- 17 October 2007 marked a significant milestone for Singapore Airlines - the arrival of the world’s first A380, at Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 3.
It was the first commercial flight for the Airbus A380, the largest commercial aircraft, and Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong was in attendance to initiate the water cannon salute for the arrival.
The delivery of the A380 reaffirms our commitment to innovation, to make Singapore Airlines, A Great Way to Fly.

Even today 10 years later, the A380 doesn’t fail to amaze me. Each and every time I look at it, I feel the same way I did 10 years back. Absolutely fantastic.
Ikr, the A380 is my favorite big plane besides the B747, in fact, I like the A380 and 747 equally.
@@tomandjerrydatwoofanboy06 I’m from the 21st century which is why I think I can’t relate to the 747 the same way as the A380. Simply beautiful. Even though newer aircrafts like the the A350 are fantastic, nothing comes close to the king of the skies
Seems like such a long time ago but it wasn't. The A380 has only been around for 10 years but seems like forever. Greatest plane, i love it.

As an *Aviation Geek*, I'am so sad that the A380 is gonna be out of this world, not only A380, all the 4 engine aircrafts, hope they all had a great flight, a salute to A380, A340 and B747, we'll miss you alot

@@officialcoronavirus3237 They were stopping using them for more fuel efficient aircraft like the 787. The 4 engine aircraft have to go eventually. The A380 came at a bad time. A few years of service and the aircraft started being replaced. The only Airlines operating the A380 was Emirates and China Southern. Airlines are bringing them back for some time now which is good! Emirates, China Southern like before and now Qatar, British Airways and Singapore are bringing them back for London Heathrow service and Qatar getting ready for flights to Manchester in summer 2022!!! The aircraft will be leaving in about a decade though. (Hope this helped, sorry for making this quite long)

Really hope that this plane can start its manufacturing again soon if possible. Really loved the first time flying on it back in 2014. Loved it.
@@Prod.byKRMA They won't make it again. It's too big, overbudget & impractical in the current world. Airlines find it difficult to fill all 800+ seats too making them lose money.

this aircraft has generated billions in revenue for sia during its 11 years of its service . the cost has been covered many times over . and fuel efficiency isnt that great as well .

I went on that plane 3 weeks ago! It looked kinda old inside but I guess that is due to it being 10 years old. Being retired in October 2017. Great to fly on it!

Imagine Singapore airlines having a320
Silk air
They have scoot's A320 and SilkAir's B737... Singapore airlines has only the fleet of widebody aircrafts like A330,A350,A380,B777,B747 and B787 variants
Currently Silk Air & Scoot. But later Will be Scoot as Silk Air make a transition from Airbus to Boeing, replace A320 to 737. But then Silk Air Will be integrated to Singapore Airlines which SIA Will operate Narrowbodies again. For Scoot, they inherited all Tigerair's A320 into Scoot.

Real stronge country and real stronge airline with excellent ! When I was young I take SQ1 from Hong Kong to Hawaii in typhoon in 1985 ! Uuforgetable excellent and nice fly nice service ! And then I first time travel by air is onboatd SQ from Hong Kong to Tai Wan in 1984 ! I love SQ very very much and support SQ forever ! Good luck to the planesand staffs of SQ ! ❤👍✌❤🙏 ！
