Man the LTT is an amazing gun. absolute butter double action and just a very nice fit and finish. great sights and love that vertex slide. Been thinking about buying the one in the gun counter at my work.
Great job, suprised you don't have 1M subscribers, most professional review ever. Like to see more range time, hopefully that's planned, thanks, 5 star job!
Same with me. I actually loved the 92 thanks to leathal weapon and Die hard. Then I finally got to use it in the Army while on active duty from 1997 to 2000, and I was let down. The M9s I came across in the Army were poorly taken care of and wore out. Then years later I bought a new 92FS just for nostalgia and it rekindled my love of this amazing weapon. The LTT Elite is on my list for sure!
I got a 92 G Compact from LTT. I agree on the quality and trigger. Now I am anxiously waiting on a 92G Elite LTT I ordered today. Hope it becomes my favorite also. Thanks for the fine review!
I'm also a 92 fan. I bought the LTT about 6 weeks ago. Absolutely love this gun. Your middle finger fits the undercut much better. Dream to shoot. About 1000 rounds already. With no problems. I just wish I could shoot it like Ernest Langdon :)
@@jhelmsing The M9 musket! Fun fact, one of my LT disassembled the M9 to switch mag release button (he was left handed) and he left the trigger bar disconnect spring out (he left the 'bent paperclip' on his desk). It still worked if you held it upside down.
Very good review Sheldon, thanks. I just bought this gun. Had the trigger job and the night sights added. I love this pistol. The feel is terrific and the ergonomics are great. It weighs about 34 oz empty, about 40 oz fully loaded with a 15 plus 1. Kind of a large carry. Long barrel and a bit on the heavy side. But a great shooter and a very fine comp gun. To me, carry weapons are best if no one knows you have one. Hard to pull off with a large heavy pistol. But this is a superior weapon. Thanks again for the great review.
That's why u buy this for range advantage...bragging rights just because of the top notch quality...Beretta does make the compact version of this pistol...maybe better for carry....I'm thinking of grabbing one myself..
Just purchased a 92fs compact Inox that I have been looking to find for a while. Been carrying the 92fs compact bruniton (black) for a few years now and always wanted an Inox one. I saw this LTT 92 when I purchased and almost bought it instead. I will definitely purchase one in the future. Looks like a sweet Beretta.
Hey Jay, New to the Beretta 92 and just purchased a LTT Elite albeit NOT from Ernest's Shop! The price was right and it is as new as it gets so I will get the trigger in a bag and that will be that. Traditionally a 1911 or Glock Guy so this Beretta is a new adventure for me. Thanks for your input and expertise Sir ';-)
Sweet gun! I always liked the Elite series Berettas. In the 90's I always wanted the 92 Combat and then later the Billenium. I always prefer a metal frame pistol over a fantastic plastic pistol frame with all it's plasticity. I just dont like big chunky trigger guards and I am always worried about a melt down, chemical or heat. Plastic frame pistols do come with some extras with it. Testors model glue for a repair kit and armor all for a cleaning kit.
Thank you, Jim, for your very clear, detailed, honest and energetic overview and comparison of these weapons! Have you done similar reviews yet of the Elite LTT Compact and Centurions models? For example, how would you decide in choosing between the three? Please keep these kinds of passionate, hands-on, and totally unbiased videos coming. Thanks again!
Great video I don't think you left anything out. Outstanding value for what you get. Had a 92F Compact few years back always loved how smooth The gun shot. Be well stay safe!
Cool review..... I have been thinking about getting one also. Thanks for your service. I remember when I was in, I saw the transition from the 1911 to the M9. People were pissed. I agree that the M9s weren’t properly maintained and caused reliability issues. What amplified the problems were contracted parts like the locking block and magazines.
Another great review by my favorite gun review guy. I bought my first Beretta (92A1) this year after many years of owning Glocks and I wish that I would have gotten into the 92 series early on in my firearms journey. Thanks again bro!

Guardian Minifarm My buddy has the M9A3 it shoots good and the grip is comfortable. After I shot it a few times I went out to purchase it , while at the gun store the salesman also showed me the Centurion. I purchased the Centurion with the Wilson Combat trigger spring upgrade. No regrets.
The Beretta 92g elite LTT I will be picking up has the trigger job and Spartan Sights (night sights) which help my old eyes better than the fiber....that DA trigger is awesome and the SA reset and pull phenomenal so can't wait to get to the range. I have never shot a Beretta M9 or 92 before however am very familiar with DA/SA with my Sig Sauer P226 MK25 and SP2022 as well as my SA XDE, however their triggers are more as everyday use type of weapons. Thanks for doing the detail discussion and comparisons. (Vertec grips/frame would have been nice however very hard to find at times).
Also on the frame, if you look thy cut the sharpe edge around the mag release, on the beaver tail they rounded it off a little more, they put a flush mounted hammer spring cap, beveled trigger guard. I also put the Wilson Combat mag guide on mine. They also beveled the left bottom of the slide. When you compare it the M9a1 you can see the difference in the frames.
Good review JH. I have a 92 LTT and it’s the first 92 that I’ve really liked...and I do REALLY like it. With an APL light and a Hidden Hybrid iwb holster it actually carries pretty well.
Hello, a question I have a Beretta 92X, it is about the accuracy and it has to do with ..regarding the asymmetrical fit between the barrel and slide.... this could be solved if the barrel is changed for an Extended Threaded Barrel, 9MM, thanks for your time..Abel
I love the butter smoothness of the beretta, the LTT Elite is a very nice pistol I just picked one up. Your correct its not a race gun, it doesn't have anything on my Shadow 2, or competition Sig. That said those are much more expensive. At its price point, the LTT is a very nice pistol.
I bought one, and love it.. but mine was from Beretta. So I put the Spartan night sights on it and the Langdon Tactical trigger job in a bag with the 13# hammer spring. Trigger is smooth and a quick reset. Also I bought the NP3 stainless steel trigger. So with that being said buy one from Langdon Tactical, but the time I was done, I could have just bought one from Langdon. Pistol $1000.00 Sights $65.00 TGIB $165.00 ( Trigger Job In a Bag) NP3 trigger $30.00 (I think)
I don't think the skeletonized Elite hammer reduces cycle time. I think the claim is that it reduces lock-time (sear release to hammer striking the firing pin) due to the lower mass for the mainspring to accelerate.
I've heard that as well and I do believe the lock up time is also slightly affected. I think the cycle time claim is also due to the lower mass having less for the slide to work against under recoil, allowing the slide to get to full stroke faster. Again, I really don't notice a difference between the two myself.
My grandmothers maiden name was Zimmerman so there's the German side. And my best friends wife is Italian. Does that count? I had the Wilson combat version of the 92 and have kicked myself many times for selling it. Now I have the LTT and it's not going anywhere.

I just wish the frame was made out of steel instead of aluminum. Yea I know it adds weight but with all the anti gun and talk of banning this or that, and me wanting something made of all steel, I went with a CZ. However I have always liked the Beretta’s and I see they have an all stainless steel version but I also saw it was like $1,300 so I’ll stay with the $700 CZ.

Yes I do. If they partnered it would be a real threat.
They fixed the locking block issue. Newer 92's have a thicker redesigned locking block that doesn't crack. Old M9's might have the issue but not 92fs.
Oh, they do still crack. Just not as easily. The Gen 3's I've not seen shear yet.

😂 the good old days!
The elite hammer decreases “lock time”
Love the intro
Jay any experience with the 96A1 ? If I am going to carry heavy it going to be a heavy hitter ( old state highway patrol saying including Texas rangers ) Bill Jordan Harry Hightower Bill Hamilton old guys lol! 92 was my first gun and it has been flawless since 1986 . It gets shot but not much , sigs and glocks 1911s have replaced it . 96A1 is often overlooked ,why ! Who knows ? Just big brother of m9 .
Nice guns sir 👍
I just wish the frame was made out of steel instead of aluminum. Yea I know it adds weight but with all the anti gun and talk of banning this or that, and me wanting something made of all steel, I went with a CZ. However I have always liked the Beretta’s and I see they have an all stainless steel version but I also saw it was like $1,300 so I’ll stay with the $700 CZ.
0:11 0:14 i love my m9
😂😂 Good job brother! 🤘🏻🇨🇦
My favorite handgun, I wish I could get the M9A3 but Commiefornia won’t let me.
I feel for you brother!! Stay strong out there.
That’s a nice looking pistol! But I live in California so I can’t even look at it
The "92X Performance" pretty much cuts the nuts off the LTT model.
Nice job
