It’s that Texas isn’t prepared infrastructure wise. At one point 4 million people were out of power in single digits with unprecedented snows and ice, no salt trucks, or infrastructure to handle the energy load demand. Our backup generators failed due to extreme temps nuclear, wind, natural gas, and coal. A lot of people still don’t have power, drinking water, or water period. Boil notices are still in effect. We showered at a friends house today because we still didn’t have water pressure after 4 days. Lack of gasoline and food has been very real. Grocery stores are on limited hours and their supply chains have been disrupted due to weather. Indeed we never experienced this in Ohio, but it does highlight the importance of upgrading the energy infrastructure and winterizing it to not allow this to happen again.
