    I was curious in your way of approaching local businesses, so I watched your video whoever you are. Maybe the title hocked me into, or your glasses combined with that baseball hat, that sporty nerdy vibe, I don't know, but it worked, I fell for it. I'm sorry for this honest, not bot-generated review, that was so not time efficient. But I hope it gives you a new perspective on your business. You look good on camera, you can talk, you can edit videos, you're good with softwares, that's cool! You could use these skills for so so many purposes. So I take this 10 minutes from my morning and give you some feedback. For me, this is yet another video letting us know some cool tricks how to squeeze money from people, how to work less and be rich, so it's a little disappointing. I can relate to your intro, how local business owners don't really care about the fancy web dev talks that we give, thanks for your advices, but I personally wouldn't recommend your way to anyone. It's the typical quantity over quality approach and automated spam generation for the hope of that big money. The message seems so made up and even though you save their names and links in variables, that doesn't make it personal, still a typical spam massage that I get all the time, and the promise of a website by clicking a link.. is it just me who gets suspicious by links from random messages? I live in a small city, and what I believe in is the hard way: be a friendly person wherever you go, talk to the people while you are "consuming", understand their needs, and approach them IN PERSON. Say: Hey, I like what you do (your pancakes, your restaurant, your service whatever that is), just wanted to say thank you, your business is one that I care about. So please, whenever you face a web related problem to solve, let me help you out, I'm a developer, here's my number. And of course have a solid portfolio at hand to showcase as they approach you. That builds trust, in the era of deep fakes. And trust means long standing freelance businesses. You're selling your opinion in courses (which is fine, you do you), I was just giving you mine in this comment.Thanks for the opportunity. Stay cool, be nice. Cheers.

    If i am being honest your selling yourself short on the template option. They are not paying for the website they are paying for your time and expertise witch should go at a premium. The jump from 150 to 5k is really big. Where as if you charge lets say 1-1.5k then the psychological jump is fare less. Your customers don't need to know this is something you can easily do. They are not in the tech business and they got money so let them pay. You risk being seen as a low value service because of your pricing. I know its not logical but i am telling you thats how people think. Also you offer a great service to those businesses it should be more expensive to part of your program. Please stop thinking like an employee and start thinking like a greedy value providing business owner. I hate when people sell them self short.

    • @aramv898
      @aramv898 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      You got a point too. My opinion! Its fine at the beginning when you starting out and you're building your portfolio and experimenting with your prices.

    • @Lightflames85
      @Lightflames85 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@aramv898 but in your price there are signal s it signal how confident you are, how good your team is and how much value you create for your clients. If your priced lower then a full time employee then the client will think how much value can he/she really bring to me? Also you Cant get the best talents to work for you Witch means poorer service to your clients. Also you dont have budget for unforseen things.

    This platform looks cool. I’m gonna check it out, but I’m skeptical of relying on one of these big platforms. They are fundamentally not in your control and basing your entire business around one platform is convenient, but extremely risky. It’s particularly risky if it’s not possible to migrate your customers to another platform if you need to, for example if the platform went bust or started charging too much.

    In the UK in a small city like I live in, a roofing contractor will not pay for a website, let alone £100+. I know you'll say I'm not showing them value etc etc, but the truth is, they genuinely don't need one. It's a country of small enough cities that these guys get more than enough work through recommendations.
    Sure, you might find the odd ambitious roofer who wants to scale, employ staff, and be the best in the city, but for 90% of these businesses, they're busy, earning good money by themselves.
    I've been trying to sell to local trades for a year now and getting nowhere.

    I tried this method when calling and emailing businesses. Just as an example: 4 wanted the website example. I sent it to their email. They never got back to me. I followed up 3 times. They never even looked at the example. Ultimately I gave up and left it. There needs to be a way on how to filter out the non committed as this is just exhausting..

    I gotta ask, aren't there rules/regulations against sending unsolicited communications to businesses that one doesn't have a prior relationship with? How do you go from scraping contact information from Google to messaging these businesses without breaking rules/laws (i.e. CASL) ?
