Most of the singers are still alive, perhaps all of them in fact. I've been in contact with a writer who is working on a history of the band, and he has been able to contact and interview most of the past members.

Bro makau am happy that you know orch Kim Kim, wengi hawaijui, I wonder what had gone wrong, was it a pirated copy cos afterwards it came with veve lable not bolingo
Excellent research you did! I thought I was the only one moved by Kiam! I was just as curious about the band but there was no information. To add insult to injury, I did not speak any French!
You'll love this then: afropop.org/articles/congos-overlooked-orchestre-kiam-the-story-of-an-oral-history it's a very detailed history of the band, compiled and written by the kind of polyglot who could really do it justice. I'm proud to have contributed some information to the effort.
@@adamkozie9878 This is the kind of information I have been looking for. I have heard that they had 5 vocalists. It also sounds like they played two rythm guitars! Lele Nsundi & Djo Morena.. Thanks Adam!!
Sweet melody
Classic vocals of vintage Kiam of Muzola Ngunga, Bakolo Keta, Eddie Mboyo and Botuli Ilonge. Sweet memories

Could someone upload 'Masumu part 2". This is one of Kiam's greatest guitar
Great song. You could also look for Ya Mbuta recorded by Kim Kim Band. This is perhaps the last single they played as the original group in 1979

i think it is a Nairobi reissue, which would explain the later date. They issued three albums in Nairobi
Wasn't Vévé always based out of Kinshasa, though?
yes, in the 1970s, and later from 1980 Paris. Doesnt prevent him from making a deal in Nairobi. See my discography

Thanks a million Adam for the prompt reply. There was a Kamiki version of early 80's. Do you have it?
I don't but I'd love to hear it! This is the first Ive heard of that.
