18-metre giant Gundam robot takes its first steps in Japan

A giant robot resembling a robot from the late 1970s anime series Mobile Suit Gundam was being tested in Yokohama, Japan on September 21, 2020. Its massive frame stands at about 18 metres (60ft) high and has been in the making since 2014.

Even if recently, Japan use a lot of money for his own defense and United States want them to have an army in order to counter China, from 1946 to ~2010 they didn't use that much money in army or defense.

The Japanese Robotics were more for urban usage while the U.S Robotics was more geared towards war. Ironic. The RX-72 Gundam uses a small thermonuclear reactor as his power source.
It shows countless times in the U.C timeline that their reactors are dangerous when critically hit, because it can explode like a tactical nuke, that's why pilots are avoiding to hit it's reactor (that can go critical) instead they just try to shoot the major part which is the Cockpit.
If in space then they can freely fire whatever part even at the reactor.
But if inside the colony battle they carefully not to hit it.
