Thank You for the nice video, sir. Glad You enjoyed Your stay in Latvia. I take every opportunity to go on bicycle from Riga to Jūrmala. Our see may seem quite cold. I love it.
Great video 🙏🙏🙏 we went there a few years back in January, a few places open, and a very snowy beach and the sea was frozen a few metres out, nice train trip though from Riga
Yes I enjoyed the train journey, it was great to experience it. Must have been epic to see a snowy beach scene and frozen water! Glad you enjoyed the video!
When you visit there or certain other place as well, perhaps it's covered in your previous videos archive, I'm wondering about the way you pay for things. Make money exchange before a trip, carry Euros or use Online Pay Apps for things that you've NOT prepaid or booked like a hotel? Things unbookable or that you just decide to do because it's an opportunity that presents itself while you're there in that particular place. Things such as a train ticket, a taxi, a ferry, a museum or other landmarks or structures fees, food/drink supplies, entertainment or souvenir?
Hi T, I have an international credit card (so there are no fees for using it abroad) that works with Apple Pay so for most expenses I just tap. It does depend which country I'm visiting as some are almost cashless societies these days and others are a bit more reliant on cash. I always exchange money before leaving the UK so that I am carrying some of the local currency but how much depends on where I'm travelling to. I usually try to carry as little cash as possible. When I visited Sweden a while back I didn't spend any cash at all, even the tip-based walking tours had card machines.
@@MattWhitingsEurope Thanks for responding with the knowledge lesson on how things are paid for on your various journeys. Thanks for your videos especially when adding the cool😎ness factor where you're able/allowed to utilize your drone. Providing views that others that may have traveled to, or even live in, the same places have never seen. Continued Safe Travels Matt ✝️🕊️

That's wild! When I think of "Latvia" I don't think of "The Beach!" What a nice little town it's situated in!
Nor me so it was nice to see and even better to visit. 👍
Thanks for doing the leg work for me😉 I’ll be in Riga for three weeks and a beach trip is on my list👍🏻✌🏻🤙🏻
You’re welcome! Don’t forget your sun screen! 👍
That beach is huge! Bet that ice cream shop is yummy
I was tempted to get one but didn't - perhaps my biggest regret of the trip! They looked amazing!

Enjoyed my afternoon visit! You’re lucky to have such a nice beach and area so close to the city. Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed the video 😀

@jamuherbal 👍😃
Nice video
Thank you 😊
Lovely. Looks a lot like Polish seaside. Have you been to Tricity? It's worth visiting
Not been to Tricity, I’ll have a look at it. Thanks for the tip!
Dzintaru beach 😊
Is that the official name?
@@MattWhitingsEurope only one part i think. Is dzintaru amber?

You're welcome, glad I could add a little bit of inside information. Glad you like the drone shots, it's always loads of fun to fly it when I can.
Are there any English speakers in a small town like this ?
A few here and there. The younger population mostly speak good English from my experience.
fun fact : jurmala translates to seaside
its jūrmala not jurmala
sorry
Very interesting, thanks!
