It’s a dream of mine to train with Ernest! I’ve got a Wilson Combat Beretta 92g (which Langdon helped teach Wilson how to do the trigger jobs). My EDC is a PX4 Compact G model. Ernest is bringing a LOT to the table for the Beretta DA/SA system.
Great collab with 3 Giants in the 2A TH-cam Gun Universe! Beretta needs to give Ernest Langdon stock options since he just brought the venerable Beretta 92 platform upto current industry standards!
The want is real. I just purchased a PX4 Compact for a smoking deal and have started making the upgrades Ernest and Spencer discuss here. I'll be reaching out to Spencer for a holster soon as well.
Already own a beretta 92fs and an 92INOX.Both have Wilson combat grips, beretta “D” springs, oversized mag releases and stainless guide rods.Went to gun store today and they had a M9A1 and it had to go home with me!
The first gun I ever bought was a Beretta 92fs and I've been a fan of da/sa hammer fired pistols ever since. I still have my 92fs, but I do prefer my CZ Shadow 2, especially for competitions. That 92x performance is pretty awesome too.
S2 owner myself and now a LTT Elite. Going to shoot the S2 on the 11th in a match. As soon as a good holster set up for Production arrives will try the LTT. Out of the box the LTT trigger with NP3 is as good a my S2 with thousands of rounds
I switched to the 12 pound Langdon tactical spring from a d spring recently and can already tell the difference just from dry firing, now I'm going to have to spring for the trigger in the bag.
Did you add the "D" spring? Was it better than what came on the gun? Trying to decide if I should change the spring to the "D" spring. I dont need super light trigger pull, just better than stock.
I've heard of some shooters getting occasional light primer strikes with the 12 pound spring, even with name brand ammo, but not with the 13 pound one. With my luck, just when I most needed the pistol to fire, I'd get a light strike.
Mr, Langdon was given mt Beretta Elite I 20+ years ago when I wanted to go into USPSA Production class. I, at the time found the Glocks ugly as sin, and the Elite was what Ernest used to win big time. When I got it back, it was amazing!!! I went from Unqualified in Production to "B" class in 6 months. It is my GO TO gun when the shit hits the fan. "Dime sized groups"? UBETCHA!! i LOVE my Elite I and would NEVER let it go!
My story is sad. I bought an Elite 2. Langdon's new trigger was declared illegal in Production class (changed outward appearance of the gun) so, I sold it to some guy in the midwest......been chasing an Elite 2 just about ever since
It's crazy seeing old videos you have lost so much weight bro. Congrats I also jumped on the fitness train went from 206 to 193 going to try and shed a little more before I focus on adding on muscle.
Why is beretta so greedy? Every time I think I am going to buy something else I end up with a Beretta. It’s just not fair. You are making me look like a fanboy. Then you put this Langdon guy in front of me. Great personality, passionate about what he does, and adds some salivating workmanship to the firearms. I can’t do this any more. I have to buy a Glock next.
Such a common story. Striker folks trying DA/SA, realizing the “difficulty” of the action is all hyperbole, and falling in love with the system. I’ve never been a big polymer/striker guy. I love my CZ’s and Berettas. Every time I have a friend or relative give them a try they want one and start carrying it. I got my niece a 92 compact and she loves it. Her brother is a big striker guy and alway bad mouthed DA/SA. Until he tried her gun. Instantly loved it, said he was jealous, and has been looking for his own 92 compact for carry ever since.
I would like to say that a Beretta 92 can be made to shoot great by just adding a #14 hammer spring. My M9’s have all the bells and whistles, but they were fine with just a lighter spring. Same with my PX4 Compact Carry pistols. It doesn’t take much to hit a nickel size bullseye in DA with these pistols. Great Stuff, Guys!
@@ASPextra Agreed, other than the polishing of the sear and hammer, most of the magic of the LTT trigger job is in the geometry of the their optimized performance trigger bars. Nowadays one can also order the kit with the match hammer option, which not only lightens both trigger pulls, but reduces SA pre-travel to just a couple of milimeters. LTT really gave that gun a new lease on life.
Wow, thanks John! Thank you Samuel, that's about the best advice for every one of us "beginners" when it comes to handguns and self defense/concealed carry. I just took a CCW1 class 2 weeks ago and a CCW2 class yesterday. I'm happy with my progress although it can be frustrating watching someone able to shoot very tight groups under stress/pressure and me doing my best to hit the target...... I understand it's a skill that takes time(and a whole lot of practice) and I look forward to learning more. :~)
I looked at Keepers Concealment and couldn't find a holster for a Beretta. No way to search on the site for a gun model. Good thing there's plenty of holster makers.
I have a Wilson Cen-Tac with the Wilson trigger job and is double action 6 pounds of awesomeness! Earnest partnered with Wilson and helped them perfect their trigger jobs on Berettas. If you want the best DA/SA trigger in a semi-auto pistol a Beretta with either a Langdon or Wilson Combat trigger job is really the only way to go. Simply fantastic! Rick
My buddy owned a Beretta 92. While he was going through his divorce he sold me his Beretta to hold on to u til the divorce was final. I thought he was nuts, especially as cheap as he sold it to me for, but after shooting it just once I totally understood. It shot buttery smooth, and fast! To know that they could make that gun even better, well I want one, big time! Now I just need to win the lottery!
Bought me a 96a1 in July. Added the Best of the Best parts from WolffSprings, Wilson-Combat, LTT and just loving to shoot it. Even went as far to add a "Ric's" Compensator and then an EFK 357Sig barrel to it and a Venom sitting on top. WOW is all I can say.
I have the LTT Space Magic on my PX4 compact and holy crap, what a difference. Now that I have a 92F and an M9A1 Compact, they are getting his Space Magic as well. He is a JEDI!!

Personally, I've found the 14's work really well, I don't have to worry about them, and the triggers are still really pleasant to shoot.
For the record, I designed this trigger bar in 08, Wilson contracted Langdon to "build it" in 13...I pitched it to Wilson in 09 and was told there was no market for it. Just saying. I have the original, the provisional patent AND a convo with Earnest in my FB chat saved. So...there is that
