Great mod. Just did it tonight and WOW are they bright! I had to make the holes a little bigger in order to get the light to fit, but it is in there snug! Thanks for recommending.
I bought a lifted 03 2500, no idea what he put in, but my reverse lights are super bright.. brightest I have ever seen.. I don't think they are these though.. definitely led
I have struggled with finding a good solution to the poor output from the backup lights and this looks like it could be a great solution. My concern is with backing my 5er at night and light reflection off the camper essentially blinding me from seeing (in the mirrors) where the camper is going. Would love to see a video showing how that would work.
I think if you really wanted a solution to that issue the lights would have to be mounted on the mirrors or something, or on the back of the trailer. i think this would def reflect back at you. It would be mint for unhooked visibilty though
Niiiice idea. 👍👍 I think i would recommend siliconing the hell out of those solder points for the northern guys. I have some flush mounts i was going to cut into the bumper but this would definitely solve the problem too
Hey, I’m in high school and my 03 1500 is making a rattle bang sound from the front end. And I saw ur vid on the suspension mount bolt can u go in depth about it for me please I’ve been in the same boat as u I’ve started to replace parts I thought needed it but still no fix I’m running out of money bro😂😂. So could u please make a vid and help me out
Ok I searched for the H11 bulbs and they all are like the first one you showed. Couldn’t find that short stubby one at all. What is the sub model Or something with the second set it’s almost like it’s missing the deflector part. I would like to try and find 2 sets one for the 05 and second I’ll try to make them work for my 2000
@@DieselCamper I tried a few led tail lights for my 2005 Ram. However none of them work. Is there a way to install a electronic flasher on this Veh? I like what you did for the backup lights. It’s perfect for backing up a trailer in the dark
These are not reverse lights, they're fog lights and you've made them work as reverse lights. Good idea if you have the time to make this happen though.
My wife says i cant watch you anymore! I knew I find another mod to do on the 3rd gen. Thanks!
Ha! Thankfully this is a pretty affordable one👍
Just did this tonight on my 3rd gen ram, it looks great! Thank you so much for making this video

Indeed this is not a good solution if you have a trailer hooked up

Nice job!!! me like!!! any worry about the amperage on the wires, just a thought.. brighter light maybe higher bulb temp. I still like, though..
No, my thoughts are the original wires were designed for an incandescent bulb and these are LED which usually use less power.

I’m looking for the complete model not just H11 I’m guessing they were a fog light not headlight. Still no luck

Great idea! I'm doing it.
Where can I buy those model of lights
Those are brighter than the stock headlights lol
Hello my friend good work I like it can you do the same with the turn signal light as well using headlights?
Front or back?
@@DieselCamper hello my friend,

Nice to bad you had to cut the factory plug.
No big deal those light fixtures can be replaced if needed.
