    Good explanation... Can you suggest an economic long range rf id tag?

      There are a few great and economically long range RFID tags, just depending on your application. Take a look at this ebook though, it talks about RFID tags and the differences between them so that you can accurately select the right tag for your application.

    Hey i am using mfrc522 rfid module and is it possible to get 0.5 meter range with this chip and if yes how can i get it,with my card i am just getting 4 cm range

      Hi, Likely no. The issue is that you are using HF which is 13.56 MHz which has a typically shorter range than UHF. Checkout this ebook that talks about the difference in frequency ranges and how it corresponds to read range -
