I hand it to you for posting the video to show this, people need to understand that these types of things can happen with older cards, I would have jumped on this and bought one until you showed the video :( I am so sorry that happened.
Yeah, it was a bummer...but I knew those things happen. Once I figured out they were bricked, I figured I'd keep recording and let others know, so they're careful. Thanks for watching!
Man that sucks when that happens. It’s that gloss sitting on top of each other over years. I wonder if it’s even possible to find a box that’s not stuck together for that set anymore. At the 6 minute mark you basically accepted the reality of the situation. Glad you didn’t spend too much on it but still never fun spending any money when that happens
Yeah, it was a bit of a bummer. That was probably the worst I've seen. I recently bought another sealed pack; the seller said the cards were "mint"...not so much. Bricked too. So, I decided to use it to try a few different methods to "unbrick" them. So far, heating in a microwave hasn't worked that well; neither has freezing them. Lol! Now, I'm trying to lightly humidify them. I probably won't know the results of that for a few days 🤞🏼
I'll give that a try next time I have some bricked packs...though, I did place the cards in a sealed container with some moisture paper towels on the bottom...the cards were elevated so they didn't touch the paper towels. Then, I sealed the container and placed it in direct sunlight so the water could evaporate throughout the container. That didn't work. I think these were just too far gone.
