Very surprised to see J-P on this video only removing one of the two engine oil drain plugs. The official Range Rover workshop manual tells you to remove BOTH. additional oil does come out of the second drain, it is a pain where it is located but should it not be done?

You made that look easy! Great job! 👊😎

    Super vidéo
But in the latest 2016 model there is no more drain plug …
You have to remove the plastic raccorder

What about the other sump bolt ? You have to drain that too...

Missed the second drain plug at the back of the engine, this needs removal to allow the turbo sump to drain.

Never ever managed to find the second drain plug. Could someone give me a clear description of where it's located

@@simonchan1076 At rear of the sump, hidden above a crossmember. It is a pig to get off and drain without getting oil everywhere.

How much difference is there between this and the 3.0 TD6?

Hi loving the videos as ever but got a bit of an ask if possible. Please can I draw on your well of knowledge. I have a 4.4 petrol 2003 L322 HSE and for some reason the interior lights have stopped working when the doors are opened and I'm now left opening the doors with the key as the fobs stopped working too and the central locking button under the hazard light switch.. The lights work if you press them inside except the front centre dome light. I've swapped it with the back an the same problem persists. I've read about BCM's going into transport mode but I've no clue how to get it out of it or even if it's in it to start with. I spoke to Jaguar Land Rover Manchester an they now don't even have the software to work on my car even if I was willing to pay the £180+vat an hour for Labour/Diagnostic's. Basically if this has happened to you before or you have seen it before please help. It would just finish off the car (before the next thing crops up) Many thanks in advance for your help and time it's really appreciated. Please keep doing the videos as they are absolutely belting 👍👍

      Hi there,
Thank you for your feedback on the videos, it is much appreciated!
We have not come across this issue before so, we would recommend you seek advice from a local garage (who has diagnostic equipment for Land Rover). They should be able to help you locate the issue. Once you know what the issue is please feel free to get in touch and we can see about sourcing parts if you need them :)

An excellent video, and very well timed as I have to do mine any time now, I did think J-P would get a drenching of old engine oil here, but having the 4 poster avoided that! Is there a diesel fuel pressure regulator as on my TD5 Defender that requires servicing on the L322 ? Many thanks for posting this ! Stay safe ! Chris B.

Hey, Chris. Nope. No pressure regulator to service on the L322 as it's common rail and they rarely fail like the TD5 ones.

That is a relief! A real dangly upside down under the bonnet job that is, when the temperature here drops below 35 degs I must replace mine! Stay safe , Chris B.

Could be the Turbos. They’re prone to failure.

      turbos or inlet manifold cracked

Depends on the smoke type. It could be turbo or dirty injectors. I just added an injection cleaning stuff from Liquy Moly to the diesel. Amazing: black dust when accelerating stopped totally. But my turbos got replaced fortunetely by the previous owner
