemed so staged.
That was probably one of the most "made for tv" stunts I have ever seen.
You ain't kidding me needer...
I would be surprised if he could even act that good.

@@Sandman1832 Senior is older. And after all of those years of fighting it gets old. For junior, of course they really fought that was his son.
man i love these guys! ive been bingeing the show lately its still a great show!
This show had some great actors. Bring this back
The look on ricks face when Jason knocks it off the lift lol
He wanted to be Paul Jr. sooooo badly. What a jagoff.

Everything on t.v. is scripted
Lol, They are there to film everything, Its a documentary show
Yea crazy that a camera man would be there filming, for a tv show with cameras from every angle. Crazy to think about
Camera men focus on whatever is happening for diff angles. He prob went right over when he heard n got in position. Didnt mean it was fake
Oh
Princess was upset 😂😂😂😂
Just in case you missed it, “they’re starting over”
When Junior went off on Paul, he got fired. When Jason went off, he got a cookie and a hug, FUCK OCC!!!!! (everybody but Rick)
Keith Carter Rick sucks
I thought it was pretty telling that for Jason’s wedding Sr showed up in a full suit and tie.

"Grab him by the throat and learn him something" Well Rick, you got hands.
Not his shop or product being damaged....trying to give SR a chance to not look like a bitch. Year late reply, sorry my dude
@@taylorb5681 Point is, Rick would of got wrecked, regardless whether it was his shop or not. He's a nice guy, not a tough guy.
Exactly lolllll
What a tough guy
Rick was 100% correct. Some of us have to learn the hard way
Jason became so cocky he thinks he can overpower any decision from Sr.
Considering almost all custom built OCC bikes are complete crap, I trust a bike designed by Jason any day 😂😂😂
That dude is fired up man!
Dude was such a goofball!
Jason is no custom motorcycle designer, Be basically plays with his colorful etch-a-sketch and colors between the lines. He plays with graphics.
Looking like a v-rod on paper.
“I’m not offending anybody”… I’m gonna start talking mad shit and saying that before hand..!😂😂😂
Jason was definitely on the spectrum
Whenever he went to the hydro dipper they parted paint work out to you could tell. “Damn that guy is a bit too excited”
jason reminds me of one of paul seniors kids
Oooohhhhhh Jason "mister wanna be tough guy" hated that dude on the show
Me too

What a spaz
That bike looks like a knock off of a v-rod with a swingarm on the back
Hey look it's Sr's twin
Paul Sr fave at the end couldn't stop laughing priceless 🤣🤣🤣 🙂

The Miz used to design bikes?

Good acting
He wanted to start over…. So he got what he wanted 😂
Jason throwing his temper tantrum get rid of him
Who the heck would want to work in a company with such angry people? Its an effing job, not a relationship
Them bikes are junk 😂😂

Jason had no right to do what he did, but Senior saw it before they started the build.

jason tad phol lmaoooo
You can tell this was scripted and they were all in on it besides Rick, his reaction was genuine
Jason: "We're starting over! We're starting the fck over!! We're starting it over!!!!"
Also Jason: "Do you want to start over?:
Can I suggest Prozac Jason? :)
Risperidone
You think the old man would have a idea in what he wants but the truth is he hads no idea in what he wants .
that's how my dad is !!!!
Doesn't Jason have Paul Jr on speed dial?
"learn him something"
All of OCC bikes are cake decorations. They are meant to be looked at not ridding.
Wait, is he takin it off the lift?
lol junior was the real artist anyways that’s why all the good characters stayed with him
What episode is this.. I gotta say I'm loving this show
Oh, how I wish I could go back to 7 years ago...
I know this comment is about 11 years late, but it’s from season 8: silent treatment
Ahhh yes, Jason…. 1 of the 3 driving forces of these clown bikes.
Not sure I could have ever worked for Paul Snr. in any capacity.
I thought the bike looked cool...
Ratings were down because the SR/JR fights were out of the picture, so they spiced it up by telling Jason to ham it up for the camera. Sad attempt.
Rick worked his ass off and he just destroyed it
Does Jason work only design the bikes?
Yes
Didn't Jessie James say they were cake decorators?
Jason couldn't design his way out of a wet paper bag. He's only good for one thing. Hobnobbing Sr's ego.
Sr in all his angry assholeness was even like. “Wow dude”
What season and episode is this?
Season 8 episode 16: silent treatment
The guy is crying and throwing a tantrum.
Wow tuff guy I'm scared
WWE guys taking notes with a permanent marker.
Rick works at pocano hd. Sr basically made fun of himself by calling it a cake decorators bike.
Sr just went about it the wrong way

That chopper looked better than 99% of the other garbage they produced...
Garabage? have.seen the firebike and black widow
Just shut up a draw a bike lmao
I still have the jet bike, black widow, fire bike replicas. Can i became rich if i sell them?

The whole thing is staged
Jason Pohl is my uncle fr
Well tell him he can't design bikes for shit
Tell your uncle he's a clown that can't design shit.
I thought sr was pretty reasonable about it...i saw a boss telling his employee what he wanted! Jason would of been fired if I was the boss
The intro was a lie. Their bikes can’t run for 3 seconds
Lol Jesse James said it best if you don’t ride bikes you probably shouldn’t design bikes

Hmmmm things are stale. What can we do to liven things up. How about Senior angers Jason and Jason plays the role of Paulie. Now there's an idear !!!
rick backstab vinnie since day 1
