Honestly, metal artists are some of the nicest people in the world too. I went to a Devin Townsend concert with a friend who is disabled and we were the only ones in the handicapped section. After the show, Devin came over to introduce himself to me and my friend and it was one of the best experiences of both of our lives. We also ran into the guys from Lamb of God after a show and they stuck around to talk to us for a while and just hung out with us outside their bus. Really cool dudes, 10/10 do recommend
My favourite track from them. I must have listened it thousands of times over the last 15 years. I think swedish bands have an incredible talent in portraying cold, solitude and death.
Loved your reaction! I love this song. I’ve watched a few reaction videos to this song, it’s interesting how different people find different things of interest in the same song! Something even I haven’t noticed after like over 200 listens
I feel like with Opeth, it’s really hard to branch out to other bands in the similar genre. They have so much to offer in each album, and I’ve been hooked since middle school. This week, I’m stuck on the Deliverance album.
Hi!! I'm from Sonora, México. I saw your videos since long time, my first view abour you was the reaction of Jaguares song "la célula que explota", I really love it so much. So now I propuse you a new reaction about a Mexican group named Maná, they are really good and their songs have a special lyrics. I recommend you Maná- El rey live from Puerto Rico. Hope you enjoy it !!! Sorry I'm doing my best with the little bit english that I know hahahahaha.

The drummer for Opeth at the time was Martin Lopez. He has a new band that have released 4 albums. Not one bad track on them. I recommend Kuraman as a first. The well is endless...except 4 albums :-). Hopefully another one comes soon.
Nice to see a total honest reaction. Usually when i start to listen to album by band it means that i want them to take me in places. I want to feel for a little bit a different story. Sometimes i wanna smash someones face with a hammer, sometimes i wanna feel the evil in myself and just fly in sky as a demon and sometimes i just want to be the knight slaying the dragons.

Hey buddy been your admirer since a long long time. Just keep doing what you're doing. You're introducing me to so many new songs each day. Also I have a song suggestion for you *Kaathalae Kaathalae - 96* , you don't need to react to it, I just wanted you to know about it. Love ya. i.
I've seen so many people in videos like this talk about how nice metal fans are. In the last year or two I've been finding that I like progressive metal like Periphery and Tesseract quite a bit and I just started listening to Opeth the last few days and I like them so far. I've gone all my nearly 30 years so far not listening to this music but I totally get it. It's funny how people connect to this dark and angry sounding stuff.
Like your reaction! If you like double bass drums, you absolutely MUST check out Bleed by Meshuggah (yet another Swedish metal band), the live version with drum cam! And if you like singers who can switch between screams and clean, Jinjer is a must. Everyone starts with Pisces for the surprise, but I think Perennial (live at Wacken) is the one to watch.
Two random things: Yes, it's the same guy singing/growling everything (Mikael Åkerfeldt, also typically playing several guitar solos in each song), and yes, that drumming is ridiculously tight and good, and there are some studio outtake videos of him (Martin Lopez) playing this very song, as they were recording it. It's sick. Of course, Lopez left the band due to personal issues before they ever got to play it live, but the new Opeth drummer Axenrot plays this super well too, as can be seen in their multiple live performances since 2005.
First of all, wow this reactionary is cuuuuuuuute. Second of all Opeth is one of my fav metal bands of all time, and I adore their more "prog 70's meets metal" sound they have over the last 10 years. They have spanned such a powerful and unique change in their music, from Blackwater Park (mainly metal/death metal) to Pale Communion (hugely awesomely prog rock, so many rotary organs and mellotron sounds) Ok ill un pause you and keep watching.

Hey Scott! I love watching your reactions but a few of my favourite reactions of yours to Laal Ishq and Maula mere maula seem to have been removed from your channel. Is there any reason you did so?
I understand why people recommend Ghost of perdition, however that is a tricky first, very progressive. You should start with som more easy going stuff with Opeth. Try Porcelain Heart or Windowpane or maybe Burden for softer Opeth songs and without harsch vocals. If you want to continue go heavy I recommend you try The Moor or Drapery Falls, both songs contain clean vocals as well as harsch vocals. If you want to try a song from Opeth with only harsch vocals then I recommend Black water park.
