add two 2x4 to your existing rig without the pvc skids and make your rig into a H. Drill 2 holes one end and tie your rope to it. The end with the magnet will drag on the bottom of the lake. The two 2x4 will control how far your magnets are to the bottom.
I was laughing at first but now I’m just really sad for him. I can’t imagine going through life like this. I think he could use medication for some but the rest can’t be fixed. I’m glad he got rich bc at least he can laugh at his struggles
He gets obsessed with things very quickly it seems. And then he moves on to another obsession the next week. Remember when he put all that effort into buying old pallets, made a warehouse and everything, he hasn't mentioned that in forever. Same with like 10 other projects.
the way we find things also is you take items the same size as what you lose and throw/drop them in the exact same spot you lost the last item you want and it gives you a solid spread of where the falls could go
As an ex-sparky, we used hack saws to cut most of our PVC. Cords are a pain in the butt and batteries were saved for the drills. Anybody who gives you crap for it doesn't know WTF they're talking about. 😂
I hope your mouth is feeling better. I took out my wisdom teeth a couple years ago and it made a world of difference in reducing plaque and giving me fresher breath.
It's a bummer you lost your suppressor in the lake and the ideas to retrieve it isn't working out either. However, at 19:26 made me giggle. I hope you find the suppressor soon.
Since you magnets had eye hooks.... How about using another set of larger eye hooks screwed into the 2x4's, or large U bolts screwed into the 2x4.... to adjust the level and be more secure than bailing wire....
I like the pvc pipe idea you have at the end of the video. I can’t picture all of it, but I like it. I was wondering if it would make things easier to attach the magnets straight into the big U shaped PVC you’re going to build? Get rid of the wood. Idk 🤷🏼♀️ just an idea
I don’t know anything about fishing, or boats for that matter, but I love the look of that boat. No idea if it’s crazy expensive for a boat or not, but I love it! Living in the desert, you don’t really come across a lot of boats lol.
Screw 8" wheels to the sides with bearings so the magnets stay face down. Basically like making a roller magnet we use on construction sites for nails and screws
Before continuing to redesign your whole build put something similar on the magnet and drag it the way you’re doing and see if your theory of dragging it off is true or not.
Bigger contraptions is NOT the answer... Spend all day moving around the general area, dropping the small magnet and puling back up then move a foot, in a grid pattern.
Rob try Tractor supply or harbor freight for the wheels. As far as the hacksaw blade do not listen to the internet warriors. I worked construction in the 80s and 90s we used metal rated hacksaw blades before the newer tools ever came out. For cutting PVC.
I love this video. I think I would put 3/4 inch pvc caps between the magnets. Probably with a little 3/4 inch pipe to lift it a tinny bit. Honestly have know idea, but loved the video.
What a coincidence, I lost a brand new Baitsanity bait last night, and I was dragging a similar magnet today and had no luck. Then I watch you doing the same thing....I only have one. I need to do what your doing and add more magnets.😮
You could try putting a piece of angle iron on one side to act as a rake. In theory the suppressor will get caught on the magnets and the angle iron should make it harder for something to knock it off the magnets
Maybe add rope to every other magnet in your current set up where the magnet can swing a little but not enough to connect with neighboring magnets. There is still a chance on the fall in the water that it does swing into a neighboring magnet if it's dropped down too fast.
Drill holes in the wood for the PVC to go through so you can make the height shorter then attach them on the other side of the board. This way you have them only a few inches high. If it doesn't work at least you only have to replace the board or be a few magnets short
Keep what you have, just use longer zip ties so the magnets can hang lover through the 2x4? That'll give them the depth they need, and the ability to move freely to "protect" the supressor if its getting dragged?
Just purchase another suppressor. In the mean time, instead of bailing wire use 1/8 " stainless wire rope as that shit will never break ,and it should not be as magnetic as wire.. Maybe use Flair's underwater drone to locate it and drag a magnet on a tether that you could release if the drone got tangled up in shit . Think about the content you could get out of the underwater recovery of the lost suppressor..
Imagine the ski’s you built were designed like a w, remove then cut the center section out making them a u. Reattach the ski’s without the center section bringing it closer to the ground. Making the magnetics able to move a little would help as well
Need to figure a way to hand it from the bottom of the boat tied up on both sides of the boat. Lower it down level let it hit the bottom and then pull it back up some and roll around the lake
You need to add a 12in post to each side to attach the ropes to. Because the way it is now the magnets arnt facing straight down because of the angle of the rope when pulling. Also you could of built like 8ft electric magnet for like 200 with coated wire, a 8ft rod anf a 5v battery.
Yes this is exactly what I had in mind the board is turning sideways and probably dragging long way because of less force plus under water those magnetics are super weak.
Magnets don't lose power under water .. have you never seen some of the stuff they pull up magnet fishing ? .. he needs to locate the suppressor first using a GoPro and some powerful underwater lights and then use the magnets I think he would get it within an hour or two with a couple cameras sync'd up top and down below so you know the location once you spit it on the cameras
Use a piece of angle iron to attach the magnets to, and the whole bar will become magnetic! Attach 2 more pieces, maybe to make it a triangle with the magnets connected! I believe the setup with the triangle rope isn't working, and possibly dragging the board any angle. Also alternate the magnets on top and bottom so when one catches it and rolls offthe top will secure it. But the triangle will give it more area for a second catch! 😅
Do ¼ PVC pipe screwed into the wood on the edge and then curve the wood in front with a nice chamfer so it's shaped like a wing. With the PVC pipe under it, it will have natural lift in the water from the shape but just a tad because of the weight of the magnets, and the pipe is small enough to not impede anything.
One word GoPro ... It's pretty easy to run onx and GoPro time stamp the location and you have your suppressor .. that lake might be pretty murky under the water to just dive it a couple gopros and some heavy duty lights on a 2×4 sled will scare it within an hour and then you can trieve it usjnh the nagnets and a rope once you have the location
Yep, and do a divers circle search. Ideal for bad visibility trying to find small objects. Dump a heavy weight at "ground zero". Extend a line from the weight to the furthest radius of the search area along the bottom, anchor that line with a stick, weight etc. This is to be used as a visual reference line for the diver. At the center weight, the diver attaches a line to do a full round (using the reference line as a visual cue when the circle is complete) Then extending the line the as much as the visibility allows, do another round, then repeat until the furthest extent of the search area is reached. Its a very systematic and thorough search method for bad visibility and one then knows that the certain area is properly searched. Navigating under water in bad visibility is nearly impossible, and the search will mostly be very random if not using this method. Without this search method, using a diver will be just as random as the magnet. If the visibility is bad that is. Jordan jiggles probably knows of this method.
Get some 4 inch or 6 inch round pvc pipe and slip it over the 2x4 at each end. It will slide on the bottom easily. Just a foot long or smaller. It would be like a wheel but stationary. Just drill a couple holes thru the round pvc and fasten it to the 2x4s at each end.
Bro get you another 2x4 and cut it in half, make 4’ skids out of that. If you need to raise it higher then add a spacer block of wood between your skid and magnet board
scuba for it , your buddy whit a TH-cam channel can help . you can put a ski like object ( longer than those you have and put 1 in the midle to ) under it so it slide's over the bottom just like fishing nets . remember those skids will go in the mud . dive for it is the best i think whit metal detector
Maybe try a strap, put eyes through it, then screw the magnets down through those eyelets and tie the rope to the end of that strong tie down type moving strap to that. Easy faster cheap and way more usable and likely to catch it. Good luck!
Brotha, if there is no other major metal pieces in the pond use your sidescan and look for abnormal returns on the sonar. It’s the same technology they find shipwrecks with.
Just call jigging with Jordan. He can scuba dive down to it.
Call Jiggin with Jordan
He cant lol bridge burnt already apparently
@Shadan-simmons how do you know? Cuz some moron commented it?
@Shadan-simmons how do u know? Cuz someone commented it?
Hence where’s Batman from his old videos at BMR ranch
That what I was gonna say if you know the location have jiggin dive down with metal detector
I don’t think anyone has said this but call Jiggin with Jordan 😂
I said call Jake
Seems like scuba gear and an underwater metal detector might work better.
Facts!
Easy now that makes to much sense
But not as much fun! lol
Rob feeling pretty dumb after reading your comment
under water metal detector
$70-200 on amazon
not if they are finding all those shells down there, it will take forever
Call Jiggin With Jordan!
$800 magnets. You are darn close to the same price of just buying a new can and tax stamp.
Should have called Jiggin !
He might of burned that bridge
Jiggin with Jordan….enough said
Get jiggin with Jordan
Is the supressor titanium by chance.... cuz if it is, magnets wont help....
Came here to comment the same thing
He has shown in the beginning of the vid that he has 2 of them and the one he has currently stuck to the magnet

Snorkel and flippers for 35bucks and get to work🤣
Damn Rob!! Could have bought a wet suit and scuba gear by now!! 😂😂
that escalated very quickly , makes for good content .
be safe from Dublin
Jigging loves to scuba dive
If they’re dangling the magnets will swing and get stuck to each other.
I was laughing at first but now I’m just really sad for him. I can’t imagine going through life like this. I think he could use medication for some but the rest can’t be fixed. I’m glad he got rich bc at least he can laugh at his struggles

Have Andrew (Flair) come down with his drone submarine, that make a good episode.
Fr
Exactly
that poor boy has had some hard times with 2 tornados! but he had a child too in the drama of storm and thats GREAT anyday!
Jordan has a submarine with cameras mounted ..
@@davidh.holmes1379 And he is being sued for wrongful death at the Nuke Bunker.
Just drain the lake. Your welcome 😂
the way we find things also is you take items the same size as what you lose and throw/drop them in the exact same spot you lost the last item you want and it gives you a solid spread of where the falls could go
Having the water dragons in your circle should never be forgotten.
Call jordan
Dang! I was just thinking the same thing! Brilliant 👏 👏!
As an ex-sparky, we used hack saws to cut most of our PVC. Cords are a pain in the butt and batteries were saved for the drills. Anybody who gives you crap for it doesn't know WTF they're talking about. 😂
Matt Carriker has a remote Submarine… CALL MATT
I don’t believe Matt does, however @Flair has the remote submarine. He took it into the missile silo he owned there for a while
You would not be seeing anything much other than dirty water lol
I don’t think Matt and Rob talk anymore.
Now I know you are friends with Jiggin. I know he is busy, but maybe contact him next time.
From what everyone is saying is No he’s not friends with Jiggin that the bridge was burnt
@d-dub3305 you have no idea if that's true.. stop saying it like it's true
@@d-dub3305proof?
Use a roller like people pull with their mowers full of water for their lawns but cover it with the magnets you have
Get Jiggen to dive it
You could’ve called Yappy and had him dive for it with his scuba gear
17:03 😅 a pvc cutter is like $5 at harbor freight 😅😅 the drive would have saved you time and money 😂😂
Put your magnets together in a large circular pattern fixture. Then sweep the bottom in a grid.
I hope your mouth is feeling better. I took out my wisdom teeth a couple years ago and it made a world of difference in reducing plaque and giving me fresher breath.
C'mon on Ranger Rob, let's go diving? If not, know you know a few seal buddies! People already talking about Jiggin, Dally, etc...
I'm not going to make joke for 2am and I apologize cause now can't recall if Ranger or SF? Know Army specialist. No disrespect boss.
It's a bummer you lost your suppressor in the lake and the ideas to retrieve it isn't working out either. However, at 19:26 made me giggle. I hope you find the suppressor soon.
rob, if youre worried about the PVC causing it to fload, why not fill the PVC with water and seal it off BEFORE submurging it in the water?
Since you magnets had eye hooks.... How about using another set of larger eye hooks screwed into the 2x4's, or large U bolts screwed into the 2x4.... to adjust the level and be more secure than bailing wire....

Bro, you “Army’d” the shit out of that. Get some sheet steel, make skids with an up angle and a piece of 2x4 stand-off, and drag it.
Screw 8" wheels to the sides with bearings so the magnets stay face down. Basically like making a roller magnet we use on construction sites for nails and screws
Put the magnets on the opposite side. The side you're pulling from. The backside of the board is just pushing everything away.
Before continuing to redesign your whole build put something similar on the magnet and drag it the way you’re doing and see if your theory of dragging it off is true or not.
Buy sticks of 2” pvc. Drill big enough holes in center of pipes to allow screw head to pass thru and screw them to the boards. Glue on long turn 90’s
Sounds like a job for Jiggin
Bigger contraptions is NOT the answer... Spend all day moving around the general area, dropping the small magnet and puling back up then move a foot, in a grid pattern.
Bring Matt Tardio fishing in the lake!!
Magnetic pool robot for the win!! 😂
Rob try Tractor supply or harbor freight for the wheels. As far as the hacksaw blade do not listen to the internet warriors. I worked construction in the 80s and 90s we used metal rated hacksaw blades before the newer tools ever came out. For cutting PVC.
Should have done a traingle...and put longer bolts into the magnet.... Or threaded did so you can adjust the height..
It would be fun to find one of the really popular magnet fishing people on TH-cam and do a Collab in your pond to find your suppressor
I love this video. I think I would put 3/4 inch pvc caps between the magnets. Probably with a little 3/4 inch pipe to lift it a tinny bit. Honestly have know idea, but loved the video.
YUPP WITH EVERYONE ELSE CALL JIGGEN 😂
You need to get jiggen with jordan out there rob
What a coincidence, I lost a brand new Baitsanity bait last night, and I was dragging a similar magnet today and had no luck. Then I watch you doing the same thing....I only have one. I need to do what your doing and add more magnets.😮
Try 6-8 inch solid plastic lawn mower wheels attached to the ends of the board.
Put the magnets on the other side of the piece of wood so it double sided
Drag the magnets facing towards you and not away as you are at the moment.
You could try putting a piece of angle iron on one side to act as a rake. In theory the suppressor will get caught on the magnets and the angle iron should make it harder for something to knock it off the magnets
You shoulda got Jiggin' With Jordan to come out and dive for it.. thats his bread and butter
water skis attached should hold the magnets square and close to the mud easier to drag
Maybe add rope to every other magnet in your current set up where the magnet can swing a little but not enough to connect with neighboring magnets. There is still a chance on the fall in the water that it does swing into a neighboring magnet if it's dropped down too fast.
use a 4 foot 2x4 as a skid. put a eye bolt in the skid to tie the rope to. - no pvc pipe needed. just 2 - 4 foot 2x4 and 2 eye bolts.
Drill holes in the wood for the PVC to go through so you can make the height shorter then attach them on the other side of the board. This way you have them only a few inches high. If it doesn't work at least you only have to replace the board or be a few magnets short
Someone doesn't work out anymore.
Keep what you have, just use longer zip ties so the magnets can hang lover through the 2x4? That'll give them the depth they need, and the ability to move freely to "protect" the supressor if its getting dragged?
make a rake and have the magnets configured to potentially catch onto the suppressor? I imagine your newly built lake isn't full of weeds yet
😂dude just get a scuba diver to go get it!
Just purchase another suppressor.
In the mean time, instead of bailing wire use 1/8 " stainless wire rope as that shit will never break ,and it should not be as magnetic as wire..

Hi bud you needed to zask jiggin to dive for you dikving the anwser lol but love the options 💯🤿🤿🤿
Scuba dive for it man
Someone call mark Rober 🤣
If you’re worried about the pvc floating you could just put water in them when you make the fits
Need to figure a way to hand it from the bottom of the boat tied up on both sides of the boat. Lower it down level let it hit the bottom and then pull it back up some and roll around the lake
Use a roller like people pull behind their mowers full of water with magnets all over it. Drop it down there and roll it everywhere

Could add wheels to the side or better yet just hire a scuba diver 😂
Hey bro I use a couple of plastic bottles to give a little flotation to leave the magnets on the bottom and the bottles reduce the weight in the water
You should get jiggin with Jordan to dive your lake to get your suppress out
Do ¼ PVC pipe screwed into the wood on the edge and then curve the wood in front with a nice chamfer so it's shaped like a wing. With the PVC pipe under it, it will have natural lift in the water from the shape but just a tad because of the weight of the magnets, and the pipe is small enough to not impede anything.
Put magnets on the sides and the top of your 2\4 that way if it rolls it’ll still hook it
Two words. Scuba diver. Good time to learn .

What about a rake or something like that or net they use to get weeds or collect golf balls you will think of something but won’t the pvc float
Next time just call jiggin 😂
Rob just phone Jigging with Jordan and get him to swim it
You need to make that board into a V shape to control the drag. Just like they make the weed razor.
I think it won't because it acts just like a fishing boat net when it touches the bottom it starts collecting fish
Under water drone jigging with Jordan has one
Bro get you another 2x4 and cut it in half, make 4’ skids out of that. If you need to raise it higher then add a spacer block of wood between your skid and magnet board
scuba for it , your buddy whit a TH-cam channel can help . you can put a ski like object ( longer than those you have and put 1 in the midle to ) under it so it slide's over the bottom just like fishing nets . remember those skids will go in the mud . dive for it is the best i think whit metal detector
Call the ATF lol
I think Jiggin and the other diver boys you know would be the call to make.
Drew out here disregarsing a cheaper scuba tank and an underwater metal, detector
Man + River collab in the future?? He will find it for sure
You could see if maybe Jiggin could come out and dive the lake with his metal detector and see if he can find it
Maybe try a strap, put eyes through it, then screw the magnets down through those eyelets and tie the rope to the end of that strong tie down type moving strap to that. Easy faster cheap and way more usable and likely to catch it. Good luck!
