I read a book once in 4th grade where a girl puts her two pizza slices together and called it a “pizza sandwich” and ever since that day I have never eaten pizza the same way, I will only eat it by putting two slices together
I think it could be the conversion, but also it really depends on the place. There are definitely pizza places where ordering a slice and a drink would cost like 5 usd (and i think ordering one or two slices is often almost as expensive as ordering a whole dang pizza), I once went to a supposedly really amazing pizza place where our very small pizza (there were two of us and it really was not filling for two adults) cost like 15 bucks and didn't live up to the hype. Sorry this reply got needlessly long, but at the end of the day I think it is just a matter of where you go
