i wonder how they are built i know the last layer and first to make contact with the tarmac will instantly be disintegrated but what happens to the layers under? what are they made out of?
The fact he didn't flip immediately after hitting the sand is already impressive. But how in the hell did that other bike manage to angle itself just right to become a ramp? Like, dude's a literal movie protag.
@@gibleymanFr, that has always been the most impressive part to me, landing it in the gravel or whatever it was and then immediately making a correction to get back towards the track is literally mind blowing lmao
It always amazes me how announcers manage to sound even more excited when drivers are in the middle of a potentially life threatening crash. Like the car can explode and they’ll be like “Wow Kyle are you seeing this!? I mean look at that inferno! We’ve had some crazy moments this year!”
MotoGP and by extension most modern motorsport are actually quite safe nowadays, massive strides have been made in safety equipment, materials and design features as a result of earlier racing where yeah it was basically a bloodsport
@ yeah I looked up a little while ago “what is the mortality rate of race car drivers” and to my surprise it was relatively low. It’s super impressive that they can maintain a level of safety when we’re dealing with that kind of speed. But still like the car will hit a 20 rotation barrel roll at 200 mph with bits of the car flying everywhere and they won’t seem the least bit concerned
I had a wobble once in a turn, my instinct told me to let off the throttle and stand the bike up (I had enough room because I was at the apex of the turn). Seeing this short is absolutely insane; had the wobble, gets it under control in 1 second, and doesn’t lose any speed or confidence. They truly are the best riders in the world, it’s hard to fathom just how skilled they are.
@@leprechaun3677 They've actually done studies into "positive psychology," and they've found that "the zone" is very much real. That was Jakub Korfeil, a Czech Moto 3 driver, at the 2018 French GP. He actually has motocross experience. He said that at that moment his instinct was to get off the seat and give it more power. @@dielaughing73 it's especially insane because he landed skewed ON GRAVEL IN SLICKS. Even the smallest of slips during the landing would've meant inmediate flop
Yeah anyone who thinks "it's just driving/riding fast" has obviously never attempted it. Getting good at motorsport is shockingly hard and full of risk
I can't tell how they guy hoping over the other guy that went down got air to clear him, let alone land in the dirt speed wooble and still ride out onto the track in control.
The surf is a regular occurrence even on public roadways. I myself can attest to that. That bunny hop or however that rider jumped the guy that went down in front of him is by far the most amazing of all these clips. Red Bull give you Balls !
The balls of these guys to race like this is insane. We only saw the saves, imagine what the crashes look like; even with that body armor it’s gotta be gnarly.
That's why I love MotoGp! I remember one year, the Australian Garry McCoy won a rainy race, where Valentino Rossi was no. 2, Rossi said after the race that he should actually pay the entrance fee, because he had the best seat on the track, he rode behind Garry McCoy, and saw how to operate a Moto Gp machine in the rain, like no other.
On that first one how he didn't get tossed from that initial jolt when the bike flipped is wild. That's a lot of force trying to turn you into catapult
I like how vehicle racing seems like it would be about who goes the fastest, but unless it’s a drag race, the skill of the racer and the quality of their vehicle is really more about keeping traction at high speeds, and the ability to recover from it (recovering from a back wheel skid is so much fun on a closed track).
When you have done something so much. It's just second nature to know what to do. That was very impressive for most of them. Especially the jump and landing.
"He's surfin' the bike!" was my personal favorite.
i love the announcer he’s so amused
Lol
the announcer's tone is so funny to me!
It will always be the best .
He casually laid the bike down and surfed on it bro...

Modern day gladiators. The primal part of us still wants the carnage, but we also strive to give them the best safety we can.

That death wobble chilled my spine 💀
