Don't underestimate global upgrades. 5% global cast frequency on the common version of the upgrade is 30% across 6 skills. It takes a rare single skill cast frequency upgrade to reach that number.

yeah, I noticed when I played some more after stream. My brain was branded by deep rock galactic survivor, where the general upgrades are usually worse than weapon/skill upgrades of same quality
