I got 4g lte sd865 s20 fe, my only concern was how long 4g will be around as I use my phones 5 years plus. 3g is getting discontinued in many countries
I own a s20fe, and these cameras are really good, but instead of using the stock app camera, I use the gcam on selfies and 3x shots, it has more sharpening and better colors (thanks gcam 🙏🏽)

Bought the S20FE 5G back in 2020 with £100 discount. With most of the software and firmware updates the phone has improved. I have to admit, the S22 cameras are slightly better, especially stabilisation and features. Apparently some of those features are coming to the S20 and S21 range including the FE. Strangely Samsung just launched the S20FE 5G 2022 in South Korea! It is virtually identical to the original. I am hanging on to my S20FE for now. Back to the S22, it is good, but I am aware that the battery is not great from various sources. No issue with the S20FE 5G. No good having a better camera if the battery can't last. Anyway a good comparison.

S20 FE is still by far the best selling phone here in Brazil right now. Just bought mine (snapdragon) at a sale on Samsung Store for R$1450 (U$285). For comparison, lowest price so far for a S22 was R$3900 (U$767) and for an iPhone 13 was R$4800 (U$945).
I was thinking about buying an S21. I have an S20FE. But I changed my mind, I will buy the S20FE 2022 5G that is coming to Brazil at any moment. Mine ia an Exynos 990 version. This S20FE 2022 5G is a Snapdragon version. I noticed very little progress in the S22 device compared to the S20FE. Nice video Man!
I just bought the S20 FE for $319 and I can't wait to get my hands on it. I currently have the S9+ and refuse to spend the money on the S22. The S20 FE and S22 really aren't all that much different, and once you process your photos I bet you will see even less of a difference, especially if you're shooting in pro.
I bought mine in the UK for £300 brand new from Ebay. So happy right now. Ive just finished my contract with an iPhone and couldn't be happier to back to Android.
Just bought a used S20FE at 300€, absolutely incredible value for money comparing to any phone I found at around this budget (xiaomi, poco, oneplus.. all have pretty regular cameras comparing to the samsung)
Also got it for this price range. In red. And got a little upset about jot being able to use it. Unlocked and everything. But I use metro. And thought I gotnripped off. And just the people that worked there. Went to another spot. And got it working. The battery is pretty good for using it pretty heavy. Thing I love the most is being able to charge it wireless. And smooth as butter with no bugs or anything. Got it refurbisged. For a 128;gb storage. Truly plan on have it for a good 4 years. Reminds me of NY iPhone 7plus. Also was in red.

I used an s9+ since it came out, until two months ago when my screen cracked beyond my comfort level. The screen still works, but after several years the major complaint was the fingerprint sensor chipping away on my s9+. So I bought an S20FE for $200. I've also had the chance to play with an S22. Simply put, the S20FE is very impressive for the price. Solid cpu, great battery life, the on board storage is adequate, it retains the SD card slot if you disagree, and it's camera exeedes the needs of the typical user. The only place where the s20fe falls on it's face is the ram. If you use your phone primarily to stream videos and send texts, it probably doesn't matter. But if you get into any type of content creation, you feel the limitation. I make casual content, for myself and my friends. Nothing commercial. Never really had an issue doing that on my s9+, so when I saw the s20fe had the same amount of ram, I thought I was okay. I was wrong. The modern versions of Android are quite different. Not only do they consume 10x the storage space, they also require more ram to operate. This means that, if you're editing video in one app while writing a long post in another app, there's a good chance the app will refresh when you switch. Most apps handle this well, but every now and then, it means a total loss of your data. So just "select all" and copy the text, right? Well, that doesn't work, at least for me, on the s20fe. I can't say I ever experienced a limit on the amount of text I could copy on my s9+, but I run into that quite often on my s20fe. I can still choose "select all," but once I do, the edit bubble disappears. I can't copy the text. If I long press and drag the selection down, I can copy parts of the text. But inevitably, at some point, if I drag too far, my s20fe stops highlighting the content and the bubble disappears. That's far more annoying than I ever thought it would be. Aside from that, the s20fe is hands down the best budget phone I've ever used
Not really surprised that S20 FE still holds up well, even S10 and my Note10+ still hold up well against S22's, and my Note10+ even has more RAM and more Storage then what you get on S22, plus expandable storage and higher resolution screen. Last few years phones improvements have been going more or less sideways imo, not really any leaps!
I took videos of Saxon in concert in Belfast recently on the S20 FE and the quality was unbelievable and even better was the recorded sound for the videos..amazing quality but tempted by the small styling of the S22. One negative of the S20FE is since upgrading to android 13 the battery has taken a big hit..i wish i had not bothered as android 13 does not offer any real improvements.

It's hard to say because half of the time I think S20 looks better and S22 the other half. I wanted to buy an action camera to film with while travelling but realised it might be better to just upgrade to a Samsung smartphone. But it's hard to recognise a clear winner. I have a feeling the colour on the S22 looks better but is actually less accurate. That's the sort of comparison you can only make with the naked eye.
Do you think that this phone is still good enough in 2023. I am thinking of buying a phone and use it for about 5 - 7 years. Camera wise S20 FE is unbeatable in the sub 25k category even now. That tells you how good of a phone it must have been at the time of its release, its basically a S20 flagship with slightly worse camera hardware, plastic back and a mid range display. The processor is still relevant today and is better for gaming than the S21 FE. It's even got IP68.
@Dariusz Tech, I am a tech nerd too, and went almost crazy finding the best phone money can buy (in this price range) for my mum. :)) Do you find one phone better than the FE for about that price? To me the A52S 5g (A53 is worse..) is closest competition, but camera wise and also speed-wise fails to compete. Is there any other option, even if I go.. lets say 100€ up from the FE? Functionally s20fe is still very capable, the only downside to buy one now is its future android OS updates, only 1 year left on the card, and it's a big downside (at least for me).

I reluctantly bought S20FE 2 years ago, always having a flagship model previously. It is absolutely fabulous, and who cares that the back is plastic, I have a cover on it anyway. Two reasons to buy it for me were: -Price so much lower -No stupid curved edges

I won't see much difference in a camera performance. You will definitely get a smaller device if you pick s22. However the battery isn't that great. I would wait for the s22 Fe if I was you 😜
I`m wonder, which mobile I sould buy after S20 FE5G. I prefer photos from my old iP11 but I can`t stand apple os. What I can buy for a beter camra but stay with android.
One question have updated s20 fe to latest android 12 update cause i bought one 3 days back and directly updated it and my geekbench score almost 30 percent lower then other s20 fe 5g but yeah pubg mobile was running smooth even in hdr so i guess my chipset silicon is built different 😉
The biggest downside with the s20fe for me is the front design. Some may say it doesn't matter, but for me the bezel size is one of the most important factors in a phone. I just can't stand the look of the chin it has... I personally bought the s22 ultra, but I was really close to going with the s22+ purely because of the symmetrical bezel and smaller chin (at least looks like that) than the s22 ultra. Ended up with this because of the boxy design, s pen and the camera
I'm glad I'm not the only one who actually cares about the bezels in a phone. Since the screen is the thing you stare at the most, bezels are also there and it makes quite a difference. My friend handed me over his s21 plus and it almost felt like a different phone compared to my s20 fe. Thinner bezels make the phone much more immersive.
started looking at phones again after a while. there is just no reasonable upgrade avaialble right now. S20fe price / performance completly unmatched, maybe when a s23fe comes out at a good price there is a chance i'd switch.

Właśnie wymieniłem na S22 z S20 FE i rzeczywiście do dzisiaj S20 fe to na prawdę bardzo dobry smartfon. W, dzień S22 jest tylko minimalnie lepszy czasami i S20 fe zrobi lepsze zdjęcia. W nocy też, jest różnica na korzyść S22 ale i tu S20FE zaskakuje z aplikacją Gcam to ten sam poziom co z S22. Co do kamery to wideo w dzień też jest trochę lepsze w S22 ale to w nocy S22 zaskakuje mnie najbardziej wtedy różnica jest bardzo spora na korzyść S22. Podsumowując S20 FE to do dzisiaj świetny smartfon szkoda, że już nie wspierany bo takiego A54 miażdży 😁
I just upgraded to an s22. Probably would have kept my s20fe but I had the 4g only version. Oh also after 2 years of owning the s20fe I just got annoyed with the size. It's just too big for my liking
I have s20 fe my Mrs has s22. Its so much nicer to hold than my fe cause its a tablet of a phone. But it has better battery and half the price so...mine wins. I just wish it was more compact.

As 20fe user and XS, yes the FE’s selfie camera is not my type, the white balance is so white yet pale.

I reluctantly bought S20FE 2 years ago, always having a flagship model previously. It is absolutely fabulous, and who cares that the back is plastic, I have a cover on it anyway.
Two reasons to buy it for me were:
-Price so much lower
-No stupid curved edges
It also has expandable storage 😜😁

I won't see much difference in a camera performance. You will definitely get a smaller device if you pick s22. However the battery isn't that great. I would wait for the s22 Fe if I was you 😜

S20 Fe 5g is still amazing device. If you want to feel a real upgrade you would need to buy for example Pixel 7 pro or s22 ultra

One question have updated s20 fe to latest android 12 update cause i bought one 3 days back and directly updated it and my geekbench score almost 30 percent lower then other s20 fe 5g but yeah pubg mobile was running smooth even in hdr so i guess my chipset silicon is built different 😉

The biggest downside with the s20fe for me is the front design. Some may say it doesn't matter, but for me the bezel size is one of the most important factors in a phone. I just can't stand the look of the chin it has...
I personally bought the s22 ultra, but I was really close to going with the s22+ purely because of the symmetrical bezel and smaller chin (at least looks like that) than the s22 ultra. Ended up with this because of the boxy design, s pen and the camera

I'm glad I'm not the only one who actually cares about the bezels in a phone. Since the screen is the thing you stare at the most, bezels are also there and it makes quite a difference. My friend handed me over his s21 plus and it almost felt like a different phone compared to my s20 fe. Thinner bezels make the phone much more immersive.

started looking at phones again after a while. there is just no reasonable upgrade avaialble right now. S20fe price / performance completly unmatched, maybe when a s23fe comes out at a good price there is a chance i'd switch.

Właśnie wymieniłem na S22 z S20 FE i rzeczywiście do dzisiaj S20 fe to na prawdę bardzo dobry smartfon.
W, dzień S22 jest tylko minimalnie lepszy czasami i S20 fe zrobi lepsze zdjęcia.
W nocy też, jest różnica na korzyść S22 ale i tu S20FE zaskakuje z aplikacją Gcam to ten sam poziom co z S22.
Co do kamery to wideo w dzień też jest trochę lepsze w S22 ale to w nocy S22 zaskakuje mnie najbardziej wtedy różnica jest bardzo spora na korzyść S22.
Podsumowując S20 FE to do dzisiaj świetny smartfon szkoda, że już nie wspierany bo takiego A54 miażdży 😁

I just upgraded to an s22. Probably would have kept my s20fe but I had the 4g only version. Oh also after 2 years of owning the s20fe I just got annoyed with the size. It's just too big for my liking

I have s20 fe my Mrs has s22. Its so much nicer to hold than my fe cause its a tablet of a phone. But it has better battery and half the price so...mine wins. I just wish it was more compact.

Only downside on S20fe 4G model is battery. I barely hit 3h of SOT but with custom rom it makes to 4 even 5 hours of Sot
