I feel the same, I’ve had to battle the feeling of abandonment, I’ve had friends only for seasons and then they usually fade away. My comfort is found in that Jesus is my true friend and he never abandons us!!

I'm so thankful for this podcast as a teenage Christian it encourages me so much. I have an ashiest family and I can relate so much to Ally's stories of feeling scared and embarrassed to be passionate being brand new to everything. I appreciate these stories because it gives me faith and hope the Lord will support me and bless me with friendships like these. I pray I will find my people and feel confident and know so much more thankyou.
Didn't watch this episode until now; but a month after this episode was posted I was invited by some kids at my Christian theater group after rehearsal to join them at the NC State fair. I had been praying for relationships with these kids since I started theater 2 yrs ago. Ended up being the best night of my life. Have now gotten more involved in that sort of Christian community. All that to say breakthrough with ppl takes time 🙂
I so needed this. I'm in a season of feeling hopeless in friendships. I feel like every time I try to make a new friend, my heart gets super hurt. Today, I was so at the end of myself that I went for a run and just cried and asked God to give me strength. Then I came home and found this on my for you page. It's so encouraging to hear that I'm not alone and that it is possible to make real friends. You guys are such an inspiration.

I feel like this was literally for me, today after church I spent hours by myself reading and praying asking God why I do no have community around me right now and why I feel alone right now. I feel like I have been faithful in what God has given me and I have reached out to make friends, but nothing has stuck. Thank you for activating me to remind me to be steadfast and seek God's face in every little thing.

I have some friends that I'm tired of reaching out, I've tried to be light and bring Christ to their lives but they don't really get it, I'm always the one who is trying to be there and I don't feel sometimes is reciprocal. But the Holy Spirit is convicting me that I may be the only person they have in their lives that truly love Christ.. Stumbled across this podcast and instantly fell in LOVE. This year has been a year of friendships - gains and mostly losses. Moments were I questioned the kind of friend that I am but I've learned that certain friendships were not for me. I had so much trust in them and it made me question whether id ever trust again. But with faith and prayer - I realized It wasn't a relationship of growing and he removed them from my life. And the people that I have gained - AMAZING. Ugh, I love him. Wow I was literally crying for part of this, it was so encouraging. So much of my time I feel alone and as soon as they said this was an activation, I felt peace cone over me. And even when they were talking about starting dreams, I was like “it starts today when I put effort into the visions God gave me”
This is so gold. For someone who moved to a different state, it has been an interesting process finding my community. This made me look at myself and reminded me to ask God for the people I want to be surrounded by. It's so true. Some of my best friendships just casually happened, not forced or me having to chase them. I love that perspective.

When I mean ya'll touched on every subject I'm going through and praying about, I mean the Holy Spirit worked through you guys and touched on EVERYTHING. The isoation coming from having to be away from once super close friends IN the church because of hurt and being unequally yoked, trying to trust people but guarding your heart from the trauma of the sinful world, waiting on the right friends while feeling lonely, trusting God to guide me to a new chapter despite everyday looking the same, literally everything. Praise Jesus because I needed to hear this. Thank you for the prayer as well I was in prayer with you guys and felt God moving. It brought me to holy tears. And the beautiful thing is, you're never really alone. God is always there with you holding you're hand. You only need to be still and know He is God. He will make it happen. (I'm 16 btw!!! love you guys)
Oh this podcast ATE! Carew is so wise beyond his years by the grace of the Spirit alone but seriously every time he opened his moth i was like, 😮. So good Carew!!! May God bless you with so much more wisdom that does not glorify you but glorifies the Lord Himself and His kingdom. Heavenly Father please provide me with the wisdom to make the right decisions for my children, and the courage to face each day with optimism. Lord because I continue to struggle with providing for my boys both have special needs. Heavenly Father as I struggle financially grant me strength.

I’m 17 and this year I feel so lonely and like a weirdo in my class ( I don’t have anymore my friends that i used to have last year ) , I just feel that I’m not myself and that i just don’t fit in this generation and I don’t want to force myself either to try to be someone that I’m not !! this video was an amazing reminder to cherish what I have. I'm 22 years old and have finally found a sister in Christ whom I love and who loves me so much. I'm so grateful, and it was worth all the suffering from before. it wasn't easy, but God fulfills his promises. we both ended up finding out that we were both praying for each other to find one another, and it happened in the craziest way. thank y'all for this podcast!

This isn't the message I wanted to hear today, but it is the message I needed to hear today. It's scary how god knows how to put his word and people into my life even when I don't want to hear it some days. But this is a topic I have just been struggling with over and over in the past few weeks and even months and I am so glad he has been working past the walls I have been building without realization.

I just watched this!!! Great podcast guys!!! I love y'all's friendship!!! I've had to rebuke the spirits of comparison, envy and jealousy, rejection and abandonment, fear and anxiety, depression and heaviness, discouragement, and isolation and loneliness for most of my life even among "Christians". I've even had someone who in "spiritual authority" over tell me that I should stick to making friends in my parent's church group because people my age are too busy to be my friend, which really, really, really hurt me and made me mad. I'm thankful for the friends I've had in the past, even if I only had them for seasons. Currently, I'm trying to deal with some church hurt and I'm still trying to pray for and believe that I will eventually find a good group of Christian friends who love, support, challenge, and truly know how to speak in the truth IN LOVE to me whenever I'm off (despite all the negative, hurtful things I've been told in the past).
Sept 29th makes one year since we found our kitten Piper who was maybe 4 weeks old. She has been such a blessing. Less than a month after finding her I had to put my almost 17 year old chihuahua Bradley down who was my everything. Having Piper there really helped heal me. After my dog passed, I started to become closer to God. I know that pets may or may not be in heaven depending on how you interpret the Bible (from what I have read) but knowing in my heart that Bradley was so much more than a dog; he was a living breathing soul who helped me and loved unconditionally. I feel in my spirit that he is with Jesus and living a glorious puppy life in heaven. I’m sorry this was a long story but it touched my heart that your one year anniversary of the podcast is also my one year anniversary with my kitten. Thank you for your podcast. 9:33 girl I feel that so much because listen so me and my best friend she’s my long distance Bestiee she lives in Florida and I live in New York and when we first met, our conversation was so intense and so deep and now she’s been my best friend for six years now going on seven, but it wasn’t like a love bombing thing but I’m a very deep person. like I just love deep relationships with people. I don’t like really superficial or surface level of relationships so like immediately we both had a love for Jesus we are both believers and we both have a lot of the same things and common but it was our value system that ended up working out so much better because we had the same values and that really end up mattering in the end
I don't belong to any friend group in class and when I see people laughing and being together I feel bad at the moment. I just really want a friend group where we all love God and encourage each other so we can grow in union with Christ. I'll pray for friends like that AMEN!

I'm so thankful for this podcast as a teenage Christian it encourages me so much. I have an ashiest family and I can relate so much to Ally's stories of feeling scared and embarrassed to be passionate being brand new to everything. I appreciate these stories because it gives me faith and hope the Lord will support me and bless me with friendships like these. I pray I will find my people and feel confident and know so much more thankyou.

Didn't watch this episode until now; but a month after this episode was posted I was invited by some kids at my Christian theater group after rehearsal to join them at the NC State fair. I had been praying for relationships with these kids since I started theater 2 yrs ago. Ended up being the best night of my life. Have now gotten more involved in that sort of Christian community. All that to say breakthrough with ppl takes time 🙂
I so needed this. I'm in a season of feeling hopeless in friendships. I feel like every time I try to make a new friend, my heart gets super hurt. Today, I was so at the end of myself that I went for a run and just cried and asked God to give me strength. Then I came home and found this on my for you page. It's so encouraging to hear that I'm not alone and that it is possible to make real friends. You guys are such an inspiration.

I feel like this was literally for me, today after church I spent hours by myself reading and praying asking God why I do no have community around me right now and why I feel alone right now. I feel like I have been faithful in what God has given me and I have reached out to make friends, but nothing has stuck. Thank you for activating me to remind me to be steadfast and seek God's face in every little thing.

Honestly, this is one of my favorite Christian podcasts ever. I love listening to it while doing homework because the Lord just reminds me to keep going and that he has plans for me. Ally's voice is so soothing and satisfying to listen too. :)

I have some friends that I'm tired of reaching out, I've tried to be light and bring Christ to their lives but they don't really get it, I'm always the one who is trying to be there and I don't feel sometimes is reciprocal. But the Holy Spirit is convicting me that I may be the only person they have in their lives that truly love Christ.. Stumbled across this podcast and instantly fell in LOVE. This year has been a year of friendships - gains and mostly losses. Moments were I questioned the kind of friend that I am but I've learned that certain friendships were not for me. I had so much trust in them and it made me question whether id ever trust again. But with faith and prayer - I realized It wasn't a relationship of growing and he removed them from my life. And the people that I have gained - AMAZING. Ugh, I love him. I was reading my bible while listening to the pod and doing my own personal bible study and I'm currently on mark chapter eight. right after I highlighted "if any want to become my followers, let them deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me" (mark 8:34) Carew said the same bible verse and started talking about it. absolute chills. also its snowing so even better!! This is so gold. For someone who moved to a different state, it has been an interesting process finding my community. This made me look at myself and reminded me to ask God for the people I want to be surrounded by. It's so true. Some of my best friendships just casually happened, not forced or me having to chase them. I love that perspective.

When I mean ya'll touched on every subject I'm going through and praying about, I mean the Holy Spirit worked through you guys and touched on EVERYTHING. The isoation coming from having to be away from once super close friends IN the church because of hurt and being unequally yoked, trying to trust people but guarding your heart from the trauma of the sinful world, waiting on the right friends while feeling lonely, trusting God to guide me to a new chapter despite everyday looking the same, literally everything. Praise Jesus because I needed to hear this. Thank you for the prayer as well I was in prayer with you guys and felt God moving. It brought me to holy tears. And the beautiful thing is, you're never really alone. God is always there with you holding you're hand. You only need to be still and know He is God. He will make it happen. (I'm 16 btw!!! love you guys)
Oh this podcast ATE! Carew is so wise beyond his years by the grace of the Spirit alone but seriously every time he opened his moth i was like, 😮. So good Carew!!! May God bless you with so much more wisdom that does not glorify you but glorifies the Lord Himself and His kingdom. I loved when you spoke about washing the feet of our friends who we might not feel safe with or feel completely compatible with. I had never heard this take. Thank you! I feel like I need more discernment on this, but this really blew me. And Ally when you said that Jesus spent His entire life serving others...WHEEWWWWW! That was crazy!!!!! I had not even heard that. I mean I am sure I have but the wording just blew my mind!!! God is so good!!! I love yall and I pray He would continue to work in yall to serve Him first.

Heavenly Father please provide me with the wisdom to make the right decisions for my children, and the courage to face each day with optimism. Lord because I continue to struggle with providing for my boys both have special needs. Heavenly Father as I struggle financially grant me strength.

I’m 17 and this year I feel so lonely and like a weirdo in my class ( I don’t have anymore my friends that i used to have last year ) , I just feel that I’m not myself and that i just don’t fit in this generation and I don’t want to force myself either to try to be someone that I’m not !! this video was an amazing reminder to cherish what I have. I'm 22 years old and have finally found a sister in Christ whom I love and who loves me so much. I'm so grateful, and it was worth all the suffering from before. it wasn't easy, but God fulfills his promises. we both ended up finding out that we were both praying for each other to find one another, and it happened in the craziest way. thank y'all for this podcast!
Been struggling with friendship still, especially because all my friends (myself now included) have gotten married and are moving away, having kids. Also haven’t been able to connect on a deeper level with people at my new church yet, but this episode gave me hope today ❤

It's scary how god knows how to put his word and people into my life even when I don't want to hear it some days. I just watched this!!! Great podcast guys!!! I love y'all's friendship!!! I've had to rebuke the spirits of comparison, envy and jealousy, rejection and abandonment, fear and anxiety, depression and heaviness, discouragement, and isolation and loneliness for most of my life even among "Christians". I've even had someone who in "spiritual authority" over tell me that I should stick to making friends in my parent's church group because people my age are too busy to be my friend, which really, really, really hurt me and made me mad. I'm thankful for the friends I've had in the past, even if I only had them for seasons. Currently, I'm trying to deal with some church hurt and I'm still trying to pray for and believe that I will eventually find a good group of Christian friends who love, support, challenge, and truly know how to speak in the truth IN LOVE to me whenever I'm off (despite all the negative, hurtful things I've been told in the past).

Sept 29th makes one year since we found our kitten Piper who was maybe 4 weeks old. She has been such a blessing. Less than a month after finding her I had to put my almost 17 year old chihuahua Bradley down who was my everything. Having Piper there really helped heal me. After my dog passed, I started to become closer to God. I know that pets may or may not be in heaven depending on how you interpret the Bible (from what I have read) but knowing in my heart that Bradley was so much more than a dog; he was a living breathing soul who helped me and loved unconditionally. I feel in my spirit that he is with Jesus and living a glorious puppy life in heaven. I’m sorry this was a long story but it touched my heart that your one year anniversary of the podcast is also my one year anniversary with my kitten. Thank you for your podcast. 9:33 girl I feel that so much because listen so me and my best friend she’s my long distance Bestiee she lives in Florida and I live in New York and when we first met, our conversation was so intense and so deep and now she’s been my best friend for six years now going on seven, but it wasn’t like a love bombing thing but I’m a very deep person. like I just love deep relationships with people. I don’t like really superficial or surface level of relationships so like immediately we both had a love for Jesus we are both believers and we both have a lot of the same things and common but it was our value system that ended up working out so much better because we had the same values and that really end up mattering in the end
I don't belong to any friend group in class and when I see people laughing and being together I feel bad at the moment. I just really want a friend group where we all love God and encourage each other so we can grow in union with Christ. I'll pray for friends like that AMEN!
