no matter what changes when they get recorded live go see them, and they sound perfect. i couldnt find anything to critize them when i saw them a few days ago well worth it.
People keep complaining about Buddys vocals, but you can't judge them just based on the few videos they have professionally recorded, you have to actually go out and see them at a concert. I've seen them at least 8 times since 03, and everytime Buddy has sounded just fine. I know everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and here's mine...
This gets me worried for today, since they're shooting the live DVD at the show, but like "BEGLEGH" said, I've seen them 3 times prior to today and they kick, soi guess it's opinion but i'll be front row tonight at starland again
@imtheeffingbatman stage presence is something that should come after basic vocal technique. that's like saying as long as the light show is good at a concert you don't need the sound system.
this is an ok performance I mean heaths vocals sound really different live and oh it was awesome i bummed a cigarette off jason black at warped tour such a cool dude great player too.
Sesnses Fail is the shit. It pisses me off when people label them as an emo band. Sure, some of there lyrics might be a little emoish but they are just some cool dudes from jersey that know how to rock.
I disagree highly. I literally don't see how it's possible to say that xD Buddy used lots of symbolism, and I've literally spent like 15 different nights listening to every Senses Fail song, reading the lyrics while listening, and just fucking crying. I guess I see them differently? I don't know xD
I think this is terrific, but I can see how you might think this is a bad performance...Buddy seems a little...off. However on the 16th I saw them live, and they were fucking badass. So yeah...Senses Fail rules! And Buddy is the coolest person on the planet btw.
Buddy doesn't give a shit about what he sounds like, and if you're a performer, can relate to their lyrics, or even if you see them live, you can understand. When he gets up there he's in the raw emotion of the performance, kind of like putting himself out there. The "shittiness" is all that rage and hate and pain and sorrow condensed. It's about singing the lyrics, not the song.
@XxXdarkersideOfmeXxX ah Im not much for being technical on genres I just like stuff that sounds good, one of my favorite bands is Primus, I wouldn't even know what to call that, Ive heard of all those bands except for Armor for sleep. I was lucky enough to grow up in Riverside county and Silverstein/Hawthorne/Simple plan would play there every year or two. Ill check out Armor for sleep!
@myescapeismusic to me sounding like you're supposed to is a huge part of a performance, i want to see senses fail perform, not some guys singing songs that senses fail wrote. to me a show will generally generally always have good energy, because after all we're fans and we're there by choice, and the bands are musicians and also there by choice, but good energy is only part of the big picture to me.
Well no, cuz I just mean this particular performance. He's amazing in studio if you ever hear any demos or recordings, so it's not like he CAN'T do it. And I didn't word that well, I mean he's not doing his best because he's letting everything out
@myescapeismusic I think we was sick, he's not even singing really. I've seen them live as well they're epic as fuck, but yeah he sounds sick as hell O_O!
i dunno, buddy on stage is diff from buddy off stage. sometimes he seems out of it on stage and then right after he's different. but i dunno whether it's the alcohol, screaming, or lack of vocal warm-ups that are keeping buddy's singing vocals down. at least heath can pick up for buddy. just sucks though cause i've been to shows where he sounded awesome live (minus audience singing and stage presence). seems like they have more off days than good days. whatever, still one of my favorites.
I think he found is sream style to be better (although it sounds more like grawl) that part is nice, just the fact that he can't go high pitch isn't to bad but a lil work and it would be 100% imo
well the thing with buddy, no one really knows how good of a singer he is. seeing as he really isn't very good live, but in the studio he's amazing. but that could only be from a program called voice tuner, is a grand and what alot of professional bands use if the singer is off. so for all we know they could just use that alot. but either way senses fail is still a kickass fuckin band
dude a bunch of bands' voocalists are different live. there are litterally only a handful of alternative/screamo/punk (or w/e u wanna catogorize senses fail as) that are AS GOOD live. Some are better than others, but very few are close to being as good on their record
@sk8brder40 cant really remember what i said but im guessing it was pretty stupid of me to say which is why i deleted it but w.e it was im sorry bro, lets just enjoy the music
@SHIIIIIIT Senses Fail isn't the greatest band to go see live. Don't get me wrong, I love the band (they're my favorite band). I'm just not going to lie. They aren't always great live.
Buddy tried to cover up his voice with screaming the chorus..it sounded decent, but he really needs to get his voice back, or the band wont go anywhere.
I wasn't not talking about emo music because all music is emotional in a sense. I just can't stand the scene/emo fad. I'm just not a big fan of silly fashion trends, but I leave those kids alone and let them have thier fun.
@myescapeismusic if they're singing songs they wrote and sound nothing like what they're supposed to sound like, to me its essentially the same as someone who isn't senses fail singing senses fails songs. because they don't sound right. and sure they wont be flawless, but buddy could certainly sound closer to how he did on the album then he does. many other bands do just that. and sure i'll still go see em live, doesn't change the fact that compared to other musicians, buddy sings poorly live.
@myescapeismusic senses fails my favorite band, but i can honestly say they're relatively bad live compared to other shows iv'e seen live. rise against, disturbed, 10 years, hollywood undead, all put them to shame live imo. they're not really bad live, they're just no where as good as they are in the studio imo.
most bands suck on Fuel TV, their setup is terrible. also, at a live concert you get to experience their energy and passion for the music, as it were. makes it much better, especially in senses fails case cause buddy's lyrics are pretty personal.
***shameless self promotion*** "check out my senses fail covers" im not awesome at singing but i got some sick screams in dying on your birthday wolves at the door im gonna cover this song jes' aint to it yet
@DrummerSpazz I can, and do. It's not that hard if you know how to do it. Trust me, Buddy sounds like absolute ass here, and it's because he's definitely drunk, not tired or anything else.
i bet if this was some garage band doing a senses fail cover, you would all be like "OMG these guys suck!!" But because its actually senses fail, and you guys are fans, ur not gonna complain. IM a SF fan too, but ill be honest and say that they arent the best live band. In fact, they suck... CD's good though
I remember being in my living room when this came on. Senses fail has always been a great live band!
no matter what changes when they get recorded live
go see them, and they sound perfect.
i couldnt find anything to critize them when i saw them a few days ago
well worth it.
highlight of this video. garrett singing.
that's heath, homie
rUafraid You can definitely hear Garrett also. He's amazing
i just saw them live last month at diesel lounge in pittsburgh, they were by far the best band i've seen live.
I kinda like how Heath changed the vocal melody in the chorus a little bit. sounds pretty cool
Mannn Senses Fail is still kicking ass! I remember picking up their EP after I saw Bloody Romance on fuse like 6 years ago lol
Still an amazing band
11 years after you left this and they're STILL kicking ass
People keep complaining about Buddys vocals, but you can't judge them just based on the few videos they have professionally recorded, you have to actually go out and see them at a concert. I've seen them at least 8 times since 03, and everytime Buddy has sounded just fine. I know everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and here's mine...
Yeah you guys are right I just watched some of there older videos. I deffinately see the connection now. lol
still awesome
thank you!
his screams are so much better here its incredible
wow nice ups in the beginning to 4 seconds after lol buddy's getting pretty into it.
This gets me worried for today, since they're shooting the live DVD at the show, but like "BEGLEGH" said, I've seen them 3 times prior to today and they kick, soi guess it's opinion but i'll be front row tonight at starland again
I'm not gonna lie, Buddy looks amazing in this.
sick solo
this is actually pretty good compared to other live vids lol. :/
The sound is messed up because of the speakers and mic placement. Thats why you hear odd delays in the vocals
I prefer the Rancid, Pennywise type of punk, but this stuff isn't bad at all :D
agree how can they record audio like this?
sf did rule at warped sad to see heaths last show though =(
I hope there good live I'm seeing them at Warped Tour at Merriweather Post Pavillion
the fuckin instruments sounded perfect. So did his screams too.
amen to that
@imtheeffingbatman stage presence is something that should come after basic vocal technique. that's like saying as long as the light show is good at a concert you don't need the sound system.
this is an ok performance I mean heaths vocals sound really different live and oh it was awesome i bummed a cigarette off jason black at warped tour such a cool dude great player too.
heaths last show was in november. keep up
Sesnses Fail is the shit.
@Nikko92 it looks like a washburn WI series.
Heath was pretty amazing on this video..
he and i have the same birthday.
actually, scratch that....that's Garrett that's doing that in the chorus
holy fucking shit awesome fucking screaming !!
yes thank you...im not saying Heath Saraceno or Etay Pisano are bad...theyre good... but Dave Miller was really really good.
I think this is terrific, but I can see how you might think this is a bad performance...Buddy seems a little...off. However on the 16th I saw them live, and they were fucking badass. So yeah...Senses Fail rules!
And Buddy is the coolest person on the planet btw.

When he gets up there he's in the raw emotion of the performance, kind of like putting himself out there. The "shittiness" is all that rage and hate and pain and sorrow condensed. It's about singing the lyrics, not the song.
i think that buddy did well in this video
Dave Miller needs to come back to Senses Fail......
@XxXdarkersideOfmeXxX
ah Im not much for being technical on genres I just like stuff that sounds good, one of my favorite bands is Primus, I wouldn't even know what to call that, Ive heard of all those bands except for Armor for sleep. @myescapeismusic Fangirls, the most reliable source for musical credibility.
FUCKEN GREAT SONG
@NuclearDanceScene see them live, you'll change your mind
i know this performance sucks...
but i still like it for some reason...
SENSES FAIL IZ AWESOME!!!
i was talking about heath
@myescapeismusic to me sounding like you're supposed to is a huge part of a performance, i want to see senses fail perform, not some guys singing songs that senses fail wrote.
to me a show will generally generally always have good energy, because after all we're fans and we're there by choice, and the bands are musicians and also there by choice, but good energy is only part of the big picture to me.
@skatexandxannoy yah peaple keep forgetting that emo is A GENRE. pepale are supposed to be labled that. hell senses fail even puts that in their CD
haha the beard guy's name is Heath..and unfortunatly he left the band after warped tour.
dude everyone says they suck live
ive seen them before and they are fuckin amazing
i dunno what SF you guys saw
Well no, cuz I just mean this particular performance. He's amazing in studio if you ever hear any demos or recordings, so it's not like he CAN'T do it. And I didn't word that well, I mean he's not doing his best because he's letting everything out
Dude, they used to label theirselves as emo! lol, but I think I understand what you mean though.
yeah wasnt there like some kinda prob with that....and isnt Etay Pisano his replacement....
im so sad heath is leaving :(
@BRIANgeestheish Yea I definitely want that shirt too. 609 for life.
Doesn't he scream way higher on the CD :-)?
I think he found is sream style to be better (although it sounds more like grawl) that part is nice, just the fact that he can't go high pitch isn't to bad but a lil work and it would be 100% imo
umm their a screamo band???
I would agree with you on that mate. Buddy really needs to get lessons, he's not a bad singer he just needs some help.
well the thing with buddy, no one really knows how good of a singer he is. seeing as he really isn't very good live, but in the studio he's amazing. but that could only be from a program called voice tuner, is a grand and what alot of professional bands use if the singer is off. so for all we know they could just use that alot. but either way senses fail is still a kickass fuckin band
@dmac412
nice rumour
he was never drunk on tv...he forgot the words..big woop.
dude a bunch of bands' voocalists are different live. there are litterally only a handful of alternative/screamo/punk (or w/e u wanna catogorize senses fail as) that are AS GOOD live. Some are better than others, but very few are close to being as good on their record
@sk8brder40 cant really remember what i said but im guessing it was pretty stupid of me to say which is why i deleted it but w.e it was im sorry bro, lets just enjoy the music
great video, check out mine of the same song during a soundcheck!
omg senses fail SUCKED lived a long time ago cause of unclear singing, BUT NOW THEY ARE AWESOME LIVE
@SHIIIIIIT Senses Fail isn't the greatest band to go see live. Don't get me wrong, I love the band (they're my favorite band). I'm just not going to lie. They aren't always great live.
yeah heath is
he was probably either drunk, or puprosely making fun of singing on tv
go heath =]
i like senses fail, but i don't think this was there best day. -_-
Buddy tried to cover up his voice with screaming the chorus..it sounded decent, but he really needs to get his voice back, or the band wont go anywhere.
? really, i though the oposit!
@myescapeismusic NO you just can't trust fuel tv.
I wasn't not talking about emo music because all music is emotional in a sense. I just can't stand the scene/emo fad. I'm just not a big fan of silly fashion trends, but I leave those kids alone and let them have thier fun.

they're not really bad live, they're just no where as good as they are in the studio imo.
@sk8brder40 And you're better? Okay.
yeah but Mike Glita was a good screamer
why is he not good anymore?
buddy is in key.
its garrett who sings out of key in the choruses.
that's cause the record makers fix up the voice.....
most bands suck on Fuel TV, their setup is terrible.
also, at a live concert you get to experience their energy and passion for the music, as it were. makes it much better, especially in senses fails case cause buddy's lyrics are pretty personal.
I cant believe they are the same people who recorded the album....... not a good perfomance :S
0:01 what is he a fuckin' rabbit?
j i disagree with Icarusia , because if it was just about lyrics and not singing then anyone would be able to go up and sing the song.?
@skatexandxannoy because it became a word as an insult from the genre of music
***shameless self promotion***
"check out my senses fail covers"
im not awesome at singing but i got some sick screams in
dying on your birthday
wolves at the door
im gonna cover this song
jes' aint to it yet
code13jesusglue did you ever do it?
yhay was um uh ok i guess
why does he always get drunk b4 a show
i guess
this makes senses fail look so bad
dear god whats wrong with the lead vocalist in these videos
@DrummerSpazz I can, and do. It's not that hard if you know how to do it. Trust me, Buddy sounds like absolute ass here, and it's because he's definitely drunk, not tired or anything else.
yeah he's HORRIBLE.. but damn I love them, even live
heath has gained some weight
I freakin love senses fail but i heard that they suck live and i think this just prooved that the vocalist live sounds a little worse... sad.
This is such bad quality.
i bet if this was some garage band doing a senses fail cover, you would all be like
"OMG these guys suck!!"
But because its actually senses fail, and you guys are fans, ur not gonna complain. IM a SF fan too, but ill be honest and say that they arent the best live band. In fact, they suck...
CD's good though
the lead singer voice really got ruined by screaming
three guys singing at once just isn't working for them
