Hello, welcome back to my channel! In this video, we'll be discussing seven of the best PlayStation 3 exclusive games according to my personal picks, The BREAK CONSOLE. Remember, this list is purely based on my opinions and preferences, so if you're wondering why a certain game isn't included, it's all subjective. Feel free to share your own list in the comments section.
Without further ado, let's get started.
First off, when it comes to hack and slash games, titles like DMC or God of War immediately come to mind. However, there's one often overlooked PS3 exclusive called Heavenly Sword. Released in 2007, this game boasted stunning visuals for its time along with solid hack and slash gameplay. Despite its simplicity, the game controls were detailed; attacking wasn't just button-mashing but required combos and strategic planning to overcome opponents.
Next, we enter the realm of Naughty Dog's popular series, Uncharted. This series includes three exclusive titles for the PS3: Uncharted: Drake's Fortune as the opener, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves with its evolving story and gameplay, and Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception as the trilogy's conclusion. The gameplay offers third-person shooter mechanics with challenging combat puzzles and linear exploration mixed with platforming elements reminiscent of Tomb Raider.
Although I'm not a Metal Gear enthusiast and have only played a few titles like MGS1, Phantom Pain, and Revengeance, it's undeniable that the series has always been well-received by fans. On the PS3, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots stood out with its revolutionary stealth gameplay, allowing players to use camo technology to blend into their surroundings and strategize in new ways compared to previous entries.
Moving on to the racing simulation genre, PlayStation is renowned for the Grand Turismo franchise. On the PS3, Gran Turismo 6 marked a significant improvement over its predecessors. With a variety of events and modes, realistic visuals, fully licensed cars, and detailed customization options, GT6 nearly achieved racing game perfection.
One of the most spectacular entries is God of War III. Though not a pure exclusive as it's also available on PS4, the PS3 version was highly anticipated, concluding the epic Greek mythology saga. Featuring brutal and satisfying hack and slash gameplay, a beautifully crafted world, and impressive cinematic scenes, the gameplay experience was truly gratifying.
As a pioneer of the souls-like genre, Demon's Souls was a game that started the trend of high difficulty without the option to adjust it. Though not flawless, it paved the way for more famous Souls series entries like Dark Souls, Bloodborne, and Elden Ring, offering intense challenges and satisfying gameplay experiences.
Last but certainly not least, we have The Last of Us. While not strictly exclusive since it's also available on PS4, PS5, and PC with a remake version, the original PS3 release remains the most iconic. In this blood-soaked adventure set in a post-apocalyptic world, players control Joel and Ellie against both humans and infected creatures in brutal third-person gameplay, accompanied by a deep storyline.
So, those are my picks for the seven best PS3 exclusive games. As I mentioned earlier, this is purely based on my personal opinion. If you have your own views or a different list, feel free to share it in the comments to exchange references for other great games. See you in the next video.
