I've been hesitating whether to post that or not, because of the great amount of ruabato in Duke's performance. I've tried to reflect it in some parts, but a rhythmically "literal" transcription would render the score unreadable.
So there you are, if you plan on performing it, keep the original recording in mind.

Thank you for your great transcription! I've heard Duke live play it several times. First time in Leningrad when the band came to Russia I was too young to understand most of the band's music but when Duke played this piece solo at the end of concert it was magical. I've taped it at the following concert, learned it and recorded it years ago in a trio. I've never seen the music to it until now. Fine work!!

Wow -- what a history!!! Also, it's really something that Duke says in his intro " it's about my favorite, possibly." . . . can't get much higher praise than that . . . except for possibly your describing as "magical" his playing it all those years ago in Russia at the end of his concert! Thank you for your comment!!!

Thank you for the lovely transcription of a very moving and intimate performance by Duke. Tough to capture the timing in a score.

Great! It brings back memories from the concert in Malmö, Sweden in Nov 1971, when Duke finished the concert by playing Lotus Blossom. After the concert I was happy to talk to Ben Webster, while he jotted down his signature on a LP cover I brought with me.
