Our NCL Joy Mexican Riviera cruise got cancelled for this coming week, so with the credit they gave us I booked the same cruise on the Bliss next April and one to bermuda in September on the Encore. I am really excited to cruise on the encore since we won't be going on the joy.
I was aboard for her last cruise in March, beautiful ship but I missed Spice H2O and the pool was tiny! I was in a studio and loved the virtual window. I would sail her again but Epic is still my favourite. Thanks for uploading!
Truly a great video, and my very first video your of a Norwegian ship. I've sailed on Royal Caribbean (9 times), Disney, Carnival, and Celebrity. Obviously RC was my favorite but I wanted to give Norwegian a try. That go-kart track sealed the deal and March 6 I made my reservation for the December 5th sailing of Encore. Thanks for your review. I’ve been on the Escape and love Norwegian. While it’s great to have multiple bars to choose from I found at night none of them had much of a crowd (because folks were spread out in all the bars) and therefore lacked any real energy.
Great video showing most important things on the ship. I’ll see not much difference between NCL Escape I’ve been. It’s just newer ship with few new things to enjoy. Thank You
Have they fixed the slide on this ship so people don’t get stuck half way down? I did the one on the Bliss and due to my weight I got stuck 5 seconds into it......makes people not wanna use the slide.
Thanks, one of the best cruise ships tours I have seen (and I have seen most of them). My only comment is that I was hoping to have seen a bit of the Studio lounge, the area for single cruisers.

Nice video. I was just on the Escape and liked the H2O bar/deck at rear of ship which they used for dance parties at night. It looks like the Encore uses that deck space for laser tag. That seems like such a waste. Does Encore have any large space for disco or live band dance parties?
Great tour! I have to say that ncl really nickel and dimes you on their ships. Those of us on minimal budgets can’t afford to eat at the places with good food. So many things to do but it’s expensive. Also, there are still limitations for people on wheelchairs and scooters. This is all cruise companies tho. As they put out new ships, I’d expect them to add these fixes. What do you think?
Thanks for your comment, Becky. I think there are pros and cons to this. There are individual charges for some things, but the initial price of a cruise with NCL is also very reasonable. So you end up only paying for the things you actually use (Go Karts, Specialty Restaurants). This can be a big advantage to something all-inclusive where you pay a higher price for things you will not be using.
Cruising with Wheels will be on the Encore for a group cruise in January. Frank is in a wheelchair and he & Kevin will do a full review when they return. Sylvia
It felt very familiar for sure, but the atrium, pool deck, and of course sports decks have a very different feel and I actually like the changes that were made on Encore. The pool deck is much more open and user friendly and the decor is a little more modern and refined in my opinion.

Been on the Escape and getaway, seemed like more things to do for no extra, climbing wall, obstacle course, mini golf. Hope I’m happy about the cruise because it was very expensive.
If you liked Escape I think you will enjoy Encore. The thermal suite is even nicer on Encore and the pool deck is laid out better. True, you don't have Spice H20 in the back, but all of the "extras" on Encore are optional and a lot of fun if you want to try something different.
I remember when we used to cruise and the majority of the entertainment was included in the price of the cruise now it seems it is shifting the other way where the price of the cruise is going up and you get way less for what you are paying more for :( The ship is beautiful and I will be sailing this March but it is too bad that on top of the high price tag I have already dished out for my family of 4 I would have to first dish out more to play a game like laser tag and second try and snag a time slot to be able to do it. The video mentions you can buy packages but many people have advised and suggested to not bother as the packages are quite hefty in price and you cannot get your money`s worth as you barely are able to book the activities if at all. You are basically lucky if you get to do the activities once. I found this true on a carnival ship we did once where we wanted to do an activity and could never get a time slot!!!
Great tour! Glad I found your channel I cruised the “old” Breakaway a couple weeks ago. My first time on that class of ship (I love the Dawn, Jade...). It was a fun cruise. I was a bit skeptical being on board with 4K but thank god I was able to get a Vibe key/pass (arrived at PoM at 8 am. LOL). Met some amazing and fun cruisers there. The pool scene was a shit show though. Human Soup hot tubs. Ha. I saw another comment here about the upper decks being lost on Encore but at least the pool deck here looks to be laid out a bit better. Did it feel like it?
So glad you could find our channel and welcome! And I agree about the pool deck having a better layout than other Breakaway class ships. I always felt the pool deck on Escape was a bit cramped and awkward and it's nice and open and user friendly on Encore.
Love the ship. But the nickel and dime you for everything. You have to pay for a lot of the other food option and race track and lazier tag. Lot of stuff on royal is free.

by the time you go, they will probably be like $25 each on average. Start saving a LOT ;)

That was part of the Seafood Extravaganza and was including in the buffet.. no extra charge..
