Good day Pan Nexus. Brilliant re-imagining of a much loved 8 bit Tim Follin creation. You took the core and remained amazingly faithful to that original as I supposed I or others imagined the gritty ZX Spectrum sound to be conveying. Excellent and superb cover! Thank you very much for creating and sharing this. I am glad this video has remained since 2019. Best wishes
Absolutely nailed it, the original definitely had a Sega Japanese metal/prog vibe to it before Sega made that type of music and you brought it out perfectly.
Amazing! I was dumbstruck by the original back in the day. I love that fans do this sort of thing nowadays. The modernised loading screen is a nice touch.
As a young boy, 8 channels on ZX Spectrum and the most primitive "buzz speaker" always made me "WOW". Tim was an exceptional creator, and very young. I plan to make a few more covers.
AMAZING RENDITION. The Definitive 4K edition of Chronos. You kept original, slightly distorted, gritty atmosphere of the song. Mmmm, delicious. Great job, guys!!! THANKS! ps. Very nice visuals following the original theme. The eyes in the miniature on the TH-cam list are simply hypnotizing "Come here, come...". I just could not resist. Immediately left my playlist and came here. :D
I love this tune, 1 of my all time favourite pieces from the ZX Spectrum. This version is awesome! I love the musical style so much! The artwork is superb too.
Great work! I remember the original and was blown away by the technical achievement on Agent X then wowed even more by this track that quickly followed it.
Absolutely amazing cover! Man you make my day! Since my childhood i love this truly brilliant tune! Fusion, jazz and rock! All in this music! Thank you so much for do this cover. One day may be i make a jazzy style cover!
Best performed with banks of vintage 1980s keyboards either side a Zaytax Navigator keytar slung over the shoulder, RaySpex on and your tongue out 🤘👨🎤🤖🎹🍹
@@SpoonFruit Oh, certainly. People largely don't think about ZX Spectrum games in terms of memorability. Nostalgia, yes. And, in a handful of cases, the amazing feats of music. Chronos used something like five voices, all of which had some rudimentary synth capabilities, which technically puts Tim Follin's music engine above the capabilities of the NES, although the 1-bit nature of the output prevents this from being fully realized. I still think somebody with the appropriate knowhow should disassemble the code behind Chronos/Future Games/etc. and reproduce the music in a way that bypasses the 1-bit necessity so we can hear it in a clean, 16-bit iteration.
I remember when I was a teenager I used to plug the Speccy into a cassette player to amplify it, and put the audio out from a huge wooden case speaker... This particular track sounded great. It has a certain prog rock vibe. ...And If you accept pettitions, make a rendition of my favorite ZX multi-channel tune... Trantor: The Last Stormtrooper.

I always wanted to do Chronos remake and never had time but this does superbly! Thank you!

I'd love to see a remake of Agent X and Agent X II's themes
Agent X remake: th-cam.com/video/OHpbYqaGDVI/w-d-xo.html
Agent X II would need a whole jazz ensemble.

Wow, how have I missed this cover of the genius music of Tim? Just wow!
я всегда любил эту игру за музыку. Я сам фанат британского рока в частности Куин это очень похоже..

Rewelacja, moje klimaty!

This melody was played as just it was originally intended to, and that 1-bit implementation was a synthesizer cover in Sinclair pc game. Nice!
What an amazing remix!! Maybe Tim Follin wanted to do this with real instruments, eh?
Bracie, to jest przecudny cover. Wspaniale to przearanżowałeś. Moja miłość do tego kawałka odżyła dzięki Twojemu dziełu!
Most satisfying!
This is FANTASTIC!
this tune from the past... love so much! tnx

I have only one question: Keyboard or Kempston Joystick?
Depends if you had the kempston interface! :0)

omg the Edit Your Friends part us freaking amazing.
Nice remake of the tune.
Świetna robota. Rearanżacja na miarę dzisiejszych czsów, oddająca jednocześnie dawny klimat efektu WOW na spectrumowym buzzerku. Na czym tworzysz ?
Dziękuje! Moim jedynym DAW w tym momencie to Ableton.

Love it. Now I'm curious to know what a Future Games cover would sound like in this style.
