The section starting at around 3:21 is to die for holy shit. Those sweeping piano notes, the bassline, the way melody is enhanced and intensified throughout, and then the section following that's just... so beautiful with the piano there. Absolute music goals right here
This was always one of my favorite PC-98 songs, and PCB was always my favorite Touhou game and the soundtrack I have the most connection to. This is soooooo good
i don't even use my yt account to listen to music (i do it in firefox's incognito mode so music doesn't flood my main page recommended) but holy shit when 3:21 hit i knew i had to immediately log in to subscribe. hope i can compose/arrange as good as you can someday :) love from your portuguese speaking brothers to the right of you (brazil) keep up the good work
A thousand apologies for not responding in time. It is totally my fault. I put a lot of love into this theme since it was one of the most important ones in the TH05 release, and I'm glad that many of you liked the result even though it was my first attempt at the PCB style at the time. Thank you very much for your comment, the effort and the detail to give your thanks is very much appreciated. Again, apologies for not responding early
@@KarlZuniga it's fine haha, i'm honestly surprised that this was your first rodeo making pcb style songs, it's extremely impressive for your first go at it
This arrangement is wonderful, it is the best theme of the remastered OST for me. You surprised me in many ways with this arrangement, so this comment of mine is going to be a little longer than usual, so I'll continue it in response to that comment (so TH-cam doesn't make it disappear). I was surprised to see a featured theme done in the PCB style (because it's the least often the target style of retranslations, and many of them don't sound good), then I was surprised that you did it (I thought you would go at most up to a TH10 style onwards, as you tend to do themes in the modern style), and the biggest surprise is that you've done so well (especially if we think it's your first time in the style) that this is probably the best PCB style arrangement that I heard. Also, you merged the ZUN arrangement and the original in the best possible way, the whole structure is much better that way for me.
You relocate what was supposed to appear at 1:18 (in the ZUN arrangement) to appear at 1:46 and fill in 1:18~1:46 with the previous section being repeated more intensely, as in the game. That's great, ZUN's arrangement lacks a lot in taking so much prominence from the original melody. I also love how you highlight the main melody in 2:13, while in ZUN's arrangement it remains muffled and weak. And then everything you did after 2:53 was also divine. Just seeing the MIDI full of instruments makes me think of PCBs. The crazy bass is really cool. Before, I found it strange how it behaves in some parts, but then I realized that they are similar in stages 1, 2 and 5. The beats are very well done, they sound like a PCB. A feature very present in PCB is these two beats behaving like you did in 0:58 and other parts, very good. I missed the long-lasting beat spam, which is almost a rule for PCBs, but there's a stage where they don't appear, stage 2, so I can't say it's entirely necessary.
I feel the inspiration in a lot of themes here, and yet it manages to stay uniform, without looking like a "style medley", that's great. All the inspiration in stage 4 excites me a lot, it's my favorite stage theme in the game. Wow, it's so good to hear the Headbangers Kit. You managed to use the flute very well, it doesn't look like MoF like many other PCB arrangements end up looking like because of the way they use the flute. 3:21 to 4:18 is awesome, so beautiful and dramatic. Well, here is the huge comment haha. How cool that the PCB style appeals to you, do you think there is a great chance of making more arrangements in this style in some future? I hope so, because I really like this style, it's the one that gets the least arrangements, and the arrangements constantly fail in many points for this style. Thank you so much for the quality work, it is fantastic!
You never cease to impress me with how observant you are. It's really impressive and I'm quite pleased that you liked the arrangement. As I mentioned in the description. I didn't want to repeat the styles I was doing in my corresponding tracks so I decided to go with PCB (thanks to Roka's suggestion.) Orphen suggested SA, but I had already used that style hehehe. I feel capable of arranging in different TH styles, but it's a bit awkward to work with Edirol Super Quartet and also for that I should keep listening carefully to the tracks of each Touhou. I loved the ZUN arrangement, but just like what you mention. I had certain sections repeated more intensely to give emphasis to the melodies that basically represent the theme. From 2:53 onwards if I'm honest, it's more of a personal section than PCB. There is no similar structure in PCB that uses what I implemented there. I just thought it was a good idea to put it there (although in some part it sounds like something from IN...) (The battery spam I completely forgot hehe) I was very fair with the flute, I only put it twice and that's it, I wanted to give prominence to each melodic instrument, piano, shaku, guitar, romantic tp (and the leads game which are a lot of them combined). I may do another arrangement in the future, in a way it felt fun to do this arrangement. For the next one I'll come better prepared (That means I'll have to listen more thoroughly to the PCB tracks so I can have more references). Again thank you very much to you for listening to the theme and taking the trouble to leave such nice comments
A decir verdad, no sé cómo no tienes más reconocimiento por tu trabajo. Realmente te lo mereces, y es uno de los mejores arrangement de Alice in Wonderland que he escuchado.

I just painted the whole image in a single color and inside the video editor you modify it with the option of blending, overlay, soft light, hard light, etc. The one that best suits what you are looking for
This entire theme goes hard and is sad, motivaitonal, emotional, fast-paced and pumps me up
When the fall at 1:50 hit I audibly let out a "woah"
The section starting at around 3:21 is to die for holy shit. Those sweeping piano notes, the bassline, the way melody is enhanced and intensified throughout, and then the section following that's just... so beautiful with the piano there. Absolute music goals right here
Thank you very much. I did my best to make this track sound decent since quite a few people like it, I hope I lived up to expectations
@@KarlZuniga it surpassed mine to be sure lol
Touhou 7's soundfont is more overlooked than EOSD and IN so I am glad you used it.
Feels like Ghostly Field Club.
It really does, since Ghostly Field Club is kind of like the bridge between Zun's PCB style and his EOSD style
@@Aedlmonrl in my opinion it's more or so a mix of PCB & IN

Certainly this theme has something special in its sonority. ZUN created a marvel
easily the hardest touhou arrange ive heard
not hard but the way it go kick

Damn, this song indeed feels like sadness and regret, very dramatic, keep up the good work
Those times when ZUN was composing like that were really wonderful
Thank you very much for listening!
Forever one of the best and most poignant themes in the whole series.
I agree
I disagree.
It's just still version that sounds kinda sad-ish.
calmest theme ever for me i guess
