This is the second video I recorded for the online Easter service for La Sierra University Church. I love these spirituals by Moses Hogan and I am honored to perform them with such a great pianist and my great-uncle, Dr. Elvin Rodríguez, even during the Coronavirus issue plaguing our world. Thank God for music that can bring us all together during these dark times!

While this song is beautifully rendered, you skipped the verse that celebrates the resurrection (hence your singing this at Easter)! "Were you there when He rose up from the grave" glorifies Jesus' victory over death which is the believer's consolation and hope.
