One of my favorite things About skating is that most of the legends and major inovators that made skateboarding what it is are still alive and still skating. It's such a young scene in comparison and the fact that we're alive right now in this era in skating is something all of us should be grateful for. Skateboarding isn't going anywhere and all of us have solidified our places in it's growth. Im eternally grateful for everything my skateboard and everyone involved in skateboarding have given me. I started skating when I was 7 years old and just turned 30. It's stuck with and grow with me my whole life. I love skateboarding and everyone of my brothers and sisters. Keep shredding my friends
I felt the same but then vans went and messed with the sizing. The new ones are way too tight. After nothing but half cabs for years and years I'm forced to find something new. I looked at the reviews on their site and I'm not the only one. So sad. The new fit is too tight both vertically and horizontally. It's a double whammy. Plus they made the side panels canvas which means they are even less able to be broken in for those with wide feet. It's the second time in the last decade they've made the shoes considerably worse. The first time was about seven years ago when they went from the soft OG style to a new one that was stiffer with a thinner sole.
@@tom_edge Tony was on the bones brigade with cab and has the deeper relationship with him more than any other vans rider. Reynolds had a half cab colorway and should be in all of them. This episode had a deed cast and he should have been in there too. Just my opinion.
OMG i can't believe i'm not the only one who says this, i hate vulc soles and the only reason i don't buy them is the vulc...i can't flip my kickflips the same without cup soles!! u don't see too many kickflips in the video...
Ever since I saw him win the Winchester Pro/Am.... He's been my favorite skater. I've owned nothing but Vans since '86 (when they first arrived in Toronto); but I still haven't bought a pair of Half Cabs. Next on my list though!
Love Cab and Vans and good for them to celebrate Cab and that iconic shoe. That being said I have been incredibly disappointed with almost all of the limited releases that came out. Granted I am 45 so my style is different now but I just don’t get where they went wrong with so many of the limited releases.
I loved mine. I just hope the new ones don't come unglued like my Trujillo's did. Never had that back in the day. I was really pissed off. I haven't bought Vans since.
Same here..got a TNT from a friend.he slightly skated in them..he gave it to me, now im still skatin it to this day, but after weeks you'll notice the sole breakin apart from the upper. Thankfully i never spent money on this
Geoff dropped a lot of money when he went from Airwalk to Vans. He done it cause he loves skating in Vans. The guy can be on any shoe brand he wants, he’s Geoff Rowley.
I love the way half cabs look but ive never tried on a more uncomfortable and weirdly shaped shoe, ive heard other people agree. It could just be the pro skate versions
These shoes must be off the shelves in California, because you don't see anyone skating these shoes where I live, they disintegrate on your feet, vans construction is a joke. Do people honestly believe this? You ask anyone who has had these and they will agree, they fall apart.
