While it’s far from the best, it was definitely a big improvement over the last few years. The only major complaint I have was the Grave Digger 40th Anniversary encore being really underwhelming. I actually really liked the judging, with maybe a few runs being underscored and Jamey taking the lead from Coty. Overall, a pretty decent World Finals.
The rain night 1 was bad. And the heat and humidity day 2 was brutal. Inflation is rising which IMO led to lower ticket sales and empty seats. I feel bad for MJ because since they had to let go 1.5k employees due to covid in 2020 this is their first major finals since. And gas prices are outrageous (as is everything else) I really hope Feld can hold on and continue to grow stronger than ever moving forward! Long live monster jam.
In 2001 and 2002, Tom Meents became the only driver to win Back to back world championships. It’s been like 21 years… *Plays Sirius for the Micheal Jordan of Monster Jam.
Its a good day when Tom Meents wins more world titles. The fact he almost TRIPLED down this year was insane, and his first freestyle title since 2013 is incredible, so so so happy for him
Actually the more I think about it the more i think Tom did deserve it he had a great run great competition and definitely deserved his 14th championship
Interesting, from what I see now Tom definitely deserved this win, and I definitely believe that Todd should’ve taken the lead over Charlie still think Tom Meents deserved the win now he is my favorite of all time anyway so
Tom didn't double down. It's only doubling down if you win racing and freestyle. High jump and skills don't count. Also tod leduc got robbed by the judges. He should have been top 3.
I gotta say. I really don't like the way things have changed. I miss Sam Boyd Stadium. I miss the old racing and the old freestyle. Anywhere from 2004-2012 was prime for the sport. Good to see so many people still involved. I'll have to find time to check it out more often, maybe I need to give it a second chance.
The high jump is one of my favorite competitions. The jumps from this year's high jump seemed so much bigger than the ones from 2019. I think in 2019 they were measuring from the front of the truck and this year they were measuring from the back of the trucks. Because even though in 2019 Cynthia won the high jump with 45 feet and in 2022 Ryan won with 38 feet, Ryan Andersons jump seemed so much higher than Cynthia's jump from 2019.
This show was phenomal from start to finish. I will agree that some freestyles were underscored like Todd’s, but it was still enjoyable nonetheless. The Grave Digger 40th Anniversary Encore was good, but seriously, they all should’ve shredded the track after the jump like they did at every previous encore, so not only did it lack so much, but it broke the tradition of a group freestyle encore.
Man, only Tom Meents is capable of whatever the heck that Two-Wheel run was. I swear his mastery of two-wheel skills is just on another level compared to all the other drivers, which is really saying something cus Ryan Anderson and Tyler Menninga are both pretty friggin good themselves
Overall, not a bad World Finals but it definitely was not one of the best (WF 9 still is #1). The racing final was very exciting but it sucks that it happened in the pouring rain. High Jump and Skills were much better compared to 2019. Freestyle had lots of wow moments which was awesome to see. However, fan/pro judging sucked which was a huge shock. I feel Ryan Anderson's freestyle run was a little better than Tom's. Finally, the encore was ok but I do agree that they should have done a freestyle after the jump. Hopefully Nashville will host another exciting World Finals show.
Freestyle and the encore was a little lacking in my opinion Actually freestyle was really cool it could had some more amazing moments Though this was the best World Finals of all time Can’t wait for next year
this for sure isnt the greatest of all time. encore sucked, racing was cool especially the end, and freestyle was meh. think Charlie should have won that
yea they truck jump has been done before. Id say for the next GD WF encore, let the top 3 GD drivers, preferably the old school drivers battle it out in a nontitle winning freestyle. Pablo, charlie would be awesome
Yeah this years world finals sucked. I loved the over under racing track but the freestyle track looked like just a normal stadium show they do every week. Grave diggers encore sucked since we’ve seen a long jump for how many years now and plus any driver could do that in freestyle and not just for a encore. You would have thought after 2yrs we would have seen it bigger then ever but nope not with feld I guess.
No way not even close the new racing track is amazing I love that , but the championship race was ruined. The freestyle track was lame as hell though, the racing course was far more creative. The actual freestyle competition was pretty good though with Tom, Todd, Ryan and Charlie it’s just the track was so lame. Also 2 wheels sucked except for Tom ( his attempt was amazing!) but it seemed like most of the drivers either failed and or choked (Ryan) or they just didn’t really try or care enough to want it more than Tom. Just imagine though if in World Finals freestyle they have a mixture of WF 7, 9, 10, 12 and some Anaheim classic big air and cross thread for their actual next track. I just miss the days of the double and triple buses and having more cars vans and bread trucks but also have the backflip.
@@MaxUpGearUp which is sad I wanted to see Blue Thunder finally win a championship such a iconic truck with the ford sponsership or not Pablo almost won or should have won freestyle in that truck in 2013 I believe
You didn't mention they brought out a pool for Jim Kholer to jump in to. It was honestly one of my favorite parts of the show.
That's a tradition for this event (Jim jumping into some pool of water).
@@Itz_Cooperdude we got something different, it’s good that they try new things
Imo this was definitely a lot better than 2019. Sure maybe questionable at some points but none the less better than 2019
I did really like World Finals 2019. I think Todd, Tom or Ryan should have won freestyle in 2019. But this year was WAY better.
@@airborntruck6263 no doubt about that
Anything beats 2019
I don’t count 2 wheel skills and high jump in my opinion for double down, I think double down would count when it’s racing and freestyle for me anyway
Same that's what I think too
Not even close to being the best world finals. World Finals 9 is still reigns supreme
He did say one of them
This one was all just a bunch of goofy little saves and Tom’s Modified wheelie backflip 😂
So the scoring fan judging was scored well again, nice, yeah the encore was ehh but whatever I guess
I think Cole Venard definitely should’ve won freestyle and the digger encore did suck
Yeah the encores have sucked since 2018

Definitely a top 10 world finals
I'm an old school guy,
World Finals 2 and 5 were the best years for me :)
Time to see what Tom’s doing for next year for world finals 22 sence Max-D’ is almost in the 2 decades of destruction
For the first time in years, I actually agree with most of the scoring.
Todd Leduc shoulda taken the lead until Tom hit the field.

TOM DOUBLED DOWND CAUSE HE WON 2 CHAMPIONS IN SAME EVENT

Next years world finals is in Nashville and I Wana see it
What a show after 3 years of no finals
Did anyone notice both of the past 2 winning freestyle runs had a cartwheel save?
This is definitely my favourite Monster Jam world finals event since World finals 18
This is what happens when heavenly father gets involved with monster jam! Absolutely wonderful to have been there
Just think we were a few feet off from having our first person to triple down in monster jam history at the world finals
The high jump is one of my favorite competitions.

I think high jump sucks because it requires no skill, and it’s the same thing over and over
The ones from 2019 were bigger
High jump is a joke
@@hunterneel7293 yeah it is kinda pointless
@@hunterneel7293 I strongly disagree.
After WF 20, 22, and 23. This one is actually underrated.

I mean tom didnt double down he just won 2 championships doubling down is Racing and Freestyle
I mean it was ok, but not even close to beating world finals 9 and 18, or even some other ones
this was my first world finals i went to and i got to say i love the world finals hype
Don’t forget that small circle of dirt painted half red and half blue. Its name is Harrison
Harrison should've been Dennis cuz it was a menace

Best might be a stretch because the voting was still bad and the digger encore was extremely underwhelming

Way better then the giant JCB advertisement and cringy Fortnite collaboration known as World Finals 23.
Good track just wish we had a fountain
cant say this is the best ever, voting was a bit questionable in freestyle but other than that the freestyle runs were amazing
I was there the fan votes were higher than the pro guest judges for the most part.
Why doex tom meents always have to win like give other trucks a chance..

You do know the stadium could have said no you can’t have 5 diggers driving on the field at once, Sam Boyd probably had no rules lol
But definitely not bad by any means.

How did Ryan choke? He made a really nice save!
Yeah, this show was great, but the scores is rigged. I will give Rayan Anderson a high score if i was there after his freestyle run
